Love me some elevated bar food! Tipping my yankee hat to blue ridge! And beers are a must! Tipping point looks delicious. Grumpy old me also. So hazy in the blue ridge. thats how you get fall going! 😊 love it guys
That place looks amazing!! We've just come back to the UK from the Blue Ridge Mountains, but we weren't close to this area, we are now planning a Smokies trip : ) I've just added Downtown Blue Ridge to our list of 'maybe's' as we'll be flying into Atlanta. Thank you : )
We are so happy you enjoyed it! It is not a far drive from Atlanta, and you can easily stop by on the way to the Smokies if you have time. We absolutely love the Smoky Mountains and have stayed in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area on a few occasions. It’s beautiful there with lots to do and it’s a great base to explore the parks. The main difference for a place like Blue Ridge is that it’s a smaller town and less touristy, so it could give you a different vibe if that’s something you are looking for. Good luck trip planning and let us know if we can help you in any way!
2:05 "They put thought into every single square inch of the cabin and it shows" -> Shows a ceiling fan that cannot reach the bed. lol the place is really nice but that was just a tad ironic and made me laugh. ♥
Ha-well, now that you pointed it out it makes me laugh, too. I didn’t have time to explain that the bed top below the ceiling fan is actually an antique church door imported from Spain, and that’s what I was referring to (not that anyone would have understood that the way we put the clip together). We are still learning lol. But glad we made you laugh! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! We are just little amateurs who loved to travel and share, so we truly appreciate that anyone outside of our parents actually watch 😀. This cabin is listed on Airbnb. Link is below. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! www.airbnb.com/slink/aYgGuo77
Interesting perspective that we haven’t heard before. We have gone there a few times and didn’t find it crowded, but we weren’t there during peak seasons. Have you found it to be overdeveloped in the downtown area only or all throughout the area? Thanks for sharing because we are interested in the area.
Every town/state at this point is crowded and overdeveloped. We left Colorado because of this and moved to area of SWFL where natives say is crowded and overdeveloped. But we love it here and are glad to be away from Colorado. People usually flock to desirable places. But what do you do? Things change, the population grows, and people are allowed to move wherever it suits them.
That’s a really good point, and we feel the same way from our travels. There has been so much movement within the US since Covid, with some states/cities/towns gaining big population bases. We live in Orlando and it has just blown up in the last 4 years, so when we go to a place like Blue Ridge it seems so quaint and sparsely populated in comparison. Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and watching!
Ha-understood! We have rented plenty of “stuffy man cabins” or “1970s grandma cabins” over the years so we get it 😀. This cabin actually wasn’t too expensive because Blue Ridge is not a peak market. It was about $420 per night but we split it between 3 families. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely! I’ve attached the link below. The host, Michael, is an Airbnb Super Host and is so welcoming. We hope you have a great trip! abnb.me/pNqcqDxZkFb

Its a shame whats happened here. I grew up near blue ridge and it was once peaceful and quiet. Now the traffic is awful and a lot of the implants from other states are rude and think the native residents just need to uproot and find a new place to live.
Oh wow-we hate to hear that. I grew up in Georgia (this is Caleb) and my family would go to Blue Ridge for vacations. Now that I’m older I love taking my wife and daughter because it just reminds me of home. We didn’t realize that it’s gotten so popular and traffic-filled. What you have described is exactly what has happened in the greater Orlando area, where we live, and it’s been tough. Wish you and your family all the best.
@@micalebgoeswest Same thing is happening in Sarasota/Venice area. Sad to see the quaintness of this area going away. Enjoyed your video, as I am taking a trip to Blue Ridge area the first week of June.
We are so happy you enjoyed the video! Blue Ridge is a beautiful place and we hope you have a wonderful trip. We live in central Florida and have also seen the quaintness go away and it become increasingly busier. As a local it’s been tough to see because it’s making it too busy and pricey for all of us who have lived here a long time.
My apologies but when I look in Airbnb it doesn’t show me the actual address anymore (since we don’t have an active booking). Here is the link to the Airbnb and it shows you the general area on the map. It’s was about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown blue ridge. Hope this helps! www.airbnb.com/slink/PDnp940M

“tipping my yankee hat to blue ridge” made us actually laugh out loud 😃. Michelle is from upstate NY so she fully agrees! So glad you enjoyed it!

We could not move away from Blue Ridge fast enough. Crowded and overdeveloped.

Seems pretty awesome but got me thinking I just want to rent a stuffy mountain man cabin so it’s cheap haha

@@micalebgoeswest you know what you’re doing with the splitting the cost great idea!
Every now and then we have a good idea 😉
Do you have a link to Airbnb for the cabin ?
Sure do! We hope you have a great time there, too!
