@GGMentor @DoubleBilly @MrLlamaSC @SweetPhil #d2r #d2resurrected #d2roffmeta #d2rdruid #d4ismeh #d2rpodcast #d2rmonkdruid did you guys know there was a Monk in diablo 2?
Hey guys thanks for tuning in to the premiere of this cool build. there was a question asking why not use an Archon Staff. the answer is that I do not have one because i'm online and the Shillelagh has a more battle staff/monk looking design anyway, so it suits the fantasy of the build. it also has a speed of [0] whereas the archon staff is [10]. Another point i'd like to make for anyone thinking the clear speed on off-meta builds isn't worth your time is that you can conceive of off-meta builds as the end game or hard mode of D2R. For some people the true end game is PVP, some wish terror zones were more difficult, but I think these types of builds fill this need pretty well. If you can clear the game with an off-meta build then you're playing hard mode basically. Thanks!
@@poopfacemcgoo4338 no problem and thanks for the comment. im glad you understand my point about off-meta essentially being PVE hard mode. and it doesn't have to be P8 viable to be worth building and playing.
I play single player and I do not have all items either. Never used any form of dupe or hack or hero editor, never will - destroys what is fun with this game
Hey thanks dude. Yea, i thought id share some of these builds i came up with over the last couple years of playing d2r. Ive got a bunch now on the channel and more to come. Hoping there's enough interest one day to get more updates. Dunno if D4 will ever let the d2r team go back though...
@@off-meta-michael Yeah man, it's a bummer. D4 didn't really do it for me to be honest. We can only hope! Also, not sure if anyone ever said this, but you look like Rhykker, which is cool cause he's a good Diablo content creator as well! Cheers!

Nice work man! I can't play D2R yet but I'll definitely try something like this in Project Diablo 2! I'm not a fan of the 'were' versions or the meta either so this my next try... after Mind Blast Assassin. Keep it up!!
Very cool concept and taking advantage of Druid's 2 hander capability. Seems like a good opportunity to use Enigma for mobility and minion control, otherwise I'd go fury if I wanted to run around and wack stuff as a druid - but I suppose that's my preference. It's unfortunate that Hit Blinds Target competes with curses. May be another reason to go Faith, or Might merc with Pride. Or toss in a Last wish alongside Lawbringer. Dual Azurewrath could be an interesting consideration too. It will provide more than 2x dps for the merc in many cases, but yeah, no Decrepify and a bit less ed from Sanctuary. Liked and subbed.
Nice pointing out the druid two hander speed. I forgot to mention that in the video as another reason why i chose it. Albeit, i would have chosen anyway for the style alone. All great suggestions. Honestly, i was thinking the same for variations to the build and have planned on making follow up videos for it. This particular setup though captures my concept very well in my opinion and gives me max res on fire, lightning, poison, with decent damage for such an off-meta build. Fortitude gives me the chilling armor for that relfect of projectiles and the 300% damage. Plus i get style points for pairing it with cyclone armor. I dont mind having to run with these kinds of concept builds and miss out on teleport. I like my dual lawbringer on the merc for undead areas, it makes it look like my Monk Druid is psychically blasting them back. I will definitely though be trying other setups. EXCELLENT comment my friend.
If anyone has any suggestions for 2 handed weapons that like good in a Druids hands please let me know. I have tried a Passion Thresher and a silver edge axe so far.

thanks! I don't believe anyone has come up with the Monk Druid before in D2. i could be wrong but as i said in the video i personally have never seen it and even if someone did use a staff with passion they didn't run this type of regeneration, counter, 110% attack speed, and all res setup with it. thanks for the comment
