G Body El Camino Restomod: Supercharger Cooling System; Plumbing a Killer Chiller

Keeping the heat down in a positive displacement supercharger is crucial. In this video I install the plumbing for the supercharger cooling system. This setup includes a bypass valve to eliminate the heat exchanger, as well as a rear mounted reservoir and coolant pump. The Killer Chiller will be the primary system used to keep the supercharger temperatures low. In the event of an a/c system failure, the bypass valve can be opened to allow coolant to flow through the heat exchanger.

The Killer Chiller taps into the A/C and “refrigerates“ the coolant flowing through the supercharger, keeping the temps down.
