Thank you Joyce, after watching a few of the official Tailscale channel it still was not as clear as your video was. Even the subnet router option was explained so simply.
Although Tailscale is built on WireGuard there is one major difference , it uses server relays meaning it travels via their servers and like everything data that goes through a 3 rd party server is susceptible to privacy or lack of it (trust Tailscale that keeps its end of the bargain ) it is like Synology quickconnect which some times uses their server relays in case of slow connections specially when you are using it overseas. Another con of using Tailscale which might be the only be applicable to me is it is noticeably slower than WireGuard

can apple tv link to other machine use an exit node? Not Apple TV made exit node
Yes - you can select any machine on your network to select as an exit node
Thank you so much! It works!❤
Didn't know this was possible. Do I need tailscale on my device outside the home to access the Apple TV and internal NAS? Thanks in advance!
Yes, you would need to download the Tailscale app on your phone or laptop to access the network
Yeah not paying tailscale anything when I can just Wireguard it free of cost anywhere in the world.
Tailscale is built on wire guard, and free for personal use. But yes you can use wire guard directly too!
