can i use cotton or linen silk or hemp and if you hand spin your yarn in fingering weight or sport will it work it seams most videos use wool or most of the animal hair think more summer and witch of the looms by hazel would be good for finer yarn i was thinking the multi or quilt my reason for this i cant afford a bigger loom to me this or a frame loom would work my ? in all this is if you were a nomadic people you would not be caring around a huge loom kinda makes me think knitting or crochet my have been first or small looms back strap loom any info would be appreciated
Hi, Hazel. Have you ever woven like this with yarns really fine like lace weight? Have you ever worked with "Cashwool". This yarn is the same thickness as sewing thread. This yarn comes on a cone, and manufactured in Italy. The thickness is 2/48 Count. I believe it's 50/50 Cashmere and Wool I got from a friend of mine.You put your loops over a nail. My yarn is so thin, I may have to switch my loops over twice as much to get a more closed weave. Plus I'm thinking about using you multi loom.
