I honestly love GameCube era Mario games. While the N64 era did it first, GCN took the Mario series to the next level and was the best of the early 2000’s! ^^
The Gamecube era is definitely a strong contender for the best Mario era for sure. Luigi's Mansion, which gave Luigi his first solo starring role (and no, I don't count that atrocity called 'Mario is Missing'). Super Mario Sunshine, which is still a great 3D Mario game in spite of some issues it may have and gave us the debut of Bowser Jr. Paper Mario TTYD, which is considered by many to be not only one of the best Mario RPGs of all time, but also one of the best video games of all time in general. Not to mention the Mario Party and Mario sports games on the Gamecube are arguably the best in the series. Mario Superstar Baseball is, no lie, one of my favorite Gamecube games of all time and definitely my favorite Mario sports game on the Gamecube. I love the mechanics and chemistry system, and Challenge Mode and Toy Field are always a blast to play for me.
Right! It’s a great franchise and it was gamble that definitely paid off! We wouldn’t have gotten E-Gad and idk if I would be able to live without him :)
Great video, and very informative. I do have 1 nitpick tho. Including Luigi's Mansion into the list, despite being technically not a Mario game because it stars his brother Luigi instead, makes sense to see since it's still part of the Mario universe. However, so are Wario and Donkey Kong. So, including Luigi's Mansion and even Smash Melee, but not any of the Wario & DK games was kinda disappointing to see, and makes your video feel incomplete.
I appreciate the comment! I want to make a whole video about all of warios and donkey kongs games too! When i make it i will find your comment and let you know if you want :D
Bruh no Wii u was arguably worst, other then mario 3d world, and maybe nsmbu, the wii u has some of the worst first party mario games, which are mario party 10 and mario tennis ultra smash
Yeah, I don't think anyone will disagree with you at all. The Wii U is hands down the absolute worst era for Mario. Mario Party 10 was fun for a time or two, but definitely very lackluster and easily one of the worst entries in the series. Ultra Smash was just a lazy cash grab for Nintendo to get something out Mario related for the holiday season. The only Mario games worth noting on the Wii U were Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World (both of which are far better enjoyed on the Switch anyway)
The 2000s era for Mario was so much fun.
It was such a great time to be a fan
I agree.

I agree! I have a new video coming Tuesday about the Wii Mario Games if you want to check it out :)
Very good and consistent videos man! Been enjoying these a lot!
Thank you for your kind words and support! I appreciate it more than you know :)
It’s the Spiritual successor to Mario is missing and Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a spiritual successor to Hotel Mario
I want to stay at a Mario hotel
This is a really good video you definitely deserve more subs, I watched the whole video!
THANK YOU, i really needed that today and i appreciate you sticking around for it all. Maybe someday ill get more subscribers :D
Awesome video! Idk if you knew this, but there is also an obscure Mario Dance Dance Revolution on the GameCube, maybe warrants a video on its own?
Yeah i want to make a whole video on that game cause that was ... interesting.
I just have too memories about Mario GameCube Spinoffs.
Will you cover 3ds Mario later down the line, because I feel that era of Mario is overhated nowadays
Absolutely this is my first video on the topic and I will definetly do more :)
3:18 I think that Mario 64 feels dated. Mario Sunshine has one of the best controls in a mario game
I only truly understood the depth of Mario Power Tennis and Toadstool Tour after playing their GBA counterparts. Those are underrated gems, imo.
So true
I want a double dash mode so badly in the next game.

Good content. Please make more of these. Maybe a Metroid related video next? Subbed!
I can absolutely make a metroid video and i will lyk when that happens :D
Superstar Baseball and Super Strikers 😭🐐❤️
I miss both of these games so much, MAKE THEM GOOD AGAIN
Great video!
Great COMMENT :D
I’m really glad Nintendo decided to give Luigi’s Mansion a sequel, eventually creating another series in the Mario franchise.
Right! It’s a great franchise and it was gamble that definitely paid off! We wouldn’t have gotten E-Gad and idk if I would be able to live without him :)
@@StrawHatMidas E. Gadd is a really awesome character! I’m honestly surprised he didn’t appear in Mario Kart yet….
I feel like the GameCube should have at least had a 3D Donkey Kong game.
Great video!! New subscriber here and Looking forward to More :)
I really am glad you enjoyed and hope to make more videos you will like!
Its the only 2000s nintendo console i never owned. Therefore i never got to play Sunshine until 3d all stars came out. Ive never played luigis mansion

Good video but you forgot mario dance dance revolution.
You’re right! I’m going to give it its own video and I’m working on the script for it right now! It’s a weird game lol
the overly bouncy text in this video makes it very hard to watch
Stopped saying Oozed so much - once a video is probably more than enough
You should of brought up wario world sure it’s a wario game but Luigi’s mansion is in the video
Where’s NBA Street V3
(This is a joke)
Luigi's Mansion > Super Mario Sunshine
Best year of Mario games I say, n64 ok but hmm. Wii good but way different with space. Wii U wad nothing lol.
Bruh no

The Wii U was absolutely the worst, it had 3D world and that’s about it
