    Watch the left hip of Brookes at address and the letters seen on the sign behind him. Then as he shifts his weight watch the letters and where his hips go. Every golfer who has played at the top is forward in their shift the same even Bobby Johnson back in the day. Get to the reverse K posture because your rotating and angled shoulder because of spine angle. That is how every single proven swing in history has done it. Theoretically you can do it otherwise. But if you’re going to be on plane with the right elbow in to you ribs guiding the club on plane you must shift to that position. I’m only saying what you can observe on every great tour players swings. The other way will be difficult on the body and less consistent if you do get it to work. The pga guys know this that’s what sets them apart consistent repeatability. And FYI Rahm, Hoviland, and Morikawa figured out a beautiful thing with the wrist bow. If you get that with the up turned straight elbow that it encourages you’ll be a stripe show artist also. It drops you in the slot more efficient squaring the face thru impact also! Cheat code😁

    For what it's worth... I do indeed try and POUND the ball into the ground. Not doing this at an amature level is nuts. High 70's, low 80's. Make sure you hit center, and have an up and down game. For me, when in doubt.. CHIPPER out

      Thanks for the feedback and what you think about during impact. Appreciate the comment!

      Great question...
      I almost don't want to think about it. I just look at the top of the ball and pound it in the ground for, say, a loner iron in the fairway. I get great contact, compression, and make sure to have a balanced finish. The results are just GOLF and a good short game. Most likely a chipper. And that is the truth.

    This guy is awesome! Cannot pretend I understood anything he said. I saw lines. I couldn’t recognise what was good v what was bad. That may be the gin (gin o’clock here in the uk)?! What I could recognise was passion! Wrestling with my swing myself. #golfishard

    This may be off-topic, but please share the details about that wonderful telescope.

      @liongolfacademy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The telescope is a powerseeker 127EDQ, I am in no way a telescope buff, but since we live in the desert the family and I jump in the 4runner and go to either Joshua Tree or even closer at Borrego Springs to use it. It is so amazing to just spend a few hours in the pitch black dark desert skies and lie on the roof and look up into eternity. The telescope gets used as well during those trips.

      Hey thisway! I have never met the man so I don't have any say on that. Obviously he is a good instructor and has a lot of world class talent. I am just trying to keep the average golfer educated to work with a coach if they can as most of the stuff out there is built to "sell" a system.

    So shaft aimed at sternum maybe ?

    • @liongolfacademy
      @liongolfacademy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! This limits the excess tilt and keeps your two circles more connected allowing for a more stable centered golf swing
