My Remington 511 ScoreMaster is my most accurate 22. I have a 10-22 I built with a TacSol fluted barrel that is supposed to be super accurate. Add in the $280 Volzquartzen trigger pack and it still doesn’t come close to that old 24 inch, 60+ year old bolt action 511. I just got a Cabela’s gift card for Christmas. I bought the Savage MarkII VFSR with that big ol bolt throw handle. Savage gave me a mail-in $25 rebate. My Delaware Cabela’s here next to me in Cecil County MD didn’t have it in stock, so I’m waiting for it to get shipped to my local store from some Cabela’s in North central PA. I ordered it online Christmas evening and still haven’t heard of its whereabouts. I hope it’s a good squirrel gun, because I’ve been trying to not shoot my old 511. If I wear it out, it’s irreplaceable. I like your S&W .22 pistol. All I have for .22 pistols is a Ruger Mark3 with the heavier slab sided barrel. I had a nice Ruger Single Six, but my brother ended up with it somehow after my dear dad passed away. Again, thanks for your backyard videos. I only have 3 acres, so I have to be careful and shoot only at my targets in front of a berm I put in place after I put my driveway in, I had fill dirt left over that worked out nice in one spot. Have a good evening, and thanks again for posting this video. It’s been raining here all day. I like your videos.
Another great video. Thanks for all the great videos this year. I'm looking forward to next year's content. I've been wanting one of those Remington 581 since I first saw it in your videos. Best wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
Another great video to finish the year with, thanks for your time, knowledge and experience you share with us ,always fun ,entertaining and educational with the information you share, job well done ,have a great and prosperous New Year
Back in the summer one of my local gun shops had this on sale for $3.99 a box, and I bought a couple boxes...tried it out, and kept buying a couple boxes until we now have 600 rounds of this ammo on hand...it has been very good for us, accurate and consistent...you are correct that it seems a fraction louder than the other sv ammo we have on hand, even louder than the Norma we have...I will keep an eye out for this ammo, and even if the shop goes up to $4.99 I'll buy, I consider that an okay price for surprisingly good ammo...
Thanks for showing the cci standard I shot some in the walther i laughed then i about fell out the seat shot five sighters at 50yr last three same hole well all I will say is unreal it loves it and it dont cost 20$ a box. shot 50 more in the walther kkm score was dead even with 20$ box. thanks for teaching and old dog
Good morning Tom, Great review of the Sellier & Bellot's CLUB .22lr ammunition. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'll be looking for some Sellier & Bellot's CLUB .22lr to try in my own rimfires. Hope you had a nice Christmas, and Happy New Year to you and your family. JT Barren County, KY
Never hear of this brand 🤔 not sold where I live. I'm always interested in trying new ammo. This is my first time seeing your channel nicely done. 👍 My rifle do like Norma and of course CCi.
When did you buy that S&W model 41 .22lr pistol? I bought 1 in 1983 and the best price I could get in St. Louis was 417$ with tax. My friends thought I was nuts for spending that much $$$ on a .22lr pistol until they shot it at my shooting range.
If I have it figured right, the lingo in the 22 rimfire ammo industry goes something like this? sub-sonic/quiet: 900-1000 fps standard velocity: 1050-1100 fps high velocity: 1150-1250 fps hyper velocity: 1350-1450 fps
I have a few 10 or 12? inch AR500 steel targets like the one you have leaning. You might want to hang that on a chain or steel cable. If they don’t have any “give” the bullet is very likely to ricochet. I’m sure you know this, but they are quite solid, heavy steel targets.
Thanks CO. Love your .22 videos. About 1997 or so my old shooting buddy and I were hooked on S&B .22 ammo. It seemed to be noticeably more accurate than other brands. Then quite suddenly it went away and I haven't seen any of it until now on your video. Looks to still be good stuff. If I could ask what was the scope you have on your M60? Thanks for your videos.
Nice looking Rem 581. What custom mods have been done to your 581? I also have a customized 581 built by Voelker. It prefers Eley subsonic HP’s and RWS HV HP’s.
Thanks as always. I'll have to get some of that ammo to add to my other target ammo. Happy New Year!! My next video on the 31st is on an H&R Sportsman Double Action 22 revolver that is 90 years old. It shoots pretty good. Check it out if you get a chance. Thanks!
Good question, and I am sure many others would like to know. I ordered an unfinished black walnut blank from Wenig and added rosewood tip and forend. Then I shaped it, sanded it, hand rubbed the finish, and checkered it, so it is not a factory stock.
I've watched several of your videos and seems like most .22 you shoot are pure lead bullets instead of jacketed is that just your favorite or do you have a reason for those .
Most of the .22 ammo I use is either standard velocity, or sub-sonic. Nearly all .22 LR ammo in that configuration is not plated by copper or any other type of "jacket". The only true jacket on .22 LR ammo is made by CCI. This load is called "Uppercut", and is a self-defense cartridge. Not sure if they still make it. Copper plated .22 ammo is really a copper-wash coating, and is very thin.
Happy new year to all watching his videos! I am looking 👀 forward to seeing all this years great content! 😊
I sense you may be partial to that 581, your 😊 smile gave it away.
It looks like a very nice rifle.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so they say. I’ll definitely be shopping for the Sellier and Bellot. Another great, informative video!!!

I found it at $3.49 per box of 50. Hopefully I can get it again, because they are currently out of it.

I hope to get some more myself, but the place I found it in is currently out of stock. Happy New Year to you as well.
Every gun has its preferences and all depends on how well the gun was made...tolerences etc...
Another great dsy at the range with you young man...
Glad you came along.😊
@CumberlandOutdoorsman i watch you all the time.
This new breed of tacticool guys make me cuckoo.

The scope in the model 60 is a Japan made Bushnell 6X.
@@CumberlandOutdoorsman Thanks for the input CO.
Looks to shoot nice and tight.
Good video. What’s the velocity rating on the box? What’s the price range?
Enjoied rhe vid tom happy new yr

Great video again. I was wondering what ammo do you favor for your 581 even though it handles most very good?
Nice shooting! What size are those targets you’re using?

Did the stock on your 581 come from the factory or is it a custom stock

Beautiful job, would love to have a stock like that for my 581.
Ain’t bad.

@@CumberlandOutdoorsmanFinally someone that knows 22 bullet construction.
Great video! Still have some Seeker ammo for you.
@cumberlandoutdoorsman where did you get that ammo?
Its not wax. Its a polymer coating.
Polymer? That would make the coating some kind of plastic.
