Hello Tim. Just found you last night and I have to say your work fascinates me. I just started playing around with a dremel and having some fun.

Great idea. I have 2 other brands that I use for my carving and other handiwork. One is a 2 diopter and the other has a 4 diopter and a 10 diopter that I can interchange. All magnifiers are great.

You are right. Any magnifier is great! Having something is much better than not having anything. They all the the trick.

    Hi Tim, how you're doing?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on carving in small places (I live in a really tiny apartment, so space is an issue to me).
To be more precise, I have a 3x3 ft square room available, do you think it's possible to set some kind of "mini-carving-studio" in a place like this? I'm mainly concerned about the dust and proximity to the working table. Ah, I don't know if it's the right place to ask, but thanks in advance!

Hi Thiago, my carving table is just 4 ft wide x 43 in deep. You will need room for dust collection of some kind. I could easily set a bench top dust collector on my carving table with no problem. Power carving creates a lot of dust. I highly recommend you get some type of dust collection. It would not be fun (or healthy) to breath all the dust, and get completely covered in it.
I can answer your questions more completely through my website. I have a contact page here: carvingonwood.com/contact This will make it easier for me to fully answer your questions. Space, dust collection, noise, lighting, and more will need to be considered. You do not upset your neighbors as well. There are solutions for all of these areas.

Yeah, I see there's a lot of things to be covered on the matter. Thanks for answering and sharing the info Tim, I'll drop by the site and, any doubts, I contact you from there.
      Happy 2015!!
