    All hail the Queen!! No one from the Jinjer army will lead you astray, not a bad song in their catalog!! If you decide to continue down this beautifully heavy, sometimes dark but always positive rabbit hole! You will see that their whole goal is to give every song as much attention and love as possible! Each one ridiculously talented, yet still work their tails off and not one of them gives a damn about anything more than producing a perfect composition, that's it! It pains me to think that Roman, Eugene & Vlad will be criminally underrated for that fact! Because they will never give you more then the song needs! The whole world needs to know Tatiana is on this planet!

    She goes even darker in their live video of "Pit of Consciousness". "Perennial live at Wacken Open Air" is also a good one. A lot of their best videos are live recordings. Also "I Speak Astronomy" which is off the same album as this song is very good. Having said that there are very few of their many videos you could go wrong with for a reaction.

      True, generally speaking they are all good live videos aside from Wacken, (the only really good performance being Perennial)

    • @coder4liberty
      @coder4liberty ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@neilpatrickhairless Except for that last song that gig was a nightmare for them. They should have never been shafted with an 11AM slot at that festival. The sound crew didn't get their you know what together until the last song of the set. So unfair to the band. Sure it was 2019 but the band was more than popular enough for a better slot.

    Yup! Lil’ 5’3” Tati is belting that out. She does it even better live. A few have already been mentioned, but would recommend the original music video for ‘Home Back’ which is about the 2014 Russian invasion to their home country of Ukraine. They are all from the eastern region which was invaded once again last year so it hits a new, different way now.
    The purpose of the video was actually to introduce Vlad, the new drummer.

    If you are already so thrilled with Jinjer (Tatiana) because she switches from melodic and angelic singing to growling like snapping her fingers, then you will be at least as thrilled with Dimash Kudaibergen. Dimash doesn't switch between melodic singing to growling, but he can change pitches and pitches like others can change the direction of their eyes in a range that goes beyond the complete range of a piano keyboard and that's just like snapping your fingers. He changes the entire spectrum of tones in a song which then sometimes serves several musical genres and also changes vocally within the song between pop, opera, oriental singing and so on. So if you can't keep your mouth shut anymore, Jinjer and Dimash have everything you need. 😁

  • @lkayh
    @lkayh ปีที่แล้ว +7

    There’s not much that’s more fun than a blind reaction to this piece. If you really want to be entertained, check out Julia Nilon’s reaction. That’s pretty much how I reacted first time thru, except I ended up in a fetal position for a bit. LOL.
    As I understand it, this piece was meant to introduce their new drummer-who is, as you say, a beast. Jinjer is a Ukrainian group. They’ve been raising funds for the war effort in their concerts.
    Anyway, great reaction! I’m not normally into this kind of music, but like quite a few people, I’ve made a bit of a hobby out of watching blind reactions to this.
    Speaking of blind reactions, maybe you should check out Dimash for a change of pace. No research ahead of time. It won’t be your kind of music but he’s worth a listen anyway.

    VoicePlay now to Jinjer... you definitely have a regular watcher. Tatiana is the best female at growls I have ever heard. She has an alto voice (very low for a female), so she is able to hit growls a lot of women cannot.

    I was never a fan of this type of music until I found Jinjer! I always thought it was just a bunch of screaming to hide the lack of talent! I was so wrong! I began researching how this little girl could be producing that sound. It takes years of practice and discipline to reach Tati's talent level! She isn't the only female who does this, but in my opinion, she is the best! You can't go wrong with any of their songs!

    You need to see her live she has a lot of different guturals and voices that she can do, she is a great singer. I saw them live last year with Hammerfall and Helloween here in Costa Rica, a magical night. React to "Judgement & Punishment (one shot)" where you can see her sing in perspective, so you can see her position to sing betweeen voices and also the movement of her chest and shoulders. Great song to analyze.

    That is 100% Tatiana, she is top-notch. The entire band is very talented. None of them have had formal training except for Vlad (the drummer), he's actually a classically trained. Tatiana is self-taught for both her clean vocals and her growls. Although in recent years she had taken some vocal coaching.

    There is very little difference in the structure of the larynx between men and women. A bit larger for men, and a slight difference in geometry because of the 'Adam's apple'. Tatiana appears to be very comfortable with a range that is quite low for female singers. You can also see that when she is doing this screaming technique, she's making a lot of use of the rest of her throat/mouth for extra resonance. She's figured out how to do this in a very smart, and effective way.

    Pisces is one of those songs which makes a huge impact. For many bands there's not much beyond one novelty song but in this case the majority of Jinjer's discography is far more impressive.
    In my opinion, they are a top band, musically significant and walking a different path. Their song quality varies from great to excellent.
