Who else feels like wood trim looks kind of out of place in all of these modern sports cars with all their tech and screens and whatnot? I feel like faux carbon fiber or brushed aluminum would be much better
Yeah I would agree. I just bought a manual M3 in December and I would say you are probably better off with the M340i. You get almost all of the performance of the M3 for everyday use. I wouldn't bother with RWD though. Unless you want to limit yourself to not being able to use the car in the winter. No matter what anyone says the M3 is basically unusable in the winter. Well at least where I live anyway.
Oh man, I would enjoy the M3 so much more! We had one for a week, the comp so not the manual, and I would go for that! M340i is a great option too though, so just depends!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yeah that's fair enough. And there is that last 2 tenths you get with the M3 that you can't get with the 340i. But you'll probably not use that all that time. I would say probably less than 10% of the time even. That's where lifestyle features like a sunroof, some tech like remote starts etc, great fuel economy and so on really start to make sense for an average person. IN a car that will already do 4 secs to 60. No denying that the M3 is better as a performance car but there are some downsides (it's very thirsty for example) and you'll probalby not need what the M3 can do majority of time.
Still loving my '23 M340i. Mine is nearly identical to this one except I have the Tacora Red interior. Would like to have that new steering wheel though
I ordered one of these out of Santa Fe. A brand new M340i Xdrive. I wanted Portimaeo Blue with the whitish interior and it has been about 3 months now and if I check on the website it says it is still in "Final Production"
@@MG-jp5ij myself and "bros for speed" both waited 18 months to get an RS3 we ordered! Your wait time is minor and you chose a great color so it will be worth the wait! Congrats btw

I’m thinking about buying a m340i but I hate the shifter and absolutely love the older ones although these new gen’s look good, is it worth it buying a 2022 m340i over this? Please respond
“Worth” buying is up to the buyer, so it depends on what you’ll enjoy. The shifter isn’t terrible, if you like the rest of the car. But if you can’t get past the shifter, then the older model would work, but that depends on what you want.
My place M340Xi is priced same as Civic-R. I struggle to decide what is more fun option for daily driver and ordered FL5. Which key you will rather grab?
My brother owns a Civic Type R! He really enjoys it! Big difference with the manual vs auto, so that's a factor, but he uses that as the practical car, being a hatchback it provides a lot of space and usability!
Alpine is a flat white color. Mineral white is metallic white and looks a little bit baige next to alpine white Alpine white is more like pure white like snow color
I’m using a pocket 3 that can film in 4K, it’s just not necessary for every video. Takes 3 times as long to edit and uses battery much more, so when I’m filming 4 or 5 cars in a day, it’s not worth the extra hassle.
@BrosFOURRSpeed please take it as constructive criticism and not as an offense I think you would get more views with 8-10 minutes, 1440p+ car video instead of +30 minutes on a 1080p
@@andreinitescu1768 I wasn’t offended…we choose what content to film in 4K because of the time it takes. So it’s not every video and that’s what works for us. Our videos aren’t even 30+ minutes so not sure why you think that.
The best car all around by far. I’ve driven the m340i and its a solid car. The new style shifter however is garbage. It’s the worse new tech bmw could ever come up with. Maybe a dial shifter but Mr that. Anyway we can only put up or shut up and walk away.
It looks like my new 2025 Camry SE from the side. Not $64k only $34k for a Camry and it is very comfortable, economical and surprisingly fun to drive. I’m sure the ride is much smoother too. I think the Camry makes more sense as a very reliable daily driver at a great price. Better value and depreciation is less over several years of use. Negatives- not a stiff ride, not huge luxury feel and obviously it’s not as fast because has smaller engine less horsepower.
@@rembo183 not comparable and you would see that if you test drove the M340i! Different class of car honestly but yes a camry will hold its value much better!
How are you comparing a Camry to this… are you commenting this to make yourself feel better and justify your purchase? Otherwise why are you on this video lol.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed - Yes thank you, I enjoy the ride and like the styling. I love the low price and low maintenance costs too. The MPG is incredible.. Overall Toyota hit a home run with the new Camry. Bought the 2024 xdrive version of this car. If you don't get the xdrive, you made a big mistake! Trying to save $2000 and a little weight at this level is just silly. Just buy the 330 if that is you.
Definitely not a big mistake. It all depends on the buyer. AWD may just be quicker off the line if you’re talking performance. Off a roll, it’s the same essentially. Otherwise AWD technically gets less mpg, heavier, and more things that could go wrong.

Very cool! That's a nice gift!
I consider it a sports sedan and the 340i is the best all around. Luxury sedan is the 5 series or Mercedes E-Class. Thanks for the great review!
Yeah, I could see that, still a very nice luxury interior though!
Am I the only who hates that tiny shifter?
It’s not everyone’s favorite, but still functional.
I don’t like it either
How else are they going to save $3
Many things work that I just hate. Gloss black, no physical buttons and that stupid little gear shift

Is the remote start now standard? It’s one of the must haves here in the Midwest.
I believe it’s still an option.
Does BMW have an off button for the auto engine shut off in eco mode?
