my resolution is to quit eating sweets. you cant trust me around gummies. as for dental stories, i had to have a tooth pulled one time, but couldnt afford much so i had to go to the dental school in kc to get the work done. well there was one problem when the guy tried to pull it. he squeezed the grips so hard on my tooth that it shattered in my mouth and tooth fragments went everywhere. they had to call in one of the teachers to finish the job and to show him what to do in that situation.

When I began to realize that other kids had a Tooth Fairy rather than a mouse, I wondered why. I eventually found out that my father didn't want me encouraged to believe in fairies but was willing to compromise on a mouse. My brother was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate. He has had 20 surgeries and had most of his teeth pulled, bone taken from his hip twice and a cadaver once to be put in his mouth, and gone without front teeth for most of his teenage years. Finally at 21 he has prosthetic front teeth and took his first real bite of a burger in years a few months ago.

Many years back, I needed oral surgery to remove the remains of 2 teeth that had been broken just below the gums. After, the dentist ordered me not to brush or even rinse til the next day. Some days later, the side of my face began to hurt REALLY badly and swell. Turned out the dentist hadn't bothered to clean out the area, leaving bits of tooth debris that made their way to the salivary gland! It caused such a massive infection that my doctor put me in ICU for days! To add insult to injury, I will be subject to random infections for the rest of my life. My awesome doctor gave me a bit of advice. Try to keep sour candy on hand for the reason that it causes saliva to be produced excessively thus rinsing out the glands. Love my doc!

I am someone with a very high pain tolerance. I got a shot of novocaine either way and after my mouth was numb, my dentist started pulling, but instead of it being swift and painless, I could still feel it. I told my dentist and he used a different method by removing my gums with a tiny scalpel before continuing with procedure. This work, but unfortunately I had to make another appointment for the other wisdom teeth. At the next visit, I told my dentist to go big with the novocaine and he did. The procedure was then a succes. After it was over, I had to walk 3 kilometers to my house while being very loopy. I missed being so loopy. Hahaha! Sorry for to long story. Love you, Rebecca!

If you go to a road in a village call Seixo da Beira in Viseu in the middle of a night you'll see a woman on the side of the road asking for a lift. She gets inside your car, you start talking to her like a normal person. Then you ask where she lives and she'll tell you she lives in the cemetery. You turn behind and there's no there. According to the legend a woman was killed on a car accident and since then she haunts the road. She asks for a lift because she wants to return home.

When I was young I had a Korean friend who told me of the Korean tradition of throwing the lost teeth onto the roof which makes them grow back faster, so I took up the tradition and now that I have long since moved away, I imagine that any current residents of that house who happen to go up to the roof will be in for a creepy and confusing find.
