- So I have so many questions about what to wear during volleyball tryouts. In this video, I will show you the best outfit that you should wear when heading into that gym. When picking your tryout outfit you should really follow these guidelines. I will go in-depth to talk about the top, bottom, socks, and even the shoes. I hope that you like this video about volleyball tryouts. In the volleyball tryout, you want to be comfortable and ready for the game at all times.

@ kokovolley i have a question i will be trying out for my schools volleyball team i have a question we have wellness/ P.E uniforms shorts and a short sleeve shirt our shirts are kelly green and our shorts are similar to basketball shorts but right above the knees wouldni be able to wear our wellness uniform for tryouts?

What I’m wearing for tryouts (my tryouts is on August 18th):
•A bright vibrant purple v neck shirt ( the v neck is not too long🤗)
•black shorts not spandex
•Nike high socks
•a grey sports bra
• black head band I got at my local store
•and knee pads
•*extra* I will also bring a water bottle because of moving around a lot
I’m honestly really scared but I have been practicing for 2 months now and made it to my under hand serve and I’m glad. I really hope I make it in and I have a question? Are v-necks allowed in tryout like in general?? And which knee pad brand are really good for beginners??
If it’s super comfortable and you can move around and get silly then yes!
I know I’m late, but I highly recommend mizuno knee pads they are great they have lasted me for 2 seasons straight and I’m the type of player that goes for everything

So I have been playing volleyball for about a year and have improved a lot because of Koko’s videos! Thank you! Anyway, I had saved up some money and decided to buy some shoes, but I didn’t know what to buy. But of course Koko already made a video about buying shoes, and I decided to buy some mizunos! I’m on my volleyball team at school and I’m not really good at volleyball but my brother is I’m so lucky my coach didn’t do cuts or I wouldn’t be on the team they actually gave me a chance and taking time to teach me at practice

@@gizellegarcia8436 hey thanks for asking! I wrote multiple of these comments on different videos so I forgot to update 😂 but I made the team!! I was really lucky because my state isn’t big on volleyball so most of our public middle schools don’t offer it, but my high school is also very competitive when it comes to sports. There were a bunch of new freshmen (7 new freshmen and 5 sophomores on our JV team) I think around 12 freshmen tried out? If your situation is similar to this then I wouldn’t really stress, the older girls were SOO supportive!! And tryouts wasn’t as intimidating because we were all learning as we went and no one was perfect. Advice wise if you want an edge I recommend you get your basics down (bumps, sets, and hitting) make sure you bump and set a bit high. (Tbh I didn’t know this until after try outs 😭)Also going for the ball is REALLY important, don’t just stand there!! I honestly think that made a big difference on making the team because I noticed that a bunch of the girls who didn’t make it were usually the ones who just stood there. The coaches also told us that communication was a thing they were looking for. Call for the ball like saying “mine” or “I got it” and cheer on for other girls. Also be sure to follow the coaches advice because I’m sure they also want to see how coachable you are! It’s hard to reassure you because I don’t know what your situation is like but if it makes you feel less nervous I ended up looking forward to tryouts everyday (we had it for a whole week) it was nice trying out with a lot of new girls and like I said none of us were perfect! (Most of us couldn’t even serve over the net 😂). This is cheesy but be sure to have fun and give it your all! Also I am so sorry for writing a whole essay 😭 but Ik I wanted to be really prepared when I was looking at people’s results for tryouts in TH-cam as well but I hope this helps a bit! And good luck! I’m sure you’ll do great 😊

I play libero for a team that is third in the country (england) and multipul women's teams as well as a mens and East midlands, I find your videos very helpful for improving my technique on things I don't normally do, for example overarm serve. Thanks for the vids!
