- Classic Game Room HD reviews PANGYA FANTASY GOLF for Sony PSP. Is it golf, or is it Pangya? The South Korean PC MMO comes to PSP with a bang, Pangya has a solid technical foundation and excellent gameplay far beyond its overly cute anime art design. Play 9 fantasy golf courses with 18 characters. Pangya on PSP has storyline more, tournament mode and a network multiplayer mode with up to 8 people. This CGRHD review of PANGYA Fantasy Golf has gameplay footage from Pangya Fantasy Golf on PSP showing this outlandish golf game in action. It's like Golden Tee meets anime.... although not good anime like Akira. That would be awesome! The graphics and mechanics of the game are excellent and should appeal to people looking for a very creative golf game with wild courses and cool game play features. From Ntreev and published by Tomy, Pangya may appeal to those Golden Tee and Tiger Woods Golf fans as well as anime fans looking to dress up characters and play a fun game. Seriously, it's really well made. It's kind of like Mario Kart with golf but without the Nintendo license. Classic Game Room reviewed Pangya Fantasy Golf for PSP as a PSP reviewer reviewing PSP video games.

Been playing this again on my jailbroken PSTV. Charming and chill game.
This is one of my favorite laid back games of all time.
One of my favorite PSP games :)
I just loved the story mode and the play time was quite long.
Whoa, wait, this game has magic rainbow dresses?! I'm in.
i got this game at an outlet store for 3.99 thinking it would be a possible waste of money, but it is now one of my favorite games to play on any console, im hoping for a ps3 version in the future!!
awsome im a fan of ur reviews but i never knew u would review my fave game :}
oh nice! i love golf games, i actually played this briefly for pc but couldn't just sit there and play golf, having it on my psp will be so much more convenient!
LOL. I just won Pang...
I used to have this game, when i had a PSP. Now that i have a Vita, i find that i wish it was available to download. It's as good as Hot Shots Golf, but i like the more outlandish visuals of this. Excellent Putt @ 6:30 to 6:45 or so. For the EAGLE!
Sad that the international PC version of this finally shut down. Changed hands a few times. I jumped back into the game last summer, just to try it out again. I could see in game that it had died off badly, not just player base, but no one at all wanted to just play a fun honest game of golf on the MMO version. It was all about grinding Pang. Pity. They really ruined it in this respect. I think likely when they allowed players to trade, it gave people reasons to grind pang beyond the stuff you bought in the shops, which when inflation kicks in makes it 1000x worse. In short, it wasn't about competition or fun, but about grinding. Not the same game I used to play.
Kameraden awww the pc version is gone? Pity i really like the psp version and was gonna try the mmo
Kameraden I miss this game and was thinking to start again, gutted its gone.
Keep in mind, Thailand's server is still active. that I play.
@@Y0shiart2 Sadly it isn't the same game anymore. Back when you had actual builds, not just strength.
@@Alte.Kameraden You can't really take emotions very seriously.
I play, because I didn't play US or Japan, when it was available, I was happy to play it.
"I got a Birdie. Now to drink me some Pang, mmmmmm Pang".
i wish this is available on PSN
Pangya used to be called Albatross 13. Now it's called Pangya.
i miss this game 😭
You can still get it cheap on amazon for $20
Fun looking game and entertaining
review. Thank you, Mark.
well i gotta say im a late comer as to getting the psp as i just got it a few days agao and havent got my 16gb sand disk pro duo magic gate yet ^^ or any games for that matter i use to play this on the pc and this great review just helped me towards probably getting pangya as my first psp game ^^ : btw is the tomahawk and cobra shots and what not in the psp version?
And thx for the great review.
@Tristen778 NO, even BEFORE it was called Albatross 18, it was called Pangya.
hola yo tengo el emulador PPSSSPP ¿que extencion seria los roms de este emu para nokia n8?
that looks so cool! i'm totally getting it!
I KNEW YOU'D REVIEW THIS GAME!!! idk why, i just knew you would. But where is the Transformers 2 DS reviews you promised??
I played the English one and all the sounds from this video brings me back xD I remember I studied a formula for like pitching balls in lol 9i formula I think it was or like 6i don't remember what club it is now lol.
Golf on PSP seems to go together well. I remember playing Hot Shots Golf Open Tee for months.
speaking of crazy courses, mario golf for the gbc had some intense and insane golf courses, floating platforms and whatnot
you should find that game and review it.
@GarethReuben He's supposed to review the game not impress random strangers on the internet. But I kinda agree with you.
lol at 0:20 how you couldn't hit a pangya!! :O i mean that stick has so much controll so its almost impossible to dont hit a pangya. but still a good review.
i wan to play against someone :( but you cant play on the internet! i hope that there comes a pangya portable 2 where you can play on the internet!
Does the psp version have the powershots like the pc version? Like the cobra and tomahawk?
Also if you ever loved mario golf for nintendo 64, this game is for you. It's basically the same thing, execpt with loli weeaboo fightan' magick
Wow, Pangya is on the PSP and the PC too?? I was gonna buy the Wii version~
I usually don't care much for golf games... Golfing is fun to do, but the surroundings are dull, and it's the same thing over and over again~ Pangya adds anime and cuteness to it, two of my favorite things XD
Use the analog stick to aim for the top or bottom of the ball, then set the power of the swing, on the way back, hit either up or down on the d-pad that corresponds with the direction you set. Then hit a perfect pangya shot and you get it.
got that game - it's quite cool but - yeah - but very challanging in the later on story mode ^^
The music sounds like Flyff's Flaris theme. o.o
how do u record on PSP?
dude this game really rocks especially the online one finish it got to the last rank
LMAO " Now I can finally buy the magic rainbow dress I always dreamed of! " LOL omg i'm dying!! XD I love this game and there are so many more characters on the PSP version other than the pc game. Been thinking about buying the PSP one for awhile now, I think I want it. It seems really interesting!!
@BloodyScar14 Well I'm from the states back when it was called Albatross 18, didn't know Pangya was even the title for it somewhere.
@damakuno Yeah, it's just that people usually didn't played it when it came out, on 2002~2004
reminds me of Hot Shots golf. I love that game
good graphics. And,what psp gamer are you reviewed?
I'm totally getting this
Gotta love that game :D
I play it on pc
I want a talking bag like that, where in japan do you buy one of them?!
yes, it's on the PC too. It's free on the PC, it's called "Albatross"
3:04 ow that hurt LOL
this game is much fun!! whenever i'm bored i play it C:
Now i can finnaly buy the magic rainbow dress ive ALWAYS WANTED!
Looks fun... but the dialogues at the end looked cheesy..... still fun. Nice Review.
I used to play this game xD It was fun xD
Season 2 on Wii is awesome, But now I so want a PSP just for this.
@bigbakaboon Why yes the PSP version has all the same shots as the pc version. Nothing really changed between the PSP version and the Pc version except some characters can only be played on one or the other.
I love it when he says pang ya xD
That's exactly what Mark was thinking at the end.
I never tought I' say that but this game is maybe the BEST game I've played on my PSP and PC. this game also makes me like golf itself.
A must buy for the psp gamer
MAGIC RAINBOW DRESS!!!!.....im sold now :3
this is the most fun golf game ever! who knew golf could be fun?!!? lol, i hope someday they make a game were u go into the characters body (like a ghost) and it would be sooo cool! but i love the art style. they also have this for computers but its just golfing
looks like a nice game.
@madboy5566 I played it when it came out, searching for games and shit, i were a "Newfag" to the interwebs.
But man, i remember 06, silvia cannon and white wiz were released that year right?
It's like a anime Mario golf game it's really fun n.n
This game on the computer is so sick!
For some reason, Mark always makes me want to play games, which I don't even look at. For example: this game! Or Plants vs. Zombies! And Peggle!
looks fun =)
on hole 4 of pink wind you can use a double powershot and a spin pot to do a long shot spike to the hole...just sayin
This reminds me of Hotshot golf
@Tristen778 Correction:Albatross 18
what was it... distance +/- elevation and blabla wind power
Saying, "I got pang" Sounds so dirty.
hey pan
ha never heard of it. It is like anime golf. It looks cute.
YOU GOT PANG!
I really wanted this game, but it's nowhere to be found nowdays D:
I also play pangya and it is a great game
...and you know, like golf... hahahahaha xD
Pangya... a Korean golf game. I'm not sure I'm too interested, but it's nice that the game has a solid engine behind it.
I do think that most Korean games have AMAZING art direction, though. Mark disagrees. Who needs Tiger Woods when you have a giant panda?
You drive at the beginning of every hole, that means there's a mini driving game on every stage. Nyuk nyuk
Albatross 18 is the name you're looking for.
Or Panya, if you live in Asia.
arin is still cute just the way i remember her...
Aaaanyways...the PSP version of Pangya is has easier controls than the pc....
Just a cobra+powerspin is enoogh to make a hole in one in this game!
I'm kinda surprised you compare this to Mario Kart i mean there's noting wrong with that but Mario has it's own golf, tennis, baseball, soccer game as well as a basketball game on the DS plus a Dance Dance Revolution version and a Olympic game shared by Sonic from SEGA.
man, i wouldda bought this instead of hot shots world invitational if there'd been a new Vita version at launch
how can you compare this to mario cart? it is totally different. I love this game. and mostly because i like anime. much like i did love "everybody's golf"
I was not into golf at all before these games. but they quite turn me around to liking golf. well, on video games anyway.
Oops, while Mark is bad ass, I meant Uncle Bob is BAD ASS.
it was, with ogplanet, but they split up and pangya is its own game with ntreev and now called pangya
anime+golf=awesome
thank you animefreek619
@savelijah Bro, you is a legend.
pangya, some countries use albatros for the name. (PC)
4:22 XD
@vigaristAA12 i forgot.. :P
LOL good one man
woot the best ive ver done for first comment
I have the first one for Wii which I love. Tiger Woods Golf is just too real and well boring to me. No music, all the courses essentially look the same. I mean, real golf would be alot cooler if you could drive between aircraft carriers. I would love it if CGRHD did a review of one of the Wii versions.
4:25 rofl "now i can finally buy the magic rainbow dress I have always wanted"
i have to say that in class out loud like:
OOH MY GAWD!!! I CAN FINALLY BUY THE MAGIC RAINBOW DRESS I ALWAYS WANTED!!!!!!
Hey there
LOL! How much friend chicken...
@TheSexCrazyMan Well for being a basic skill why is it called a special shot? And if you do not read the manual then you do not learn how to do it in-game until later (And he was only playing scout's story).
Korean psp game?
I play this game now so funny
i always love eagle than birdie....
it's very common to like eagle than birdie...
You can play the american version on a europe psp, thats what I did.
is that a paper bag? i thought it was a piece of toast.
I saw someone did a -50 in BL and it's totally legit.
The PSP is cheaper than it use to be and Pangya is a cheap game now. About $5 or so online new. Check out Amazon and you can find it cheap there. Its a great game ^-^
4:15 lol
You mispronounced "PahngYah". But, the PC version is AWESOME!!
This is gonna come off nit-picky, but the word is pronounced Pang-Ya (two syllables), not "Pangaea" as you keep saying in the video. Heck, the game even says it for you when you do a powerful shot on the dot. It's a Korean onomatopoeia for "bang" or something to that effect.
lol i can get the rainbow dress i always wanted
