This is fabulous Alan. What a wonderful look into the relationship of Angelina and Egil. It's been so obvious over the years that these two were meant to collaborate. They are a wonderful team. But now that Angelina is based in the USA, I wonder what the future holds for them together. Alan, you're bringing your show to a new level. This video was a big surprise and very, very welcomed. We've heard a lot about Ivan Mendez (USA) but nothing about Egil. I come away from this understanding Egil is a very accomplished musician and his professionalism and knowledge of how to perform with a young enthusiastic artist comes through loud and clear. Near the end you mentioned how fans react to her and asked Egil if he knew why. He presented a "logical" answer noting her voice and the song selections. I'm so glad you didn't push it further because we know in Egil's heart he feels the same way as all of us do and we didn't need him to acknowledge that. Regardless of which direction Angelina goes in the future (Concerts/Recording sessions/Albums) Egil will always have a dear spot in Angelina's climb to the top. And, as you suggested earlier, the covers both of them produced will live forever.
Wow, Alan, this was just brilliant with great insight from Egil. We have all commented how she often reads the lyrics on her phone & I assumed she had sung it only 6 or 7 times before & still didn't know all the lyrics. This is so big league Alan. It was so special to have an interview with someone in her inner circle. You also showed some clips I had never seen. I would guess you had a lot of conversation with Egil not in your production. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Cheers. Jeff
Hi Jeff, Well anticipated. My original interview with Egil was 32 minutes long but only half that made it into this video. Next week I am intending to show the whole interview- tho you would have seen the juiciest bits already. Cheers AP
Alan we angels can't thank you enough for this great interview. There is so much to digest and will have to watch it a few times. Very well done and of course many thanks to Egil for doing the interview.
Oh my gosh! Alan, I must say, you outdid every reactor with this one!!! Thank you and a special thank you to Egil, you made my day!!! It is just unbelievable that most of her video are spontaneous with no rehearsal, and they are all magical . Alan, I hope someday you can use your magical powers to get Angelina on ! This is great!
I have just found you... Wow!!! Happy happy happy... why??? Because since I have heard this ANGEL sing, I have lost interest in anybody else. I am 67 and listening to Angelina's soulful voice fulfils my heart so completely. She is a GIFT to this world. Thank you Alan for devoting your channel to HER. I will watch all your programs from the beginning WHAT A TREAT!
Yes, occasionally someone discovers my channel and wants to watch the whole back catalogue. Here's what I recommend. Watch them in order- the oldest one first. (You will see right from the start I never did first time reactions). In the early days, I was bit more tongue tied- not quite used to speaking in front of the camera. In mid December, I learnt how to make my own videos- that's when I really found my wings. Now I find my videos are only limited by my imagination- so I keep trying to stretch it. My videos are published every Saturday 3pm London time AP
@@thealanpapier Thank you for your reply. I will take your advice and watch from the start. I don't mind you are not doing first-time reactions (I've already watched so many). Your approach is very refreshing and interesting. I love the depth and colour you bring, and as for the reactions... well, I can listen to the same song by Angelina over and over and over and have a deeper experience each time. So for me, there is another dimension to your "reaction", and I really enjoy it.
Oh, that was so enjoyable to hear Angelina' s story from the perspective of Egil and yourself Alan. Egil is such a nice guy and has, obviously, been the perfect teacher and collaborator for Angelina.
It appears to me that Angelina can amazingly deliver a quite polished song in one or two takes where I suspect that many really good artists would need closer to a dozen takes to achieve a similar quality performance. But I'm just a listener with very minimal musical talent. Though one doesn't necessarily need musical talent to really appreciate such fine performances.
Well being plus joy! That about sums it up for me. Thank you, thank you thank you. Of course I wish you the best in your future endeavors. This is the highest of levels, with great respect towards the future of all artists involved creating magic. A most wonderful way to wake up, to a great day. Have a great weekend Alan 😀.
What a wonderful interview with Angelina's friend and compadre in so so many great songs they have done together. Egil is a wonderful musician and we can only hope that he and Angelina will work together again in the coming months and years. This was great Alan, we Angels are so appreciative of what you do.
Well Done Alan👋👋 Thank you Egil for the great insights and all that you have done for Angelina.🤗🎶. Thank you Rene and Pontus for helping to make this happen 👌👋
What a prize! This is so great for background on Angelina. Thank you. And yes, as others here are saying, Egil deserves a statue for his style of aiding the development of our Superstella. And Alan, if you maintain this level of creativity, yours will soon follow.
Excellent work here, Alan! This is so great to hear about some of these moments from Egil himself. I know Angelina is destined to become one of the greatest of all time, and I think Egil's work with her has played a very important role in her early development. The way he always lets her to take the lead and set the pacing of the song, allows her to create the vocal just as she hears it in her mind, and deliver it to us in a way that we have never heard it before. There is always something very organic and natural about Angelina that draws us in, and Egil's style of playing fits perfectly with her. If you happen to be reading through these comments, Egil, I would like to thank you personally for all you have done in your work with Angelina. As Alan says, you deserve a statue! :)
@Rusty, I think the way Egil restrains his own ego to allow Angelina to blossom speaks volumes about his character. What strikes me is that they relate to each other like older brother and younger sister. One of the things Angelina has done, consciously or not, is to gather support from the ideal people to foster her enormous talent. The restrictions of this alleged pandemic seem to be lifting slowly and I can't wait to see what Angelina's creative spirit brings us once she is unleashed to perform again.
@@BlackWolfSpirit I think its getting clear to anyone willing to use their brain that this infection is more propaganda then medical in nature! The only figure that one should have to hear is that in the year 2020 that in the entire USA only 14400 cases of influenza were presented at hospital emergency rooms. I could go on but it seems like I am preaching at the choir!!!
@@rwlewko I think this is not the place for such a controversial statement. You may wish to know that covid 19 killed my mother last year. I assure it is not propaganda.
@@kevingood4644 Kevin, I am truly sorry for your loss. I agree that this forum is for discussing the amazing talent that is Angelina Jordan and I don't want to diminish that. However, I stand by that what we are being told about this "pandemic" is questionable!
Thank you both for taking the time to give us a little insight to her musical process behind the scenes. I think this is the first time I've heard from a musician who has personally worked with Angelina.
Really a great job of synthesis and connection, very nice to be able to deepen the connections and the behind the scenes of the wonders that our Angelina creates, thanks Alain 😊
So alot of the time Angelina is composing the song as she goes... AMAZING and Egil picks up on the fly as to how AJ is composing the song and adapts his playing to suit... AMAZING... Sounds like Angie and Egil synergize and go to the same "happy place" when they perform together... that explains the resulting magic they produce... my guess is that AJ knew within a matter of minutes that Egil was the one for her...
Yes, it was so interesting to hear the background on some of these performances I've watched, and loved, so many times. It is truly amazing that they were so impromptu. These two are true musicians of the highest order.
Absolutely brilliant Alan! Thank you so much for putting this out in the world. My appreciation for Egil's talent as a musical artist himself has been elevated more so. In my mind, when I began following Angelina since 2017, I imagined that they would just get together and record the sessions on the fly and this interview just confirmed my imaginings. This makes Angelina's abilities even more impressive. We now need to see Ivan Mendez in an interview like this!! My hope is that it happens and would be looking forward to it! This is a higher level YT series! Cheers and Thank you!!
Alan - this is an amazing production. You started in the right place - Egil has been such a good influence and supporter of Angelina. The flow of the story is like finding those last few jigsaw pieces that completes the picture! So now Alan, with great power, comes great responsibility - now you have to track down more (if not all) of the key musicians that have worked with Angelina over the years - this could be the beginning of an epic series! Last but not least - your obvious next step would to get this video to be seen by Angelina and her family! I wish you luck with what ever can follow on from this - you deserve a medal and if it all comes together, a statue in Oslo - that we can all go to see!
This may be a difficult video to follow. What I may wish to do may just not be possible. But my approach is to be respectful of privacy at all times, which hopefully can open some doors. AP
Actually this is a perfect approach and many people would like to see more behind the scene documentary. There is a good chance the musicians won’t mind. great job 👏
Wow !! Really there Alan you surprise me and you amaze me. Thank you for this extraordinary interview with Egil. I hope the next one will be Ivan Mendez.
Thank you, Alan, and thank you, Egil. When someone prepare for a video or a book about Angelina`s life and singing, this has to be a part of it. I think it`s that important.
I have been very impressed with Egil Klausen ever since I saw him accompanying Angelina over the years. I always wondered why he was not often mentioned. They are such a remarkable team and so fortunate... for each other and for us. This is such a lovely tribute to him.
Alan - Thank you for reaching out to Egil for the interview. Egil - thank you for taking the time for this, your collaboration with Angelina is truly mind blowing in it's seeming simplicity, 2 people using their respective instruments, and yet the outcome is an emotionally auditory delight. I pray you can continue the journey.
This is extremely enjoyable, I've always wondered what these musicians think about being in this enviable association with this once in a lifetime talent. Very enjoyable, thanks so much for this, it's amazing and fun.....and of course a special thanks to Angelina and all those talented musicians she is associated with. ( It never gets old)

I really enjoyed to hear Egil‘s input and perspective about their work together, and I’m sure so will many of her Angels. Very well done, thanks again ❣️
Well done, Alan. Thank you very much. And naturally a big heartfelt thanks to Egil: a great man and musician that has put himself at the service of Angelina.
Not just perfect ear... thatis attached to her perfect large brain.. Even at age 1.5 through 4 yrs old, we can see she has a very large cranium and frontal cortex area she had to grow into. THAT superior brain allows her not only to be serious and more mature overall, in her nature, but also, allows her full body control to sing so well, body, mind interaction to make the sound appear and that perfect ear/hearing to hear, to complete that feedback loop.
Wow Alan, don't know how you pulled this off,but it was beautifully done and insightful.I know Ivan Mendez is sometimes interactive on his social media. It would be great to score the other bookend.
all new to me... Every time something new about Angelina comes out.... it's ALWAYS a delight. Egil gave engaging answers to great questions. That last question about what is it about Angelina that can make people cry when they hear her sing? He did say and then spoke over his own answer. "'Magic'' She makes me choke up and i can't explain it except, it must be magic.
Thank you very much Alan for this well deserved tribute to Egil Clausen. Can you tell me if all the clips you showed can be find in the Mosarz chanel ? I've seen almost all the videos there but I didn't recognized some of your clips.
Angelina & Egil seems to make a perfect team. She always needs to be in charge - even if she works with an orchestra- she must be in charge & allow her voice to shine.

However she was caught sitting on a closet shelf in the dark 'doing her homework' on her birthday by the judge from Norway's Got Talent . . . . which led me to believe she is 'not to be taken for granted'. 'She moves in mysterious ways . . . . '. I was considering that God had taken an Angel from his personal choir and placed her among us just to watch our astonishment as a form of entertainment. So you see, Louise, my mind runs in a lot of directions when it comes to Angelina due to MY astonishment ! ! !
Hope this explanation helps . . . . . take care , rh
Andy, I too, have viewed many times, that which Alan has produced.
So many great revelations from Egil! I don't know where to start. My favourite is perhaps that the recordings a mostly first take!
OMG! This is an amazing treat!!. Thank you for your dedication to celebrating such a talent. I am blown away. This made my week.
Great job Alan, every Angelina reactor has to see this video. Lets share the link👍👍👍👍
Well Done Alan👋👋
Thank you Egil for the great insights and all that you have done for Angelina.🤗🎶.
Thanks Egil, I love your collaborations with Angelina.
Thank you so much for this. It shows footage that I haven’t seen before, and anything about this gifted young lady captures my attention.
Thanks so much for this excellent interview with the insight of making magic music. Especially to Egil for supporting this unique talent of Angelina
This was amazing Alan. Thanks for all the work you put into this.

AP
@@thealanpapier Having this first video as a reference should open some doors - I wish you every luck!
Actually this is a perfect approach and many people would like to see more behind the scene documentary. There is a good chance the musicians won’t mind. great job 👏

This was an amazing gift to us from you. Thanks as always for your thoughtfulness.
Thanks Alan, I just admire your research and how we get to know Angelina and those who influence her and her music. Steve

Thx so much for this Alan
🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is great! Good on you to get Egil. :)
Thank you Alan and Egil for this awesome little peek into Angelina’s and Egil’s musical world.
Fabulous!!!
This is extremely enjoyable, I've always wondered what these musicians think about being in this enviable association with this once in a lifetime talent. Very enjoyable, thanks so much for this, it's amazing and fun.....and of course a special thanks to Angelina and all those talented musicians she is associated with. ( It never gets old)
Girls just wanna have fun! That includes super talented jazz princesses too of course. Good to see AJ having fun while she works on her wonderful craft. Thank you Alan for this interview, and thank you Egil for helping the angel along on her journey.
Many thanks Mr. Papier. You have truly achieved yet a new level of excellence. Well done!
Thank you once again this was very interesting and really getting to know the people who worked with A.J. take a bow Alan. Now one crazy idea, would love to see Egil,Ivan and of course A.J. playing together.
Love this interview, well done. Also love the nice chemistry between Egil and Angelina.
Thank you !!! Filling in all the pieces for a complete picture of Angelina
This is greatly appreciated , thank you Alan
Alan, so well done 🙏thanks
Excellent video & excellent editing to help tell the story
I love this. Thank you so much Alan
Watching Angelina start laughing at Egil was just priceless!!! Love it!
Thank you so much, Alan, for putting together this interview with Egil! The videos of Angelina with Egil accompanying her are pure gold, and a testament of the many magic moments on Angelina’s path to musical excellence. I really enjoyed to hear Egil‘s input and perspective about their work together, and I’m sure so will many of her Angels. Very well done, thanks again ❣️
That may be your best yet, Alan! Keep them coming.
Thank you.
Well done, Alan. Thank you very much. And naturally a big heartfelt thanks to Egil: a great man and musician that has put himself at the service of Angelina.
Fabelaktig, Egil! Flott å bli bedre kjent med deg 😊

"'Magic''
She makes me choke up and i can't explain it except, it must be magic.
I'm so proud of myself! :D Probably I'm the first hungarian fan of her! It’s a wonderful experience to see her become a star!
Thank you very much Alan for this well deserved tribute to Egil Clausen. Can you tell me if all the clips you showed can be find in the Mosarz chanel ? I've seen almost all the videos there but I didn't recognized some of your clips.
And also very Lucky ❤
What a major Coup you just pulled off here !! Well done Alan. Egil is awesome !
Thank you for this. Angelina is always surrounded with great musicians that rarely get the credit they deserve. Thank you again.
Angelina & Egil seems to make a perfect team. She always needs to be in charge - even if she works with an orchestra- she must be in charge & allow her voice to shine.
This was very very interesting and wonderful.
Thank you
I love this conections where you humenize everyone and we can kind of let our hair down and just have fun.
Dear Alan, Thanks for amazing job that you did here ..and giving us the chance to see and hear

Thank you Alan and Egil, that was a real treat.... :-)
Thank you for this - it's wonderful.

Thank you Egil for a great interview, the girl is just the best period :)
Thank you, Alan. I don't know what to say. This is awesome. I have to say, sir, you have an anointing for promoting this amazing singer. Thank you for the work you put into showing us an important part of Angelina's background. I have never been affected so much by one singer and I have enjoyed a lot in my many years. But as you so clearly point out Angelina is special. I think she is a gift to the world from God!
It certainly wouldn't shock me if Angelina makes it into the top 10, maybe even top 5 female vocalists of all time. I think she really is that talented.
Wonderful, what a nice surprise, thank you.
Wow Wow Wow Alan, you hit this one over the fence and out of the park!
Loved this insightful interview 👏
What is magical about Angelina Jordan's singing? Well, the way I feel it, tells me that Angelina over-took the magic of music, cleaned it of a certain grown-up residual and made it noble and as clean as a pure girl's soul! We kind a feel "ashamed" of our dirty soul in front of Angel...Lina!
Great interview Alan, I think you are coming of age here. The second party POV is so present to my "Angelina experience" WOW!!!
Alan, this was a great, great, great, GREAT video! What a treasure trove of information from that interview! What a great selection of clips! Thank you so much!
Yes, Chris, I got lucky with this one. And it won't have happened without our mutual friend Pontus
Alan, I Enjoyed your a mini documentary so much today that I didn’t want it to end. I would expect there’s much more about Angelina and Egil’s partnership that you could go on for hours.
You have become the Barbara Walters of Angelina’s life story. And I agree with others a similar documentary with Ivan Mendez would be terrific.
