The paper itself was banned but journalists were not journalists got banned from Liverpool for obvious reasons and the sun journalists got banned from Everton for targeting Ross Barclay for a bad foul on an opposition and brought up some stupid things the player did earlier in his carrier that wasn't relevant and upset him and the club so they banned the sun. So i don't think the sun will be purchased in merseyside ever again and the paper ain't that popular in greater Manchester anyway so I don't think the sun gets a lot of money from the north west of England

i remember when a drunk student at college jumped out a window and died the news paper reported it as a tragic accident were he fell out a window and framed him as a kind person even though he stole the beer he was drinking before jumping .... all the teachers and students knew him as the college bully ......... when asked to change the storys or point these facts out the news paper refused so the college basicaly turned round and asked the local shops to stop selling that paper pretty soon all the shops in a 2 mile radius stopped selling those papers and they apoligized and printed a new article saying they misrepresented the dead student as his family was getting angry letters about him ................ that newspaper never reported false facts about students again ........... apart from a charity event they covered and only mentioned 3 students doing all the work and not talking about the one students who brought in nearly half the donations
