The Bible is mind blowing and this is one of many secrets in the scripture. can you imagine what pain Jesus encounter in that moment of absorbing all the sins on earth so we can be free in his sacrifice. No we can't imagine because is beyond human brain. I love you Jesus Amen.
@kcuf7 I wonder if you are right? So when push came to shove or when Jesus was asked the most important question of all, he failed? Every apostle with the exception of John accepted a martyrs death gladly. In the arenas, thousands of Christian men women and even children went to their deaths singing and trusting God to the end as they were torn limb from limb! William Tyndale and others tortured for days burnt at the stake, yet singing praises to God as the fire consumed them. So the Son of God who is equal to God failed where they succeeded? He doubted God! Lost Faith in God the Father in the end. "Impossible"! Most of those around the cross were Jews who knew their Hebrew scriptures. When Jesus said those words, Psalm 22 would have come to mind and as they reflected and maybe even read it once again, they would have known Psalm 22 was fulfilled in their presence, they had crucified Jesus of Nazareth who was their Messiah. The final and absolute proof that he was God incarnate their saviour. Kindest Regards may God bless us both in Faith! Hope! and Love! in Christ Jesus through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
@@pythonzz7259 well I’m a guy so I don’t care about attractiveness. He’s our lord and savior. To have the willingness to bare humanity’s sins is true love and there is beauty in that
im suffering and IM NOT JESUS!!... LOl........ i don't know what sins i need to absorve anymore!!! LOL!!... why jesus suffering is a thing? bc i suffer too?!!!.. What is the thing about salvation by christ, if no matter jesus did that or not i feel like im in cross and he is in heaven all the time!!! with all of his and the father powers!!!... and he don't pay any price bc he have more power than me he was NOT a human like us why he is more powerfull than that and still he says he suffered :'( why he calls himself a saviour if i need to go save myself in that same "cross"? living for nothing i pay that also EVERYDAY!!! .. he suffer -> 3 -> days i SUFFER ->> 31 ->> YEARS!!!! LOL the fuking life makes me give up living!!!!!!
Jesus was doing a loving thing to remind those around him of Psalm 22. This was are foretold in the scriptures. He was pointing out to them that he was the chosen one.
Keep in mind that the bible is also written by a spectator`s view. This also happens when it says that Moses changes God`s mind. but that is just Moses`s interpretation of the situation. God knows the beginning to the end. God already knew that Moses would pray. Also keeping in mind that God has ultimate knowledge, God wanted Moses to view it that way. Why? Only God knows why. There could be a million reasons why like for example for me it helped a future Christian understand while reading the bible what kind of influence every little detail of God`s plan would have in History. For some people this reason is why some people do not believe. For me it strengthens my relationship with god because i realize how smarter than all off us he is and he has a reason for everything, even the way we view things.
Devan Prianti Actually, that’s interesting that you put it that way because someone quoted me a few weeks ago the cliché argument that God seems to have different attributes and personality between the New and Old Testament and I gave them basically the same answer that you gave here. Though The Bible authors are writing through a divine inspiration as lead by The Holy Spirit, they are also human beings with human qualities, which is why the literary styles are different between books. That being said, God hadn’t changed between The Old and New Testament, mans point of view is what has changed as they highlight different attributes of God through their encounters with Christ.
Adam Mendoza i agree 100%! Some people will discredit the bible all together because of different writing styles or the different kinds like kjv, nlt... or even the fact that there are so many denominations! But i agree that God has never changed. The bible says he dosen’t change. But we do. Such is the reason we have all these denominations! Its not God having a bunch of different views, its us having different interpretations of scripture!
One of the best answers in APJ history. I've always wondered this myself but never realized how significant the answer would be to my understanding of that moment.
This verse brings me more comfort than maybe any other verse in the Bible. It lets me know that Jesus knows what it was like to suffer like that. Like me.
Something occurred to me while watching this and I feel like I have to share it. The WHY may have been meant for us to seek the answer. Why did the Father have to forsake the Son in this very crucial moment? Because Jesus had been taken on all our sins so we could be redeemed. The answer to the why is: to save mankind. That’s why. Maybe Jesus wanted to encourage us to find this incredible truth ourselves?
Our king, Our Lord, Our Savior was Forsaken so we would Not be Forsaken, He will Never leave us nor Forsake Us. All Praise, Honor & Glory to King Jesus

Like if I said to you in the beginning where would you look? The idea that father had turned away because Jesus had all that sin on him comes from a pagan belief of the sin eater. There had to be so much that we cant even wrap our heads around w/ Christ dying for the sin of the world, nailed to a tree, reconciling the world back to God. All of the Jews around the cross would have known the Psalms very well. If I was hanging on a cross and said in a loud voice "Amazing Grace how sweet the sound" every christian would know exactly what I was referring to.
Thank you Jesus, that you suffered in our stead. Lest no man forget what was done for Him, that the Son of God sacrificed Himself and put to death, so that we may live again. Thank you Lord!

Jesus was in excruciating pain, sometimes we wash over how much agony He suffered, the brutal beatings, mockery and a crown of thorns even before crucifixion. We scare can take in what Jesus endured.

The Bible is full of unanswered questions, that the only way we'll know is when we'll meet the father himself. Yes, it pains me so see so many paradoxes in the Bible and different explanations from different "theologists" but all I can do is trust in him.
As I have prayed and studied this very scripture, I asked the same question. Complete agreement with you pastor John. But I must add: Jesus did ask why, not did you, forsake me but why. Habakkuk 1:13 also gives an answer to this. If you read this scripture it should give more enlightenment. Remember Jesus was all God in the Spirit but was also all flesh as well.
Jesus was showing his humanity when He cried out “My God my God why have you forsaken me”. How quickly we can lose sight of the purpose in the agony of pain.
you are ALL missing the entire main point here, (even the video itself) & grossly over complicating this entire thing. I'm not saying this to be rude or to condescend in any way! I only wish to help people understand. I don't claim to be anyone of authority or a theological scholar but I understand this specific passage simply yet profoundly as it has been shown me by God. I claim no credit. I will try to explain: This "crying out" is NOT Jesus's words, he is quoting David from psalm 22, he is essentially "teaching" even up until his last breath! He is affirming his fulfilling of the prophesy in psalm 22 that David a thousand plus years prior had written through the Holy Spirit unwittingly. David himself is crying out to God & in later verses unwittingly he describes in distinct detail what could NOT have been know by him the future of Jesus Christ's crucifixion & death. "many bulls have surrounded me, strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me, they gape at me with their mouths, as a raging & roaring lion, I am poured out like water & my bones are out of joint, (Jesus's arm out of socket) for dogs have surrounded me, the assembly of the wicked has enclosed me, they pierced my hands & my feet (crucifixion) I can count all my bones (Jesus feels pain) they look & stare at me (spectacle of Christ on the cross) they divide my garments among them, & for my clothing they cast lots!.. none of this actually happened to David but in great accurate detail it DID happen to Jesus Christ! Christ is merely referencing Davids poetic & desperate psalm by directly quoting David, Jesus is essentially saying go back to the old book, read Davids words & see that I am fulfilling them!! He is NOT literally "crying out" he is giving even more proof of his divine sacrifice & how every last detail was fulfilled by him as prophesied. It's really very beautifully simple & gives us a reference to the actual account of his specific crucifixion. Because many were crucified in those times but none to the detail like Christ the messiahs crucifixion even down to when they casted lots (threw dice) to win his garments (clothing). To me this is simply Jesus giving undeniable proof he is the messiah! I can only suggest reading psalm 22 & then reading about Christ's crucifixion in the gospels. God bless you all!
Interesting?!? All of psalm 22 is ALL what Jesus went through. You said it yourself, everything written in it is what happened to Jesus and then you say that the cry he uttered was just referring back to scripture? Doesn’t make sense
@@bradygillie1869 Yeah it makes absolute sense. Re-read what I wrote. He was fullfulling prohetic scripture through the crucifixion prophesied by David in psalm 22 so he referenced the direct scripture on the cross by quoting David. I don't know what you're missing.
The one important thing that you missed it that if you read the whole psalm you find out that God did NOT forsake either David nor Jesus. V.24 "For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard."

The Old Testament is clear that when God forsakes, He hides His face from the one He forsakes, turns him over to his enemies, and burns in anger toward him. All of this happened to Jesus while He suffered for sinners on the cross. It was a real, objective forsakenness.
Don't! That's what the enemy wants you to do. Jesus took your sins and turned them into miracles. He didn't come here to condemn us, he came to save us. Don't hate yourself for your past or your mistakes because those things don't define you, God defines you. Love God for sending his son for us. Put God first above all. Live by Jesus's teachings, love your neighbors equally as yourself, and do not forget to love yourself greatly. God created you perfect in his vision. His love for you is greater than your sins. God asks a lot from us and it's hard to always obey because we're surrounded by the lies of the world. But God made every single one of us perfect, all we have to do his follow his commands. That's right, God has commanded us to serve and love him above all. God calls upon us to serve him with all our heart, body, and mind. Don't let self hatred destroy you... Because God wants you. Let the Father's love help you serve him.
If you love Jesus, you'd be a muslim. We Muslim pray just like Jesus did in Gethsemane. We muslim love Jesus as a prophet like Jesus claimed to be a prophet in the Bible. The Holy Quran has a Chapter Mary (Surah Maryam) in honor of Mary the mother of Jesus. Mary is mentioned more in the Holy Quran than in the New Testament.
I think he said this to show that even if you turn your back seconds from dying and assume God has left you alone, you’ll find your way to him by opening it up to him at the end. His last words were him surrendering to God right after.
Let's not forget this is a Psalm of feeling abandon but not being abandoned. Look even the people knew Jesus was quoting Psalm 22 and they quote vs 8 "He trusts in the LORD," they say, "let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him since he delights in him." See Matthew 27:43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'" And Matthew 27:47-49 When some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah." (48) Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. (49) The rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him." So what begins as a Psalm of abandonment ends with God essentially saying he will never leave or abandon the afflicted one. Jesus is the ultimate afflicted one! So why did Jesus say this? Luke 24:44 He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms."

Christ made 7 statements on the cross which fulfilled all the prophecies. That is why he said it is finished, meaning that the work, which his sent him to do, which he mentioned in his ministry had all been accomplished. "It is Finished" and then he said " Father into thy hands, I commend my spirit"
According with others theories about "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani", is that He wasn't complaining with the Father, He was saying this: My God, My God, for this I have been spared. According to what other theories said about aramaic translations, Jesus was saying that.
+Isabell R According to the concept, is like, "this was My destiny, for this I remain on the tree" but of course that's a theory that I haven't confirmed yet, the true is that the Word "Lama" if I'm not wrong, means "Why", like in asking concept, "Why have you spared me?" but some theories said that Lama in aramaic language is usually used as saying, not only asking.
David J Munoz, You and the Aramaic are wrong, and if you knew the Bible you would know it. Jesus wasn't spared, See Rom 8: 32.Plus, The Hebrew for "Forsaken", in Ps 22: 1. and the Greek for it Matt 27: 46.Means, To, "Forsake, Leave, Abandon", NOT Spared.
Dreamscape, "Forsaken", Both in the Hebrew, in Ps 22: 1 and the Greek, in Matt 27: 46, Means, "To Forsake, To Leave, To Abandon". Which means a life without God, Is Spiritual death, and as Jesus was without God at that time, it means He died Spiritually, as the Bible tells us.
Yes, Jesus already knew,He was quoting the psalm of David. The Father revealed to His mind that He was to say these words on the cross. These words were not for Him,but in our behalf. When we cry out forsaken without hope,He is our hope.Remember He had just spoken to two Angels in the garden pertaining to His death and resurrection, and the circumstances that would transpire..And when He said He came into the world for the purpose of sacrificing His life for the sins of the repentant that will believe in Him.
Oh, how we often forget the Jesus was also born an incarnate man with a most loving family that he was forsaking. In the garden of Gethsemane(Matt 26:36-44), while his disciples slept, he with an exceedingly sorrowful soul he prayed to the Father(3 times) asking for the "cup to pass from me." Cup in this scriptural sense means sufferings and afflictions. The "man" Jesus did not want to die, but understood it was the will of the Father. As a man this question was spoken: "My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me?" We, as mortal men will never fully comprehend the "unsearchable riches of our LORD JESUS CHRIST! Praise and give thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior daily! Amen? Comments?
Thanks Piper, I love you, though I'm non-Calvinist. It's great that you affirmed there was a real forsakeness . Some well meaning brothers in Christ imply that he's just play-acting so people can refer to the Psalm 22. But thanks for affirming this edifying truth.
when christ said why have you forsaken me at that moment he had taken on all of mans sin God the father looked away and jesus was speaking on our behalf asking the father for our forgiveness he never doubted who he was or is he was saying dont forsake mankind cause I paid the price ,so dont let this verse bother you let it reassure you
Aiming low shooting darts at those beneath you. But if you aim a little higher you can start to see who and what we wrestle against which is not flesh and blood but what....? EVERYTHING MUST COME DOWN IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST
I AM THE LIGHT Jesus Cried out, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me. These are the words of his dying body. On the First Day Genesis {1:1} In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. {1:3} And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. {1:4} And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness. If the light was Good, then Darkness must be Bad, was this the way God was letting us know the difference between Good and Evil, What was the Light God created on the first day, "God said" Let there be light. (By his Word) so his word became the light, can that light be found in the Bible, yes! The book of John tells us that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” that word was with God and was God, and that word was to be a light to all the world, no one knew who or what that light was intil Jesus declared "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." God's word was the light, and that light came to the Jewish people as their Messiah known as Jesus, he came as a savior to the descendants of Ishmael, he came as a savior to the World for those that believe in him

Jesus was not forsaken by Father as this ministry teaches. God did not have to forsake himself in order to appease His own Wrath towards us. But Father did allow His son as our sin offering and scapegoat to be condemned by the people on a pole/tree trunk so the penalty of our sin was satisfied in Jesus troubled soul, spirit and bodily scourging unto physical death. There is nothing in scripture that points to Jesus having to undergo spiritual separation from Father or Spirit to appease His wrath toward the elect. As this is not only impossible because the Godhead would cease to be along with creation; but the fact that Isaiah 53, Psalms 22 and John 17 point out that Father never hid his face from his Son nor had his cries/prayers fall on deaf ears. Every moment that Jesus spoke on the tree, in supplication and proclamation of prophetic events Father listened and was with Him. and when Jesus gave up His spirit by His own authority by Fathers command did Jesus' human soul and spirit reside 3 days and nights in paradise of which was the righteous spiritual compartment of old saints who died in Faith of the Messiah. This compartment in sheol was called Abrahams bosom located in the heart of the earth. Paradise now resides in the 3rd heaven. So even though Jesus became a curse to redeem the elect from under the curse of the law by becoming our substitute, sin offering, and scapegoat everything that was meant for us did Jesus face. all in His wounds, his crushing sorrows of the sins of the elect in soul and spirit and scourging by Gods severe chastisement that led to His piercing wounds and physical death on the tree. God's justice was satisfied by what His Son suffered physically(Psalm 53:5), in his soul(john12:27) and in spirit (John 13:21)to appease His own wrath toward the elect. Without turning away from His righteous Son, to say otherwise is saying that God Forsook Himself and that Jesus became an illegitimate sin offering to be no better than the animals that never took away sin. The passages that say Jesus "became sin for us" is wrong in translation as it can also mean becoming a sin offering of which aligns with Isaiah 53 and why the NIV made a side note of it. And in various areas actually translated it as such. Because to say that Jesus became sin is to say that he became sinful, thus being a defected sacrifice, Jesus is able to lay upon himself the penalty of our iniquities without becoming sin itself.
@Jeff Ourun It is us Children that hang up on God - because we are a race of Children seeded by God our Father. We have a generational "mistake" in perpetually motion forward in life thinking we are something we are not, we are merely pretending as Children.
@Jeff Ourun If your married ask you wife "If money was not an objection, what is the one toy you would want" She will tell you, your favorite toy- perhaps you talk about it in your sleep sometimes. Than ask her if Children play with toys. If you think your adult, than you believe in the belief your a species of grass, or that you believe and pretend in a man-made word for society purposes. Show me where adult is in the bible? Some will pretend in loving God, because there heart are hardened Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it? Ephesians 4:18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
@Jeff Ourun Yes when I died when I was 13 many years ago, I experienced God's fullest love which is unconditional - which can be expressed as love above and beyond the 5 senses - This flesh body we have is not designed for it on purpose by God. The severing away from God's love is traumatizing when you are sent back into your fleshly body. In order to survive on this side of the fence in our continuance for living we only have self love, when a dear one departs from us we can handle there departure from us - yes it's hard but we will adapt and adopt to it. If we had unconditional love that was attached to a dear one on this side of the fence and they passed, you might also die from it, the tearing ripping of your soul in half would be unimaginable to say the least of it.
I think it was Oswald Chambers, who had come to an interesting take on this. In that all through Jesus's ministry,He had always referred to God as His Father. Upon this event, and upon all that he bore. It was the Holy Spirit crying out to the Lord Jesus. My God,my God,why hast though forsaken me.
This is not a cry to God. Jesus uses the term "my Father " whenever He is talking to God the Faher. He never once used " my God" in talking to God. The other verse where Jesus used the phrase "my God" is in John 20:17 where He is simply stating a fact that He is going to see God the Father in heaven. Yes, Jesus was quoting Psalm 22. This is for the religious leaders who are very familiar with the scriptures, to show them that He was the fulfillment of this Psalm and that in a sense He is saying for the last time that He was indeed the prophesied Messiah. If you read Mat 27: 40-44, they were mocking Him. And so He gave them a definite proof, an undeniable proof that He was indeed the Messiah and the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets. But it requires reading the whole Psalm 22 for them to understand why He gave them this verse that He was indeed the Messiah they are waiting for.
This is absolute heresy. Psalm 22 states that His face was not hidden from Him. This argument dismantles a triune God. Jesus didn't "some how know that he would be accepted later" but Jesus IS GOD. You can not separate a triune God. He never uttered a word that His Father didn't tell Him to say. Propitiation. Not forsaken.
Jesus was in the flesh, just like any of us, which means that jesus had body, soul & spirit. He was subject to the same temptations as any of us is. It was the soul of jesus that said that in a moment of extreme agony and death. In addition to being an atonement for our sins, Jesus was an example for us to follow, he wanted to show us that to live a sinless life and even to express the ultimate love for each other (to lay our lives down for one another) was doable. (For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:15 NIV This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.1 John 3:16 NIV)
I've found the answer that liberated me from my doubt in the Aramaic translation Bible(the Lamsa Bible). You all should read it too. Seek and you will find. MGBU all
The moment Jesus said that was when God pulled his spirit from him and he felt the weight of all of his elects sin on his shoulders it was almost unbearable for a human body!
Im at a point of regret of my own existence. Jesus died for us because the father sent him. The father creator of all things created this life that’s total chaos. Some ppl live good some ppl live bad. Some ppl rich some ppl poor. Some have family some have nothing some has homes some has street corners. Some are healthy some are disabled. No way this is anything fair. At the end of the day no one cares. This life is like the justice system, sit in jail and wait for a jury to opinionate if your wrong or right. I hate earth 😢
Why did Jesus say, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? (My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?)", just before dying? 34 "And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" MARK 15:34 The Holy Spirit had to have left Jesus' body, for at that time it was filled with all the sins of the world and unclean. He (God the Holy Spirit) re-entered Jesus, when He was resurrected, without blemish and cleansed of all our sins. 1 "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" ISAIAH 11:1-2 2 "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 JOHN 2:2 This shows us that the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in an unclean place, therefore we need to be sanctified before receiving the Holy Spirit.
GID WAS IN Christ reconciling the world unto Himself..Jedus said the Father on me does the works ..when was the Father in him, ( always ) but when Jedus became sin then God had to depart, not only depart but had hatred to the one on the cross..In the Garden Jesus prayed and his sweat was as great drops of blood..Hebrews yells us he wept because he feared..Feared what.. The Spirit that always dwelt in him was to depart..not only that but was hated for what he had become, ( an enemy of God...Sin was God's enemy. and Jesus became sin..this is the 1st time he never felt the Father. ,but felt His wrath for us...We can't thank him enough...Why hast thou forsaken me ? in his heart it was loke saying FATHER, FATHER, Don't leave me...Thus merely my take..Feeling His absence for his 1st and only time ...What love He had for the Father..
3:35 If God is loving and benevolent, why would He have wraith? Isn't wraith one of the 7 deadly sins? Maybe the Gnostics were right. I try to understand this with an open mind but this is very confusing.
Many people have died and suffered more and continue to die and suffer up to this day. Meanwhile The three Gods are just watching. Many children starving and dying of hunger and disease. The Three Gods are just watching. So many different branches of Christianity and different versions of the Bible. The Three Gods remain completely silent. Lots of confusion.
The beginning of sin, the mystery of iniquity began in the garden of Eden, Genesis 4:8-15-24, and was judged in Jesus, in the garden of Gethsemane. (Actually it began with Lucifer, but since he would never receive forgiveness, God began to impute His righteosness as soon as man sinned, and made a way out for him by the blood of the sinless Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, but that lives, sitted on the throne of God in the heavenly places. Ezekiel 28:16, and promptly judged verses 17-19, John 16:11, while man got a 1000 years deferred punishment, which was paid for by the sinless blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, and the complete man, on the cross of Calvary. ) This sin couldn't readily be judged simply because there was no preceding law about being one's brother's keeper that was broken. (Thus, the whole system was destroyed by the flood, and the laws started with that Genesis 9:5-6, until finally judged and finished on the cross John 19:30) In verse 15, a precedent was laid down for the time it would take to judge sin, 70x7 or 490 years. That generation was wiped out by the flood, but the precept remained: sin shall be avenged seventy and seven fold. (Matthew 18:21-23). This was the standard by which Israel also judged, as they also had to spend 70 sabbath years ( or 70x7= 490 years), in exile, outside of the promised land. When it was the 69th week year Daniel prayed to God, and fasted to remind Him of the imminent due date of the return of God's people to their promised land; but the sin of the Amorite was not yet full, Genesis 15:16, also, Israel was still in rebellion towards God, and the land cannot sustain rebellion- it was Holy! So, the Messiah had to come and make a way for grace and justification, and righteousness of God to be imputed, so Israel can get back their monarchy, through the house of David, and back to the kingdom of God, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, as the Son of God, and the Son of man -the promised Son of David, the king of Israel to order His Kingdom Isaiah 9:6; who would ascend His throne as God had promised him. Romans 1:3; Acts 2:30, and come to bring them back to God, Jeremiah 16:16a; Luke 19:10; Matthew 10:5. Instead, they rejected and killed Him. Thus, from then onwards, the way to God was opened to whosoever would come to Him by grace through the shedding of His blood, by grace through faith in His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection. They were given the adoption of sons and daughters into the kingdom, which hitherto, they were not permitted Ephesians 2:13; John 1:11-14, becoming heirs and joint heirs of God and the Abrahamic covenanted promises an blessing (Genesis 25:6- the representatives of his other children by Hagar and Keturah, the Kings of the East, could now access and partake of the blessing, and they showed their allegiance and faith, by worshipping Jesus Christ, as a Child!) Jesus Christ gave His life for all who would simply believe in Him as Lord and Savior, in order to keep them from the wrath of God that will be unleashed upon the Amorite, until the end. Isaiah 63:18; Daniel 8:13; Zechariah 12:3; Luke 21:24; Revelation 11:2. And eventually, they will be rescued at the second coming of Christ Luke 21:13; Zechariah 14. He finished the work of salvation of the soul of man John 19:30 and this continues the "acceptable year of the Lord" which began as He took the sealed book of Daniel, 12:4, from God, as the Lamb of God, who alone is Worthy, and opened the seals Revelation 5, and fulfilled the first of the three part of Isaiah 61:2, in Luke 4:16-21, and He SHUT it again. This will run through this dispensation of preaching of the gospel of grace, (which ended the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom, which ended with the stoning of Stephen) by faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and He will return to gather His saints from the world, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15; and present them faultless before the presence of God the Father, with exceeding joy, Jude 24; with victory over sin, devil, death, hell and eternal damnation in the lake of fire and brimstone Isaiah 66:24. The second dispensation is nearly upon us, at this time Isaiah 63:4, which will usher in the tribulation period when the 70th and last year will be ushered in to finish all transgressions! Daniel 9:24. ( As the Messiah has become the sacrifice for sin, and was dead, buried and rose again from the dead! His shed blood sprinkled on the heavenly mercy seat for propitiation for sins for all who would go to God by and through Him, simply by faith! Ephesians 2:8). Then, the Lord will return the second time, complete with His body, as a new Creature resting upon the Mount of Olives Zechariah 14, to make a way of escape for the remnants of Israel Matthew 24:31. Then the battle of armageddon will ensue, and it will end up in total obliteration of this earth. Isaiah 24; Joel chapters 2 and 3, Jeremiah chapters 1-11...; 1 Peter 3 etc. This is the fullness and end, and judgment of the sin of the Amorite! Matthew 18:21-22; Psalm 75:8; 73:3-17. Then the new heaven and earth will be created after the conclusion of the millennium- to mark the expiration date of sin and death, like it was back in Eden. Now man will live out the 1000 year curse of death Isaiah 65, (Genesis 5). Then history will repeat itself when everything reaches full circle- the serpent will be released once again, Revelation 20:1-6, to tempt man as he did with Adam and Eve, those who follow him will get totally judged and cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, together with hell, death, the antichrist, false prophets and all whose portion is with them Isaiah 66:24. Revelation chapters 19-22. God has perfected the end from the beginning. But as it is written-"My people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge " Hosea 4:6, so, "With all thine getting, get understanding " Proverbs 4:7; Luke 24:45. Be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit, and abide in the fold, John 10, until He returns as promised, to take up His purchased possession! John 14:26; Ephesians chapters 1-2! Then He will set up His kingdom! Isaiah 9:6! Be encouraged!
Pastor John, you are amazing the way you explain the scriptures, when you were answering the young woman's guestion about why Jesus cried out, to his father about forsakeing him, it.almost sounded like you were there feeling what Jesus was going through, I mean Wow, I love it~♥~You are gifted some how to bring scriptures to life, like you can feel as though you were the person. I want to thank you for what ever it is it is Captavating how you keep the interest so alive I can remember so easily everything you say, that is amazing. Thank you so much!,,I love listening to you teach.
This might help: "187:5.2 (2010.3) Shortly after one o’clock, amidst the increasing darkness of the fierce sandstorm, Jesus began to fail in human consciousness. His last words of mercy, forgiveness, and admonition had been spoken. His last wish - concerning the care of his mother - had been expressed. During this hour of approaching death the human mind of Jesus resorted to the repetition of many passages in the Hebrew scriptures, particularly the Psalms. The last conscious thought of the human Jesus was concerned with the repetition in his mind of a portion of the Book of Psalms now known as the twentieth, twenty-first, and twenty-second Psalms. While his lips would often move, he was too weak to utter the words as these passages, which he so well knew by heart, would pass through his mind. Only a few times did those standing by catch some utterance, such as, “I know the Lord will save his anointed,” “Your hand shall find out all my enemies,” and “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Jesus did not for one moment entertain the slightest doubt that he had lived in accordance with the Father’s will; and he never doubted that he was now laying down his life in the flesh in accordance with his Father’s will. He did not feel that the Father had forsaken him; he was merely reciting in his vanishing consciousness many Scriptures, among them this twenty-second Psalm, which begins with “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” And this happened to be one of the three passages which were spoken with sufficient clearness to be heard by those standing by." truthbook.com/urantia-book-viewer/187-The-Crucifixion/#187_5
"My God, My God for this am I spared, my destiny!" You should know that not everything "translated" in scripture is good..nor even sensible at times. Jesus primarily spoke Aramaic among all languages because He knew ALL men..ie "mankind"...So as a Christian you don't just swallow every rendition of scripture. .You look in relation to ALL scripture. Easy REASONS Why you can know Jesus NEVER EVER said: "My God ,Why have you forsaken me??!" 1- Jesus spoke at length about his coming death and that 'hour' long before the time. 2- “Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I AM NOT ALONE, because the Father IS WITH Me." Jesus regarding his crucifixion. If He already just like ALWAYS said " I and the Father are One" and here unequivocally saying even in death of the body.."The Father is with Me"..can Jesus then suddenly contradict his entire ministry to ask or say " Am I forsaken? " or " My God you have forsaken me" ? or anything to that effect?..As some translations and commentators mention. 3- When the hour came for them to take Jesus, his companion sliced off the priests servant's ear...Jesus said: Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? Now..If you remotely imagine what just one warrior angel can do...what can 12 legions do?? No need to know exactly. .Just a legion is LOTS...The point however is that Jesus asked no defense. He went WILLINGLY. 4- Jesus said " No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and AUTHORITY TO TAKE IT UP AGAIN. This charge I have received from My Father.” So..Jesus already said He has FULL AUTHORITY over LIFE AND DEATH. He raised other dead...and said He will RAISE HIMSELF. He wasn't somewhere wallowing in the grave..pitiful.. 'forsaken'..waiting to be resurrected. 5- "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am." Jesus already spoke the entirety of scripture beforehand. Can someone "forsaken" Tell you they're going to heaven and coming back? 6- Psalm 16.10 "For YOU WILL NOT ABANDON my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay." That is written long before Jesus appeared in flesh. So if it says the Father will NOT ABANDON Jesus..how can Jesus then mention remotely being 'forsaken'? Jesus knows ALL scripture it being He IS THE WORD. 7- In a nutshell God doesn't contradict Himself. .only stupid people can THINK that happens. So..when dealing with the multiple- issue, phenomenally stupid Muslim. .then you also have to know YOUR OWN scriptures well, because all they have is stolen corruptions of numerous snippets. There have been men over the age corrupting scripture too..So the Muslim is correct in mention of that..but his phenomenally stupid mind has a BIG problem understanding what that is about. He thinks it's a sword for him to mention things he himself knows nothing about...but only kills himself with it. " How can you say, ’We are wise, and the law of the YHWH is with us?’ But in fact, the LYING PEN of the SCRIBES has produced a DECEPTION." It's mentioned in Jeremiah...so..that is referring to their INTERPRETATION that they wrote about the LAW then..which is why Jesus crushed their heads on Sabbath understanding etc. ( Incidentally there are still those today trying to "keep Sabbath Law"..understanding nothing of what Jesus said ) It goes right up to the apostles mentions : "For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have "secretly slipped in among you." They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord." It goes on about heretical texts etc slipped in among true scripture. If you don't understand the very basics , you'll see THOUSANDS gone off huge cliffs with some fake Dead Sea scrolls etc. Some commentators say "Well Jesus was just repeating a psalm" but if you consider everything Jesus said...and considering how all the scriptures were taught..I don't think Jesus simply "repeated a psalm". And MANY actually try to use the Eli verse AGAINST the full deity of God too. Some like to say "Jesus was just a prophet" and every other relegatory attempt. Many 'translations' also come from judaic sources because they love LAUDING hebrew..forgetting that God Himself gave ALL LANGUAGES for REASONS. Although God did confuse the languages. .GOD HIMSELF gave these and in them is still understanding of the WORD throughout the nations.
@@William51115 No..I'm saying that since not even those closeby heard exactly what Jesus said, and although Jesus quoting a psalm seems plausible enough. .When considering every other thing Jesus mentioned about him not being 'alone' which He at length stated as FACT...Then I don't think "forsaken" is any good translation...or do you think Jesus was 'forsaken' really at any miniscule time? Hades itself has keys that are held by Jesus...and scripture plainly tells you Death could not hold Him. If Jesus continually said "I and the Father are One"...Do you really think they were somehow not 'One' suddenly?..For Jesus to be forsaken, one must then contend He was without the Father. So..might you think a translation might not be exactly right...in the light of the other things Jesus said? In my knowledge that "In Jesus resides the FULL DEITY of the Godhead" , then because of the word 'forsaken' used in a translation , should I now believe that was somehow broken when that is impossible? So..Just like the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus visibly merely for the purpose of audiovisual evidence for all there, does not mean the Holy Spirit was absent from Jesus before the act of baptism. The scripture tells you John the Baptist was also filled with the Holy Spirit from before his birth..and we do know that God did numerous things which are totally unnecessary except for a demonstration of revelation of Himself to man..in precepts and concepts to assist man in comprehension aspects. Like..do you really think God needed to ask Adam if he ate?...or.. 'I shall go into the cities to see and if what is said is true then I will know" regarding Sodom and Gomorrah? God doesn't need to go anywhere to see or know anything at all. Or..even with Jesus...He told the woman all about herself. ..He saw the man under the fig tree etc and told him...so do you really think Jesus had to ask "Who touched me?" ...no...All these things are merely for reasons of human comprehension and understanding of actions..So, perhaps you get what I mention. .or perhaps not.
Then who died for your sins you denying the very son of God's divinity the one who set us free what do you think of the cross and salvation explain if u may I'll wait..
Maybe you are involved in new age practices like meditation, "spirituality", tarrot cards, magic Etc? Things like that perhaps? They cause seperation from God. If yes to any of those maybe check out Steve bancaras. As always though, turn to Jesus, he loves you.
I have heard for many years this is an incorrect translation that it properly translated is Jesus asking God why are you sparing me when I am ready to die. This is in the New Aramaic Translation and in the Lamsa translations. Seems to make more sense to me? Jesus after hanging there for many hours cries out to the Father that He is ready to go and we see He promptly gives up the ghost.
"My God, My God, for this I am spared'" according to Lamsa translation. I agree with you. As if the Father left him and as if Jesus didnt know what was going on when He had foretold everyone multiple times then says 'FINISHED'. I dont care about the hebrew and greek bible saying 'forsaken' because he spoke in Aramaic and thats the Bible im more interested in.m
God is omniscient. He knows everything. He prepared a body for His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to come and feel in the flesh, all what man is going through, while He Himself remains sinless, meaning, He doesn't indulge in sin. So, He eventually was condemned as a sinner- study Mark 14:51, the story of the naked young man. That was the reason Jesus's sweat were like drops of blood, when He got to the last sin He had to deal with that would condemn Him to shame, torture and consequently, a cursed death on the cross- simply because He was set up in the middle of the night, as He prayed, in the garden of Gethsemane, to be doing stuff the laws condemned with penalty of death, by stoning, but was cranked up to become dead on the cross. Judas kissed him, not a peck in the cheek but a full blown kiss, in order to set him up, but he didn't know his act was just a distraction, the people that hired him, already prepared a worse scenario- using the young guy that fled into the night naked. Jesus Christ refused to tattle on him, nor did he ask them to go get him to speak for him, because He came for the very reason, to die for the undeserved, who, if and when they come to this realization, would immediately repent and accept the cleansing power of the blood that bought them. He even became their high Priest, who is touched by the feeling of their infirmity, understanding where they come from, but hoping they will come to Him and cast it all on Him, and take His Rest! He already made that call!!! Will you answer, will you imagine what they must have done to him, with such a charge, in that day and age? All just to make atonement for every sin conceivable, including what you're struggling with at this moment! Give it all to Him! Being mad at the preacher will not assuage your guilt and self- condemnation, and self torture and self hatred and self judgment. He already did it all- for YOU!!! Which of these religious leaders who abbet them ever promised to pray to God for them. How can the blind lead the blind? Anyone that has encountered God by the preaching of the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and still remain unconcerned and unrepentant, has already forfeited his mercy, and grace that bought him from the devil, who has the power of sickness, afflictions, terror, oppression, death and the grave. No escaping him. Let the love of God for you, in Christ Jesus, constrain you to listen, receive, accept, confess, believe and abide in His love, justification from all your sins, past, present and future, And live the new life purchased by the shedding of His blood, and by imputting God's righteousness that declared you "faultless, blameless ", before the presence of God, with whom you have to give an account, whether you like it or not! No excuses on that day, for God will definitely be Just and Righteous when He metes out judgment, and all mouths will be quiet!
charlotte Romans 8:3 - For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh. The word condemned is katakrino - which is the strongest word for condemn you can find. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 says “All this is from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ. Paul understood that God was in Christ the whole time. The cross was God becoming one of us, taking the sin upon Himself and condemning that sin in His own flesh.
My first thought: 1 of the texts: Gospel of John 1:29 within the context of the whole Bible, thus including the extreme seriousness of sin. (Video's of Living Waters might explain that last part a bit) Hope my '2 cents' are helpful in some way. May God bless you!
Matthew 27:38 He was crucified among thieves. Matthew 27:45-46 and Mark 15:33 there was a darkness in the day from the sixth hour or (noon) to 9th hour is 3pm in jewish time…. The darkness is judgment. John 8:12 jesus is the light of the world fading. WHEN JESUS PROCLAIMED THIS PSALM 22 THE PAIN AND CONDEMNATION STOPPED at the ninth hour is 3pm AS THE FATHER HEARD THE SONS PRAYER AND THE DARKNESS STOPPED. The father stopped the judgment as soon as the son requested it. It is finished John 19:30 completion of deliverance of redemption of humans. Matthew 27:50 he yielded his spirit. ▪︎This is not a cry of abandonment but more of a request....how much longer until I am relieved from this and you deliver me from this judgment….since jesus drank the cup of judgment………..like in matthew 26:39 let this cup pass from me never the less your will be done. Then in Matthew 27:50 he yielded his spirit………..luke 23:46 into your hands I commit my spirit…. ending the disconnect of men and God matthew 27:51 veil torn like in hebrews 4:16, Hebrews 9:3, Hebrews 10:20 we have a high priest in jesus as Jesus is now our mediator to God 1 timothy 2:5. ■This is why in psalm 22:23-24 it says: when he cried out (jesus) he heard (god the father). This is why darkness ended in Matthew 27:46. The father hears continually to jesus.... sample John 11:41-42.
Felipe Santell it was originally written by David but it was prophetic about the messiah and how his death would bring about happiness to mankind. Jesus saying verse 1 was a way to let the unlookers now he was fulfilling that prophecy. It’s very similiar to how he read from Isaiah and after reading a portion told the unlookers today the scripture has been fulfilled.
although what u said is true...for anyone to attempt to answer this question...is disgusting...for the Lord was speaking to His father and His creator...the arrogance that it takes for a human or even a child of God to attempt to answer this question is mind blowing and very grieving to the Holy spirit...for it is and was a private conversation between the Lord and God...if ur not them..how could u know? u can't ur only speculating and filling ur own heads and hearts with pride to think that u can even begin to understand and answer a question that YOU WASN'T ASKED....
The Bible is mind blowing and this is one of many secrets in the scripture. can you imagine what pain Jesus encounter in that moment of absorbing all the sins on earth so we can be free in his sacrifice. No we can't imagine because is beyond human brain. I love you Jesus Amen.
Dreamscape nothing insults the truth more than jesus
This is what was in store for us but He took our death upon Himself. Praise Jesus for those in Christ are now alive!!
Amein, Yeshua has taken our burdens for us.
Brother how can God fell pain. I have start to question Christianity. I am not going to lie Islam hear more locally.
Jesus is so beautiful.... to be in such prolonged agony for us. I can't comprehend it. PRAISE YOU JESUS CHRIST!!!! Jesus loves you all!!
AMEN!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Amen
You cant comprehend because its bullshit irs not true
Jesus was repeating psalm 22. Then he said its done. (Salvation is complete)
Exactly!
Jesus was doing a loving thing to remind those around him of Psalm 22. This was are foretold in the scriptures. He was pointing out to them that he was the chosen one.
This is what was in store for us but He took our death upon Himself. Praise Jesus for those in Christ are now alive!!🙌💓✝️
Interestingly in Genesis it's the same type of knowing and asking:
"Where are you?"
"Did you eat of the tree?"
"Who told you that you were naked?"

KLAY the Cartoonist God and Man my friend who think have more wisdom . It s like Father and kid , you are trying to show they do something bad
Thank you Lord Jesus for the excruciating suffering dying for our sins...there is no way we can ever repay what Lord Jesus had done for us.
So grateful for dying for our sins brings me to tears just knowing what you have endure.
Thank you for your sacrifice King Jesus...
Amen
This verse brings me more comfort than maybe any other verse in the Bible. It lets me know that Jesus knows what it was like to suffer like that. Like me.
Something occurred to me while watching this and I feel like I have to share it. The WHY may have been meant for us to seek the answer. Why did the Father have to forsake the Son in this very crucial moment? Because Jesus had been taken on all our sins so we could be redeemed. The answer to the why is: to save mankind. That’s why. Maybe Jesus wanted to encourage us to find this incredible truth ourselves?
Punishment was heavy, and Jesus suffered a disconnection from God for certain amount of time. But he believed in good ending.
Very practical and reasonable explanation. Praise our Lord and his glorious gospel.
This explanation actually makes more sense than every other explanation I've heard
Our sins-Obliterator
Our failures-Absorber
The Heavenly Bread and Water...
Our king, Our Lord, Our Savior was Forsaken so we would Not be Forsaken, He will Never leave us nor Forsake Us. All Praise, Honor & Glory to King Jesus
No...jesus was not forsaken not damned.
@@jesussavedrjm6818 I did not say He was damned nor believe such a heretical thing. He said in Psalm 22 Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani!! MY GOD MY GOD, Why have you forsaken Me !! Why are You so far from saving Me. So there very well could have been a brief time when the Father was so far from Him, Jesus felt abandoned, but He also was fulfilling scripture & obviously knew it better than any, so He was also fulfilling holy scripture, prophecy. Please though, dont just say Im wrong but explain your reason
@@J-PLeigh8409 read the rest of it it literally says that the father had not turned away from him that he is not scorn The Afflicted one Jesus versus sitting there whimpering he was declaring victory he was literally telling those Pharisees God is with me and my name will be proclaimed to Generations not yet born
@@J-PLeigh8409 keep in mind that we're no chapters or verses in the scriptures in Jesus's day way that you would tell somebody where to look would be by quoting the first line of a section. Like if I said to you in the beginning where would you look?
The idea that father had turned away because Jesus had all that sin on him comes from a pagan belief of the sin eater. Jesus was perfect spotless blameless unto death. If there was any sin on him at the moment of death then it would not be the perfect sacrifice your sin is still your own Jesus only took your punishment he did not take your sin it's not the Senate that is nailed to the cross it is the punishment that goes along with the sin. Says he who had no sin became sin it is not saying that he is sin it's saying he became the display of punishment for sin the demonstration of Wrath on sin
@@jesussavedrjm6818 the Psalm to me, seems to go through the story of His crucifixion but I also agree w/ you as it all happened but I never said was damned, & also the fulfilling of scripture is so prevalent, also did He not take our sin? It is finished after forsaken reference, & the chastisment of our peace was upon Him, per Isaiah 53. There had to be so much that we cant even wrap our heads around w/ Christ dying for the sin of the world, nailed to a tree, reconciling the world back to God. As far as telling the Pharisees, He already did, Mat 26:64 Jesus said to him(Caiaphas), you have said it yourself, nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the Right Hand of Power, & coming in The Clouds of Heaven. Which is the Daniel reference, along w/ coming judgement language on Jerusalem, when the Son of Man was presented before the Ancient of Days, & they all knew what Jesus was saying hence the yelling "blasphemy" tearing clothes & beating Him. On the way to crucifixion He said, daughters of Jerusalem dont cry for Me, weep for yourselves & your children
All of the Jews around the cross would have known the Psalms very well.
If I was hanging on a cross and said in a loud voice "Amazing Grace how sweet the sound" every christian would know exactly what I was referring to.
They were blinded by their own righteousness and failed to see the truth. Glory to God for the grace he bestowed on us. Hallelujah

Jesus was in excruciating pain, sometimes we wash over how much agony He suffered, the brutal beatings, mockery and a crown of thorns even before crucifixion. We scare can take in what Jesus endured.

Isaiah 53:5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him.
Psalm 22 always makes me cry. Guilt, love, amazement, thankfulness. Always.
Keep in mind that the bible is also written by a observational perspective. For me it strengthens my relationship with god because i realize how smarter than all off us he is and he has a reason for everything, even the way we interpret things.
🙏THANK YOU FOR THE BLESSED MRESSAGE🙏
Glad to hear Pslam 22 being discussed because Jesus is pointing to Psalm 22 on the cross...might be important to study the Psalm.
Ok lol I thought u we're about to say Jesus isn't God or something
Thank you very much for your help! Very clear
Lol I always wonder how John the baptist, Paul, Daniel, Salomon, and job think. But listening to u give me a glimpse of the past. I think u r one of the wisest man living on earth now pastor John.

The Old Testament is clear that when God forsakes, He hides His face from the one He forsakes, turns him over to his enemies, and burns in anger toward him. All of this happened to Jesus while He suffered for sinners on the cross. It was a real, objective forsakenness.
i hate that i put sin on Christ
@@Model3GenerativeANdroid Where did Jesus by his own words say he was a prophet?
Alita Battle Angel Jesus came to fulfill the prophesies of the Old Testament.
That makes no sense don't blame your self. How would you put sin on him when you were not alive?
Amen

Christ made 7 statements on the cross which fulfilled all the prophecies. That is why he said it is finished, meaning that the work, which his sent him to do, which he mentioned in his ministry had all been accomplished. "It is Finished" and then he said " Father into thy hands, I commend my spirit"

According with others theories about "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani", is that He wasn't complaining with the Father, He was saying this: My God, My God, for this I have been spared. According to what other theories said about aramaic translations, Jesus was saying that.
David Muñoz and what exactly is meant by spared 🤔
+Isabell R According to the concept, is like, "this was My destiny, for this I remain on the tree" but of course that's a theory that I haven't confirmed yet, the true is that the Word "Lama" if I'm not wrong, means "Why", like in asking concept, "Why have you spared me?" but some theories said that Lama in aramaic language is usually used as saying, not only asking.
David J Munoz, You and the Aramaic are wrong, and if you knew the Bible you would know it. Jesus wasn't spared, See Rom 8: 32.Plus, The Hebrew for "Forsaken", in Ps 22: 1. and the Greek for it Matt 27: 46.Means, To, "Forsake, Leave, Abandon", NOT Spared.
it means that He lived for that moment to happen ! his Life was a mission leading to this moment of sacrifice in the name of our salvation and God
God is the ultimate poet.
Amen, My Lord.
As a man this question was spoken: "My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me?"
We, as mortal men will never fully comprehend the "unsearchable riches of our LORD JESUS CHRIST! Praise and give thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior daily! Amen? Comments?
in Aramaic Jesus said My Lord My Lord for this You have kept me or for this I have been kept

Awesome brother
Thanks Piper, I love you, though I'm non-Calvinist. It's great that you affirmed there was a real forsakeness . Some well meaning brothers in Christ imply that he's just play-acting so people can refer to the Psalm 22. But thanks for affirming this edifying truth.
Why would it be play acting? Pretty condescending and disingenuous to say this.
when christ said why have you forsaken me at that moment he had taken on all of mans sin God the father looked away and jesus was speaking on our behalf asking the father for our forgiveness he never doubted who he was or is he was saying dont forsake mankind cause I paid the price ,so dont let this verse bother you let it reassure you

I AM THE LIGHT
Jesus Cried out, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me. These are the words of his dying body.
On the First Day
Genesis {1:1} In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
{1:3} And God said, Let there be light: and there was
light. {1:4} And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and
God divided the light from the darkness.
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
God's word was the light, and that light came to the Jewish people as their Messiah known as Jesus, he came as a savior to the descendants of Ishmael, he came as a savior to the World for those that believe in him

I meditated for 14 days when I receive a bone I ask the meditation and it cried and said you are forsaken.then illness overcame
Jesus might have been speaking to mankind, the Children of the earth.
@Jeff Ourun Yes Our love for God must always come first! Just want to bless you in God's love and the love of Jesus in the walk of your life amen.
Jesus was broken for us😱
I think it was Oswald Chambers, who had come to an interesting take on this.

34 "And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" MARK 15:34
The Holy Spirit had to have left Jesus' body, for at that time it was filled with all the sins of the world and unclean. He (God the Holy Spirit) re-entered Jesus, when He was resurrected, without blemish and cleansed of all our sins.
1 "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" ISAIAH 11:1-2
2 "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 JOHN 2:2
This shows us that the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in an unclean place, therefore we need to be sanctified before receiving the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 28:16, and promptly judged verses 17-19, John 16:11, while man got a 1000 years deferred punishment, which was paid for by the sinless blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, and the complete man, on the cross of Calvary. )
This sin couldn't readily be judged simply because there was no preceding law about being one's brother's keeper that was broken. (Thus, the whole system was destroyed by the flood, and the laws started with that Genesis 9:5-6, until finally judged and finished on the cross John 19:30)
In verse 15, a precedent was laid down for the time it would take to judge sin, 70x7 or 490 years.
They were given the adoption of sons and daughters into the kingdom, which hitherto, they were not permitted Ephesians 2:13; John 1:11-14, becoming heirs and joint heirs of God and the Abrahamic covenanted promises an blessing (Genesis 25:6- the representatives of his other children by Hagar and Keturah, the Kings of the East, could now access and partake of the blessing, and they showed their allegiance and faith, by worshipping Jesus Christ, as a Child!)
Jesus Christ gave His life for all who would simply believe in Him as Lord and Savior, in order to keep them from the wrath of God that will be unleashed upon the Amorite, until the end.
Psalm 22 is what Jesus is referring to read the entire Psalm

Repent.
This might help:
"187:5.2 (2010.3) Shortly after one o’clock, amidst the increasing darkness of the fierce sandstorm, Jesus began to fail in human consciousness. He did not feel that the Father had forsaken him; he was merely reciting in his vanishing consciousness many Scriptures, among them this twenty-second Psalm, which begins with “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” And this happened to be one of the three passages which were spoken with sufficient clearness to be heard by those standing by."

"My God, My God for this am I spared, my destiny!"
You should know that not everything "translated" in scripture is good..nor even sensible at times. Jesus primarily spoke Aramaic among all languages because He knew ALL men..ie "mankind"...So as a Christian you don't just swallow every rendition of scripture. .You look in relation to ALL scripture.
Easy REASONS Why you can know Jesus NEVER EVER said: "My God ,Why have you forsaken me??!"
1- Jesus spoke at length about his coming death and that 'hour' long before the time.
2- “Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I AM NOT ALONE, because the Father IS WITH Me."
Jesus regarding his crucifixion.
3- When the hour came for them to take Jesus, his companion sliced off the priests servant's ear...Jesus said:
Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
Now..If you remotely imagine what just one warrior angel can do...what can 12 legions do?? No need to know exactly. .Just a legion is LOTS...The point however is that Jesus asked no defense. He went WILLINGLY.
4- Jesus said " No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and AUTHORITY TO TAKE IT UP AGAIN. This charge I have received from My Father.”
So..Jesus already said He has FULL AUTHORITY over LIFE AND DEATH. He raised other dead...and said He will RAISE HIMSELF. He wasn't somewhere wallowing in the grave..pitiful.. 'forsaken'..waiting to be resurrected.
5- "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am."
Jesus already spoke the entirety of scripture beforehand. Can someone "forsaken" Tell you they're going to heaven and coming back?
6- Psalm 16.10 "For YOU WILL NOT ABANDON my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay."
That is written long before Jesus appeared in flesh.
" How can you say, ’We are wise, and the law of the YHWH is with us?’ But in fact, the LYING PEN of the SCRIBES has produced a DECEPTION."
It's mentioned in Jeremiah...so..that is referring to their INTERPRETATION that they wrote about the LAW then..which is why Jesus crushed their heads on Sabbath understanding etc. ( Incidentally there are still those today trying to "keep Sabbath Law"..understanding nothing of what Jesus said )
It goes right up to the apostles mentions :
"For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have "secretly slipped in among you." They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
It goes on about heretical texts etc slipped in among true scripture.
Although God did confuse the languages. .GOD HIMSELF gave these and in them is still understanding of the WORD throughout the nations.
so your saying that the scripture is wrong
@@nevig6557 WOW i'm sorry I asked. but if you say its lost in translation then isn't it wrong. Please no more than a few sentences PLEASE
@@William51115 er..No. You seem to come from the 'very low literacy' rated US, so it's very likely just lost in understanding to you.
If the bible says I will not leave you nor forsake you then why did God forsake Jesus, does this make the Bible a liar?
Where are bad dreams and visions come from?iam asking prayers.
Heresy
Jesus was not forsaken....
If Jesus is God, why is he calling upon God in desperation and distress like how a human would call upon God?
Because trinity is man made catholic doctrine
Then who died for your sins you denying the very son of God's divinity the one who set us free what do you think of the cross and salvation explain if u may I'll wait..
And king david also pleas his guilt and sorrows for loosing his faith in god
Why do I feel forsaken?
@@megan1445 why was he spared if he died on the cross how does that make sense
Can you show where in Scripture that God poured out His wrath on Jesus
He said that God's wrath is abandonment.
possibly but where is that in scripture as well???
charlotte Romans 8:3 - For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh.
(Video's of Living Waters might explain that last part a bit)
Hope my '2 cents' are helpful in some way.
May God bless you!
I like the way you put your heart a compassion into Explaining answer s of these serious question s are you a Phropet ???
When your god Jesus couldn't help himself how he can help you.
And what was the psalm 22 about then?
