Hello Chuck, hope all is well. For some reason, I was not receiving alerts when you would come out with new videos, although I was subscribed with alerts marked?! Decided to take your lead and explore things around the US this summer and Fall; although not by sea (the up and down and rolling of the ocean would make this old man sick really fast 😞!). We purchased a 28' Airstream a little over a month ago (our land yacht LOL) and have already taken it down to Arizona and up through Idaho and Utah. We plan to take it to the West coast of our home state of Oregon next week and camp at the beach. This Fall, we have plans to go south again through Texas (brother-in-law lives there) and on to Florida to attend a friend's wedding and then up the eastern coastline and then back home to Oregon. Wife is wanting to visit Alaska, so I'm sure we will be going there as well, but will most likely save it for next year. So much to see that we have never seen or visited. Happy trails my friend. Cliff
That’s quite an adventure. We’d like a landyacht when we’re done with the boat thing. I post to FB pretty regular for the stuff we do w the kids and moving around on the boat. The TH-cam vids take a LOT longer to edit and post and since it’s just us two…..we have to prioritize.
Hi Karma, thanks for the comment. It’s possible but the “Head” is in an area with no ferrous metal but I’ll check again. I probably need to recalibrate the entire unit but this thing is supposed to be automatic. It’s terribly expensive. The reason the unit makes a hard left or right is Submarine cables. It took me a while to find that but you can watch the unit go berserk exactly when it crosses an underwater cable and attempts to follow it.
I saw your new belt was black and a genuine Raymarine belt are somewhat yellowish . Where did you buy this belt and how much is it? Raymarine belts are very expensive. Thanks in advance, Richard
Ahhhh, sorry but I don’t know off the top of my head. I Google searched and found it on Ebay. It’s very specific. You can’t buy a regular belt sized to fit.

Could it be that some electrical interference is making the compass go askew? Like a radio antenna?

I searched online and found it. Probably bought it through Amazon.

What size is the belt?
