- I present models of the German company Siku, manufactured in 1973. They were characterized by very high precision and good quality. It was a very diverse range of vehicles and it was certainly a big competition for companies from England.

Es ist nun 49 Jahre her, als ich mir in unserem "Papiergeschäft" ein paar neue Stifte kaufte und diesen Katalog mitnahm. Ich schmökerte und schwelgte damals als Neunjähriger viele, viele Wochen lang, fast täglich nach der Schule darin. In diesem Video erkenne ich deshalb tatsächlich die meisten Seiten-Layouts und Fahrzeuge fotorealistisch wieder, sogar die Jungs :) Vielen Dank für das tolle Video und die wunderschöne Zeitreise ♥Oh Mann, ich habe jetzt sogar wieder den unverwechselbaren Duft aus dem Laden in der Nase !

5:44 Siku 348 was my favorite model. You ask why? Because Dad drove a Mercedes-Benz 1628 in this time, also with a swap body lorry and trailer! He was carrying furniture from Germany to France. Thanks for bringing this childhood memory back! 👍👍🍾

Nice memories again. I still have a lot of SIKU models from the late '60s and early '70s given to me by my parents during our vacations in Western Germany. SIKU was of a much better quality than Matchbox models were. Thanks so much. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Jak na siedmiolatka w tym czasie, to była ogromna kwota. Nadal jestem właścicielem wozu strażackiego na lotnisku i testowej naczepy ADAC. Paul my friend, you don't even know how much pleasure you give me with your presentation. Not only did I have this brochure myself at the time, I also owned almost half of the models shown. For a 7 year old at that time, that was a huge amount. I still own the airfield fire engine and the ADAC test semi-trailer truck today. Paul mein Freund, du ahnst nicht mal, welche Freude Du mir mit deiner Präsentation machst. Nicht nur, daß ich diesen Prospekt damals selbst hatte, ich besaß auch fast die Hälfte der gezeigten Modelle. Für einen damals 7jährigen war das eine gewaltige Menge. Den Flugfeld-Löschwagen und den ADAC Prüf-Sattelzug besitze ich heute noch. Sie haben zwar in über 40 Jahren etwas vom alten Glanz verloren, aber ich würde sie niemals hergeben. Personally, I think these old Sikus are better than the modern ones !

You can try eBay to find this model, Mate. I still own one today and it's an awesome model. There are two different versions of it. The shown one with real rubber tyres and a later Version with plastic wheels. The old SIKU order code for both (If I remember that right) is V332. Give it a go, Mate and good luck. A great selection of vehicles in this catalogue. I was 9 years old at the time and not aware of Siku models it was either Dinky, Corgi or Matchbox in my house so thank you for sharing another reference guide.....Regards PJ;)

We wczesnej młodości miałem może ze 2 modele tej firmy w tym autokar Mercedesa, zazdrościłem kolegom co mieli np. porsche 928 czy vw golfa mk1 :) pod koniec lat 90 ukazała się odnowiona i bardzo dobrze jakościowo wykonana seria pojazdów tej firmy, uzbierałem większość z nich i mam do teraz. obecnie firma dalej robi modeliki ale ich jakość poleciała na łeb na szyje, oglądałem ostatnio na wystawie w jakimś markecie i według mnie wyglądają jak jakieś chińskie podróby, to samo uważam że bburago i majorette straciło jakość i swój urok.
Zgadzam się z tobą teraz to wygląda jak Taka byle jaka masówka nie mają modele takiego wdzięku i charyzmy jak dawniej. Pozdrawiam serdecznie

felicidades por tener ese catalogo ahora que lo revise hay varios modelos y algunos dificiles de conseguir hoy en ago 2021 que me he encontrado con el paso de los años y los tengo en la condicion original que los encontre algunos sin los aditamentos otro por suerte completos me alegro saber que vienen en este catalogo de 1973 que en ese año yo tenia 5 años de edad hoy imagina saludos y nuevamante gracias

Weil mein Vater damals bei Siku als Werkzeugmacher gearbeitet hat. Für Mitarbeiter gab es immer 2.Wahl Beutel für 10,-DM.
Und ich selbst habe dort dann auch meine Berufsausbildung absolviert. Von 1982-85.

W dzieciństwie modele "Siku" podobały mi się, bo były wszystkie w jednej skali i były solidnie - trochę topornie - wykonane. Ale wkurzały mnie otwierane drzwi, które się od razu psuły, bo nie miały sprężynek i się same otwierały po krótkim czasie używania. No i w "Pewexie" nie było "Siku", trzeba było po bazarach kupować.
Zwróciłeś uwagę na bardzo ważną sprawę mianowicie zawsze że mnie też denerwowało że firmy nie utrzymują jednej skali dla wszystkich modeli przez to już w dzieciństwie niektóre modele wydawały mi się nieproporcjonalne. Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Yeah the cars of my childhood , some of this cars are mine but not the trucks they are to expensive. At one day I only collect this brand and Matchbox was out, especially when Matchbox make the blister box.

Ich stimme mit Ihnen ein. Für viele Unternehmen führte die Verlagerung der Produktion nach China zu einem schrecklichen Kommerzialismus. Infolgedessen besteht kein Interesse an den Sammlern
most of their smaller cars where nowhere near as accurate as matchbox , it was a task trying to identify some of them but their larger models got it together , i gues though that where you are from that in 1973 if you got one of those as a child it was a huge treat
