This! Thanks for posting. I've only been golfing for 4 years, but last fall when I started to move my body and let my left knee move towards the ball during my takeaway, so much instantly corrected. For some reason, probably because I used to hear it a lot on TV, I wanted to restrict my lower body. Then, at a lesson, I was told to move more naturally and let my body move as illustrated at 4:45 in the video. It actually felt awkward a bit at first but now feels completely like I'm letting my body move as it wants to. The difference in contact, consistency and distance was immediate and profound.

Got a foot of snow here in Vermont but I can't wait to try this. I am so focused on getting my hands in and arms moving on plane that I forget using my body and constantly roll my takeaway. So frustrating knowing what you are doing wrong but not being able to figure it out. Gotta get that belly button moving!

I've been struggling with an early shut face and the compensations this leads to for a few years. Within a few minutes of working with this product I had an "aha" moment of the correct motion. Now my hands can work in while the club stays on the arc. My face angle is now equal to my spine angle at club parallel instead of shut. For me its important that the yellow rectangle is flat when the hands are at the right pocket so that the toe has raised the right amount. Excellent product. Thanks Eric!

One thing that good golf instructors with good golf swings aren’t very good at is illustrating exactly what a bad swing is. I would love it if you actually used an amateur’s swing or somebody who actually does the swing fault in motion instead of trying to illustrate it yourself.

The vitriol of people against commerce and and free market capitalism is astonishing. A guy goes out on a limb to create a product to help you play better golf, go through the prototype phase, pay for production with no guarantee he’ll sell a single unit much less make a profit and then do what you’re supposed to do, market, sell and promote all with the goal of improving people’s golf game mind you, and then gets ridiculed for it. I just don’t get it. Eric is also trying to make a little extra through affiliate marketing by promoting a product he BELIEVES IN. If he didn’t think it might help some of his viewers play better golf, he wouldn’t be promoting it like a snake oil salesman, his reputation is too important. Okay, I’m off my soapbox.

Do I “need” it? No. Can I do the same thing without it? Yes. Do swing aids and trainers help? Dang right they do. Does Leadbetter market a little aggressively, probably. I just don’t get the hostility towards him. I haven’t noticed but does Martin Chuck get the same reaction? Sean Foley? Maybe they do. They’re all grown men and have thick skin and it doesn’t bother them.
