I really wish Thor would have lived. The man would have been able to rebuild and repair and become a respected God once again. The Giants would never forgive him, but he he might have been able to atone
That wud have been overkill yo. The two most absolutely powerful warrior Gods teaming up, there wud have been no physical threat or adversary who could match em both at once. Just one is enough to level the entire verse man

@@cromugus he's saying that Thor is like a young Kratos who never found purpose outside of destroying, tons of parallels, Odin even kills Thor the same way Zeus killed Kratos.
@@cromugus also Kratos is a demigod by birth even without his powers from Greece he can still contend with powerful gods (Baldr is the only one that actually put up a real problem for Kratos until his curse broke) aside from Thor who I think was equal in power but not in skill and discipline. Kratos I think felt bad for Thor as he saw himself in him tho he doesn't show emotion well due to Spartan upbringing hardening him.
That's basically what it is. You see that in their dialogue: "Don't you know... what I've done?!" "YES!" - Notice how he says it without missing a beat, as if the answer is obvious. Because to Kratos, it is - he definitely sees his younger self in Thor. Being used as a weapon, as a destroyer, in Thor's own words. And he knows he can be better, which leads into the next thing he says: "But what will you do now?" That's the most important thing here - not what was, but what is and what can be. Kratos has lived it.
I can't imagine the look of disgust on Kratos' face when Odin kills Thor. And then hitting Thrud right after lmao. Also where tf did Mjolnir go? Did it fly along with Thrud? Lol.
@@WebHead1996-1it seems out of character for all, but imagine if Odin pulled a "fine, I'll do it myself." At least Kratos has the excuse of not being able to think straight when he killed his child. It was an accident. How much does he hate himself for that? However, Odin did it on purpose. He made the conscious DECISION to murder his child.
There are too many mistakes in Odin's Prophecy he spoke off Its like his "prophecy" are just made up stories he wanted to make and play the role And Kratos made it reality.
It was never about prophecies... he obsessively sought “answers” to questions bigger than his rule over creation. He wanted to know the secrets of all of creation, life, death, time, space etc... That is why Atreus has lived for so long... only Atreus can deliver these answers to him.
thats the point of it all, prophecies and fate is bullshit, thats why kratos immediately went and got a weapon capable of easily dispatching heimdall, if avoiding a prophecy will inevitably cause it to happen then going directly for it will ultimately cause it to go wrong.

@Christopher My money is on Odin. It took Freya, Atreus, and Kratos to beat him. Also, didn't they say this is the strongest kratos ever been? Shouldn't be any contest.
When Odin arrived he legit asked Thor why Kratos is not dead yet like bruh you expect Thor to kill the world serpent and Kratos too on the same day 😂 I wonder what Odin was doing until this point cause he definetly wasn't around Freya dealing with them and Surtr

Losing your significant other will do that to you. And also having the right woman by your side can make you see things you were blinded too. So yes it's crazy how these last two games are. So much emotion. I love you
The parallels are incredible but unlike Zeus, Odin doesn't have the luxury of outside "corruption" like Pandoras box. He's completely in his functions and chooses to be a selfish, manipulative, cruel, evil god. It's actually eerily....human?
Damn i felt sorry for Thor, he was my favorite god in this saga. A fucking beast, you don't know how bad i want to know what Heindall saw when thor faced him.
Sorry? You couldn't tell the game designers were crapping on him the whole entire game? (Plus previous game too but whatever) From his looks, to personality, and then everything in between. I kind figured they kill him off -- he also only ever got "changed" in merely the last few little seconds of the whole time we've seen him in this series as well (unlike Sif for example who is already "changed" from the first time she is encountered in the game despite Mimir's description of her pre-Thrud)...
@@multiverse_media2023 Yup. At least Thor and Kratos do a fair fight with their strength and anything fairly with Honour and now Redemption, and are really similar in common. @@กฤษดากลิ่นพิกุล I legitimately don't know about that. On one hand, he plays dirty and cowardly, but in a way of trickery and sorcery, so that goes along with his character. On the other hand, he lifted Mjolnir with one hand and smacks around powerhouses like Kratos while being jumped by Loki and Freya. Mjolnir in mythology was supposed to be so heavy that only Thor could wield it. So there's that. I still enjoy Odin in this game tho, more cunning and less warrior-like. Especially since he's hanged/killed himself before which is something that's frowned upon by Viking ideals.
This is the best 24 minute clip on the internet and 4K thanks for this my friend I'm actually playing this game right now I can't wait for this match I thought the first one with Thor was rough

Could of had Odin put the mask on and fought him in an “all knowing” form with surtur as the backdrop, Instead of just breaking it. Could of fought all throughout asgard & on top of the wall instead of just his house. Idk everything was amazing until the very last fight 😔

I wonder would happen if Thor actually fought Odin alongside Kratos and Atreus. Would make for an even more intense boss fight
Looks like Goku and frieza vs jiren
Odin would've lost. I think that's why he killed Thor. He knew well that fighting Thor was going to be a losing game no matter what so a disobedient Thor needed to die.
I really wish Thor would have lived. The man would have been able to rebuild and repair and become a respected God once again. The Giants would never forgive him, but he he might have been able to atone

if it were young kratos, it would be a massacre mimir would constantly reprimand him to stop, kratos wouldn't reason with thor, he'll just continue bashing his head or worse.
You see that in their dialogue:
"Don't you know... what I've done?!"
"YES!" - Notice how he says it without missing a beat, as if the answer is obvious. Because to Kratos, it is - he definitely sees his younger self in Thor. Being used as a weapon, as a destroyer, in Thor's own words. And he knows he can be better, which leads into the next thing he says:
"But what will you do now?"
That's the most important thing here - not what was, but what is and what can be. Kratos has lived it.
I can't imagine the look of disgust on Kratos' face when Odin kills Thor.

There are too many mistakes in Odin's Prophecy he spoke off
Its like his "prophecy" are just made up stories he wanted to make and play the role
And Kratos made it reality.
Well kratos can break fate so
It was never about prophecies... he obsessively sought “answers” to questions bigger than his rule over creation. He wanted to know the secrets of all of creation, life, death, time, space etc... That is why Atreus has lived for so long... only Atreus can deliver these answers to him.
@@Ozzie_Mandias
And once Odin gets what he wants, he has no more use for his informants.
thats the point of it all, prophecies and fate is bullshit, thats why kratos immediately went and got a weapon capable of easily dispatching heimdall, if avoiding a prophecy will inevitably cause it to happen then going directly for it will ultimately cause it to go wrong.

@@กฤษดากลิ่นพิกุล I legitimately don't know about that. On one hand, he plays dirty and cowardly, but in a way of trickery and sorcery, so that goes along with his character. Mjolnir in mythology was supposed to be so heavy that only Thor could wield it. So there's that. I still enjoy Odin in this game tho, more cunning and less warrior-like.
