I never understand why people decorating a charming home like this don't capitalize on it's original style and charm. We want to see a place where Miss Marple would be happy, not a sterile, streamlines plastic kitchen more suited for a highrise in a huge city.

People want to live comfortably, so hence modern amenities. How would you like to live in an outdated kitchen, bathroom, etc. It's nice to view all this charm for a while, but to live in it, that's a different story.
