There was no answer. The unit was tested by a service agent in the uk and they said they couldn't find a fault even though one clearly existed. The solution which addressed other issues was to replace the entire wheel pilot system with raymarine new offering. It's accurate, less power hungry and tacks both ways!
Peter Davies Thanks Peter, mine is a 35 ft westerly and weighs 13000 lbs 6.40 tons. What did you buy? By the way my boat is in Grenada and I need an autohelm as single handed. Can recommend a Hydrovane for passages. Thanks for the reply. I live in Chelmsford if you are nearer enough for coffee! Trevor
Angel, that sounds like madness. Do you have any way of making sure the software is up to date; you will need a modern ray marine mfd. If that doesn’t help then disconnect everything, make sure the connectors are good and the wiring is sound. Check the power supply to the sea talk network and the autopilot motor. Logic dictates that the wind instrument must be the problem. Good luck. Try the raymarine forum if it’s no different.
Hi. There is an gybe prevention function in there. Is your autopilot connected to your network? Seatalk or NMEA? If your windvane is connected to the network, you cannot gybe. Disconnect the vane from the network and it will allow you to gybe. All is in the manual.
Hi. Hello may I ask please Would you know how to Recalibrate this system as I have fitted new steering cables and now I need to reset the screen to centre with the rubbers on my catamaran Kindest wishes to all 🙏⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
No. It was checked by a uk service agent who said it was fine. I continued to use the unit and if I wanted to tack I'd have to quickly press the 10 button 9 or 10 times. I have now replaced the whole system with raymarine latest offering which is much better than the original, keeps a better course, uses less power and tacks both ways!
preventing accidental gybes :)
Yes. Test it in real sailing conditions, he is in the marina and probably gybing according to his windvane.
What is the answer? I have the same issue.

Trevor
thank you very much for your answer
If I disconnect the st 60+ wind equipment, the auto tack works.
I do not know what is happening

Suggest to download the manual.
