maybe. because I was alone and I was trying to cover as much team and events as possible I can.

I really enjoyed watching the parade and for a moment it felt like I was a virtual tourist in my own home country. I don't think there's any harm in celebrating cultural-religious festivities like this that for most part is merely a commemoration as opposed to idolatry. Although there are some costumes that are a bit funny as I couldn't find their relevance to the country's cultural or ethnic history, but I realized it comes with a modern twist trying to get the audience's attention by their simple, straightforward and yet effective approach to symbolisms and all that cheese. I truly enjoyed even the flintstone inspired costume and their amusing choreography, and the euphemism in relation to the performers in monkey costumes surrounding the muse in light yellow dress/gown/costume (the one holding the Sto. Nino statuette), as if weighing in whether they could capture her to become one of them (light yellow is a reference to some Asian ethnicities, including some Filipinos because of their complexion). For those who get it, get it. Filipinos are brilliant artistically speaking. What people should be careful about are cults disguised as religions, old or new, who collect money from their followers, or make believe that if someone does them a sexual favor (or any favor) that they'd be closer to god. I've watched so many documentaries about televangelists and social media preachers who are outright criminals.
They should make a removable solid stage for tourist spectators who wants to see this festival wonderful performers. They are very creative costumes and so colorful. I would say tourists are willing to pay $ 10.00 for a well view seat during the street dance performance. They will advertise to tourist during their schedule visit to this City.

If you want to see their performance, just go directly to Cebu City Sports Center. That's where all of this contingents perform. No need for a removable stage in the route area. Foreign and local tourists can watch the street dancing along the route.
