- When I was travelling in Russia alone in October 2019, I spent some time in Moscow. While I was there, I knew I HAD to eat at White Rabbit, commonly known as Russia's best restaurant, and also featured in an episode of the Netflix series "Chef's Table".
Although I had noone to go with, and felt a bit weird to go fine dining alone, I knew this might be the only opportunity I had to eat here, so I just did and booked a reservation.
As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, I was blown away by the AMAZING view over Moscow. I had never seen a view like this before at a restaurant. What followed was 12 courses of unique, intensly creative and delicious food.

It's a shame the NATO caught Russophobia. I loved going to Russia frequently on nonstop flights from the USA. Beautiful nation and people. Hope those days return soon! Go Team Z--get 'er done. A Russian-American with a heavy heart.

Was a reservation needed? Also can one order something aside from the 12 course meal?
Yes I made a reservation pretty last minute and they were able to accommodate! And absolutely, they have an a la carte menu so you could go and not spend too much but still enjoy the views and atmosphere of the place if you wanted ☺️

The restaurant is on the 13th place in the ranking of the 50 best restaurants in the world. That's $ 260 for this.
They go to such restaurants not so much to eat as to stay away from reporters and ordinary people. Those who go there will not notice such expenses.
But in general, this is not a typical price for Russia. Depending on the region, you can eat well from $ 3 to $ 10.
Yes it was very very expensive, but I had always wanted to go to White Rabbit and not sure if I’ll ever get to go back, so it was worth it for me! But most other days were spent eating cheap and cheerful street food ☺️
