We are going there the end of this month, we are renting a standard sUV cuz we are scared our minivan won’t make it to the cabin in the mountain 😂. Will the SUV be good ??
What you ought to do is explain to family people who have good moral qualities and values that this town is importing California and nihilist culture from Atlanta Let people know they're going to see a lot of perverse things up here men make it out on the street corners shorty shorts on people who are gender-confused and a bunch of deviant degenerate things
I worked for the woman that owns/owned the Swan drive-in. She talked about closing it back in 1990 when I was working at her house. I got on my knees and begged her not to close it as I love drive-ins! She didn't! I would take my son, no matter what was showing just to live the experience! I live in WV now but proudly display my SWAN DRIVE IN THEATER t-shirt during the Summer months. For years I'd get emails on their show schedule! Was there last some 16 years ago!
❤my last name is Swann which I know that's different than The Swan Drive-in but its still cool 😎 I have never even heard of it until now. I hope that it's still open as I'm going to be able to stay in a cabin in Blue ridge I'm so excited about going. I'm going to try to make some beautiful happy memories with my 16 yo daughter 💕
Love N GA mountains, and ALL the cool things to do. Currently looking and trying to decide between SC and GA. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you 😊
I think you missed the Ducktown Basin Museum (10 minutes north of McCaysville). It's a great way to learn about the copper mining that went on here. Also, 15 minutes north of McCaysville is the Ocoee River where you can take wonderful rafting trips. Love this area - it's been my home now for 25 years!
Always enjoy your videos. Would love to move to Blue Ridge or Dahlonega someday soon to retire. Currently live in Atlanta and am tired of the perils of this city. Keep up the good work.
I love living in blue ridge but they really need to fix the infrastructure. Really lots of politics now, and not in a good way. Hospital has been sold and the changes so far are not great. So many events now the locals rarely go downtown. Having said all that, we are retired live on a ridge close to town on almost 10 acres. I can't see another house from ours and love it. Used to be when you turn on 515 from Canton no traffic. Not anymore. We have not done the local train and hikes, but Grumpy's is great, owners are super nice. Thanks for the video.
Help! I want to move to north Georgia but I have a niche job (pretty much only 1 location per county) that makes my options limited. I would really love to live somewhere with plenty of mountain hiking and outdoor activities. But I also want a solid downtown. I like thrifting and antiquing as well so I would hope there would be an abundance of that too.

Median prices for homes in Fannin County now run around $950,000 as of September 1, 2023. There are no plans for affordable housing since our counsel keeps fighting it. Our infrastructure is crumbling. There is Biosolid dumping going on in the old copper mine in Copperhill, TN and it's creating a terrible smell, not to mention a concern about ground water seepage. Local politics are ridiculous. With locals being priced out their homes and people moving out, plus litter season, we have a real problem with stray dogs and every animal shelter is full. Hospital? Yeah, we have a hospital, but we don't have a level 1 trauma center. Meaning that our "hospital" is very low service, so if anything really serious happens, you will be air lifted to a real hospital, so you better get that AirMed insurance.

@@brandytran4583 It all depends on the condition of the road near your cabin! SUV should work in most cases

Blue Ridge area has out built it's infrastructure and is now having water table problems.

I live in Demorest on the river but I still live to go to blue ridge so pretty & taking the train ride in November can’t wait ❤
The train is a fun yearly tradition

Infrastructure seems to be a recurring issue in North GA towns
Way to many people moving in here

Is it hard to get a job in blue ridge ?
The Blue Ridge Career Center would be a great place to start looking for job opportunities in the area: dol.georgia.gov/locations/blue-ridge
But are there mosquitoes?
There are mosquitoes in the summer
Lots of them in the summer

All facts
Nothing to do in Blue Ridge. This pace sucks.
Really?
Yup unless you are from out of town and can afford the expensive cabins and restaurants here. And activities.
