I still have my brochure from Lord Montagu's Motor Museum in Breaulieu, where it offer the following quip about motor cars,..... "The French invented it, the Germans developed it, and the British opposed it". Which is a pity early history.
Many thanks, that was a great morning wasn’t it. My friend @SwooshDave is there most weekends with his new green Ford bronco. I always enjoy visiting and the cars and coffee guys are great. Best wishes.
In 1978 I toured most of North America on the Grey hound bus over a 2 month period. In a small bus station somewhere near Portland on a Sunday morning I asked the girl behind the counter in the diner what I could do here, before crossing over into Canada? She said, "Well, ...you're too late for church & the ball game was last week". Whoever she is, she still makes me laugh now. I grew up with many of those cars in the UK, but only one British bike there that I saw. I recall the CBX of course. well done & thanks for posting.
Dang if the British didn't have a slamming aesthetic sense! Pity about the oil leaks and the Lucas electronics. If they could have sorted that out they might have wiped the floor with Honda and the like.
Great ‘Blast from the past’ Mike. The Lotus Cortina brought back memories of seeing Jim Clark rounding corners on two wheels every single lap….and usually beating Ford Mustangs & Galaxies! Other ‘Stand outs’ for me included the Jensen Healey, the Honda CBX…..and of course your Vincent!
There is a great classic car u tube channel called I drive a classic. Steph the presenter, has great very seldom seen classics usually British. She is a kick!
nice display of british cars, they used to be all over the commonwealth, here in new zealand we used to make alot here. The ones like the jags, lotus, jensens etc made in the uk but minis, morris ,austins built under license .
@@TheMightyGarage Ir was only the other day I watched a episode of Del Boy, when i say RR best and worst, i used to own a Silver Shadow back in the 80s and once drove a Reliant Robin, total crap, but hey, you could drive one of these on a motorcycle license at 16.....great collection of cars in your video.....good job...
I find the Super Hyper expensive 'sports' cars so garish. Sadly just a pissing match for the rich. Your Vincent was the prince of speed with style , like Phil Read ✌️👍🇬🇧🇺🇲
I'm a classically trained thermodynamicist, and can offer that corn based ethanol make no sense as a fuel, but does suit the farm lobby.
A nice visual review. Thanks Mike.
My dad had a 49 Triumph roadster 2000. I wish I could find it and bring it home.

Nice shoots! Love your bike! Looks we were shooting the DBR-2 at the same time, LOL. you got my thumbs up for sure!

A great selection of Brit cars, there, shocked at seeing a Reliant Robin over there. Only one winner though, the Vincent. 👍
Well, there may have only been one english motorcycle there, but what a motorcycle it is! A beautiful day for a beautiful show!
One of the best British bikes ever made.I'd like to see more of it. You have some beautiful bikes.
But what a Brit bike it was! :-)

Interesting to see some old left hand drive British cars, and a Reliant robin...Thanks Mike
wow those cars make the 1968 MGB i've owned for 45 years look rough (but it still runs great)
Your Vincent, and the old Land Rover, and the old Bentley the best!!!!!!!!!💪💪💪

Great to see some old British cars. Brings back memories of 60's and 70's England. Lovely times. Cheers.
The Triumph TR6 with hard top was a beauty.I had a 1971 4door P.I 2500 with 4speed overdrive & was a Rocket 🚀 ship but a little slower than TR6.

Cool cars. Looks like you were the only guy to show up on a British motorcycle.
The V-8 Aston Martin has my vote. It's a piece of art.
