    Blue Ridge, Ga, just 90 miles north of Atlanta, is a popular mountain area for family vacations, romantic couple getaways, retirement, and more.
    With 106,000 acres of Chattahoochee National Forest, 300 miles of hiking trails, and many lakes, Blue Ridge is a great place to live and visit. In fact, Blue Ridge was ranked by Southern Living Magazine as one of the 2021 South’s Best Mountain Towns and 2019 Top Small Mountain Towns for Retirement.
    Here are some of some Fun Things To Do In Blue Ridge GA.
    Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, following the Toccoa River to the town of McCaysville. Sample craft breweries, wineries, surprisingly upscale shops, galleries, and restaurants. Hike to a local waterfall on the Appalachian Trail, tube or kayak the Toccoa or go whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River.

    Downtown Blue Ridge. It has grown in recent years and is a fun place to meeting friends, shop, eat, and more. There are a lot of shops and galleries, small breweries, amazing restaurants, and entertainment (including live music).
    The Blue Ridge train. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway takes you through the Appalachian mountains with beautiful scenery along the Toccoa River. There are different trips based on the season including train rides with Santa, Fall leaf viewing, and even day trips to other towns where you can get off and spend the day and then take the train back to Blue Ridge.
    Wineries. There are more than 20 wineries in the northern Georgia area and many are close to Blue Ridge, Ga. In fact, the area is well known for its wineries. A lot of the local wineries have festivals at different times of the year as well. Every day is a great day to explore the enjoy the delicious local wines and the breathtaking views of the vineyards and mountains.
    Apples at Mercier Orchards. One of our favorite things to do in Blue Ridge, Ga. Is visit Mercier Orchards. They’ve been growing apples in the area since 1943. They have an amazing bakery (apple cider donuts and fried pies!) as well as a delicious restaurant and local goodies like jellies, jams, and crafts for sale.
    Nature. Being outside is one of our favorite things about Blue Ridge Ga. There are beautiful lakes to boat, jetski, or spend time on a beach. There is also white-water rafting and tubing in the area during the summer, which is a lot of fun. Another fun way to spend time outdoors is to take a hike or walk one of the many nature trails around the Blue Ridge area. And then the waterfalls.     Cabin life. One of our favorite things about Blue Ridge, Ga is enjoying time at our cabin with our family and friends.     It’s been a favorite place of ours for 8 years and a year ago we purchased our 2nd home, a small 700 sqft cabin on Piney Mountain and couldn’t be happier.

    We are looking for a home in blue ridge we don’t know the area because we have never been lol. Would you suggest a Mountain View or a lake view? How do cabins rent here? What part of blue ridge is the most sought after? Why is the land so cheap? I’d love to chat about blue ridge before we come explore it for a second home

    Pretty Town and area But Looking for something to Do Forget it Yea the train ride through the front yards and wood Not much to see and then they Dump u in a super Nothing to do town for 2 hrs and the ride back and see other side of woods and not much and Kinda Hi priced for what it is In My Opinion much better lakes and woods and nature in other areas, but what ever floats your boat...
