Please keep doing all in not most psvr2 games. I have a psvr2 and you are one of the few channels that does hit the points in the review to give us a good overview/review on the game
@@craiger82 Yeah, I didn't see it on my phone but using the pc on the Playstation store website there is a countdown (6pm). I wonder if its released now in other countries, might try my vpn and see if that works. Thanks for reply craig.
I guessed based upon it's look, new mechanics and the way the story is told. I've played my fair share of point and click adventures and much prefer how this remake was all laid out. That's what I meant by that.
@@VRGRID I see. I'm a much-beloved game. I wouldn't call it a "point and click adventure" (those games back then were things like Monkey Island). It was pretty unique. Having said that, this is probably a better game. But still...
Definitely enjoying 7th guest in VR :) I was lucky enough to play it on my friends older brothers high end PC with a CDrom that was big deal then. I beat it for the 1st time on my CDI last year. Was too dumb and young to hand the challenge for decades... Lol. My only complaint is the brightness is too high a bit washed out, I have turned my psvr2 brightness all the way down and it's still a too bright. I think it would better darker and with higher color intensity.
Agreed, I should've mentioned that but I have a habit of turning my brain of shortcomings in favor of immersion... Ur not wrong, would love some added contrast
Exactly some contrast is needed, I more or less do the same thing but in this case I had to push a little harder to ignore the brightness/contrast issues, once I dimmed it in the PSVR2 options I was able to ignore it for the most part. Crossing my fingers for a patch.
Thanks for the video …. Question as I’m not really into puzzle games I really want to try this one …. What do you think about a newbie puzzler playing this game ? Thanks
@@viperal5832 If your main concern is the puzzle difficulty, this does have an integrated hint system, or the ability to bypass puzzles entirely using coins hidden around the environments. Might be a decent choice because of those features, but if you're not sure if you'll enjoy a game based entirely around puzzles, the Red Matter games would probably be better.
Some of the puzzles dont really work. They are super clunky and frustrating. The meat puzzle barely worked for me. The melting the frozen crank was just unintuitive. I tried so many things that logically should have worked until I just did something that I thought was stupid and it worked. The dolls puzzle was super confusing and things kept glitching out. The puzzle in the closet with the mirror also made no sense. The reflection in the mirror showed the initial combo at the top row, but it was actually supposed to be solved from the middle row. Like..did no one play test this game?
The mirror was obvious. You have to input the code then input it backwards as shown in the mirror! It literally shows you the exact code if you stand in the right spot
@@seanhart9706 Mirrors are supposed to work by reflection. So I used its reflection, which wasnt the same angle in the mirror. The reflection shows the top row, not the middle row which solved the puzzle. It was just bad design.
On pc it was pretty good. I haven't played the PSVR version. Classic resident evil vibes minus the puzzles but runs out of ideas quick. Only 2 guns and it's on the short side. Fun but it's still budget Resident Evil. -Chris
@@VRGRID you had me at resident evil vibes. Ended up finding a way to pick it up for $10. I wouldn't mind seeing budget versions of some good games come out. Hopefully everything going good on your end bro.
shoot, im now forced to watch the entire video since theres no review score at the end edit: okay there is a review score at the end so i wasted my time by watching the entire video, but atleast i helped the algorithm
Gamertag did one. He does not think it has been enhanced for quest 3, looks same as quest 2, although there is a natural bump in the graphics for quest3 version.
Just played on Quest 3. Noticeable step back in visuals. Lower quality textures, less assets and everything looks more bland... But it does look clear AF.
Everything I've seen so far about this game makes it look like a great puzzle game. Can't wait to put some time aside to play it. Great review 👍
Looks like the developers did a good job of staying true to the original game but updating it for modern times.
Good review!

Great review Ryan!
Looking at adding this next when I finish Red Matter 2
I love the atmosphere of the game. Great review by the way.
Still not for sale yet? Is there a time of the day for this. I’m in the uk
Will be when the store updates later today mate

It’s just become available at 6pm in the UK
on sale now! :)
Thanks for the review. If you didn't play the original, how can you know it exceeds it?

I loved the original and this looks great. Definitely getting this before Halloween
There is a height slider for seated mode. It is in the menu
I had the original. 👍

It's mostly puzzles. If you aren't really into puzzle games, I'd check out the red matter series over this one.
Ok thank you

@salvador2390 busy working nights and 6 days a week. Great money but no life. Looking forward to some more balance and getting back to the channel.
It's certainly no t The 7th Guest I remember when released. But this is still great in its own
right.
I always look for realism when I'm trying to solve my own murder while trying to stop a demon worshiping toymaker who steals the souls of children
Lol... You know what I meant!

I want to see the Quest 3 version.
It's not as good looking
