    Fantastic road! Thanks for sharing. I guess two Fiat 500 would easily fit side by side... :)

    Definetely one of the drives in Slovenia, with amazing views to Carnian and Julian Alps. Unfortunately you couldn't go up to the saddle, hope they repaired the road shortly afterwards. Thanks for the video, greetings from a fellow roadtripper and creator from Germany!

    For a few years now they have blocked the road near the penultimate car park, I guess it will remain that way indefinitely.
    Small landslides have always occurred on that stretch of road 200 meters ahead with stones falling onto the road, especially in late winter-spring with the melting of the ice formed between the rock layers and triggering breakages.
    But the last time was more significant with rocks falling from above which dug and deformed the asphalt.
    It's practically impossible to make that stretch of road safe with those sheer walls, unstable rocks and without further distorting this wonderful landscape.

    Very good scenario. At 2:10 that boulder on the left puts some anxiety.

    Čudovita narava! To cesto bi prav rad premeril z mojim motorjem BMW R65, ker za peš in kolo več nisem.

    Is that a dead-end road ?

    • @EuropeanRoads
      @EuropeanRoads  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it is. It used to end at a small loop road at the summit, but it's truncated after a rockslide occurred.

    3:43 oh, I can see that now there is a permanent barrier. In 2021 was such a thing and it was moveable. puu.sh/JfudJ/3f045c6c46.png

      I thought it was a temporary closure, but apparently the upper 3 kilometers of the road have been closed for about 10 years now.
