I’m 5’10” 220. My first chain was a 8mm 26” rocked that daily for 4 years. Decided to upgrade to a 10mm 25”. I love it! Perfect size for my build. I added a 10mm bracelet for 2 years and then upgraded to a 12mm. I’m good now. I also have a 5mm Rope chain to offset the Cuban. Best of both worlds.
I daily a 9mm 22" perfect length in my opinion because its long enough to stay outside of your shirt without slipping inside your collar. I feel like 20" youll spend most of your time pulling the chain back out of your shirt. 8mm IMO is the smallest mens daily wear size
I wear 8mm gold Cuban daily. And it’s super small. I’m upgrading to a 16mm 20 in silver Cuban. I’m a truck driver and can pull it off daily, can’t wait
I wear a 3-4mm 22" cuban with a memorial pendant everyday. Its perfect. I also have a 6mm 32" flat/curb cuban ,but that one i cant wear everyday. In fact im having a hard time finding the perfect piece for it. It has to be 3.5"-5" to balance out the whole chain
My first chain was a 7mm 22 inch. I’m 6’0, 170 and jacked. I prefer the 5mm 20 or 18 inch, and my daily chain is my micro Cuban, 3mm 14k 18 inch. I like where it sits on my upper chest, by my collar and it’s very low key but very present. Goes great with a tank, Henley, or an unbuttoned dress shirt
9mm 24” 14k yellow gold would be my preference. I thought about going with rose color gold but I still think yellow gold is more popular. Love your channel.
I had an 14k 8mm 24" originally and i couldnt agree more. it was great, i loved it for every day wear, but it didnt have the presence that i wanted for events and vacations etc. Now i have a 14k 10mm 25" and its perfect. Though I have to admit, i dont wear it daily. 5mm wheat chain w/ diamond cross pendant tucked in for me.
I absolutely love wearing jewelry every day. I wear thick chains thick bracelets, but, when I work, I tend to have thinner pieces that are not so chunky but for my every day where I wear chunky bracelets and necklace I always look at it. This way is great for every day if you’re going to work, especially in the environment that I work as a pianist you wanna look great but also you want your jewelry to fit your dress clothes so your dress clothes are gonna be a little thinner than your casual clothes the same thing with your jewelry that’s the way that I see it Every day. It’s great to wear the chunky stuff but when you’re working, it’s great to wear the thinner jewelry just like my watches. I like to wear big chunky watches but with work for me it’s a little different. I like the big watch on my wrist when I work I had to subscribe because I love this video.
My daily wear is a 5mm, handmade 22k, 20in Miami cuban no pendant with a 2mm, 22k, 20in dc Franco with a 22k angel pendant on it, when I'm feeling like bigger I'll occasionally wear my 7mm, 22in dc franco with the 1oz lady fortuna pendant... smaller neck so a 20in is like a 22in on most others. I'm 5'8, 155lbs
100% agreed in the 10mm X 24" being the sweet spot. Mine felt big for about a day and then, it just felt natural. The only downside is that now it has me wanting to upgrade to 12mm. 🫠
first off dig the channel 2nd dig the knowledge 3rdly ive been rocking 10mm 24" 14k everyday for about a year....all i can say is perfection....came up from a 6.5mm 24
Hello! Nice video. I rly like a 20 inc 18k 11mm cuban. I don't like to have a lot length around my neck and i think it looks cooler. Can you offer smt like that on your onlineshop with sleek lock. Thank you
I’m glad I got the 8mm/26inch Cuban and it is the largest chain I’d want to wear daily, the 8mm is still noticeable but comfortable anymore for me would be irritating especially in extreme hot or cold weather.
The 8mm/26inch is my favorite if u not rockin’ a pendant with it. 26inch is not too long or too short. I feel like a Mob Boss when I be sporting my Cuban 😎
I think it also depends on your body build and your height. For a 5'6" smaller guy like me, 8 or 9mm 22" is good enough as a daily wear. Bigger guys can rock 10mm better.
I have a 26” 10MM cuban that I use for daily wear. I’m 6’2 the only push back I’d give on the bigger chains is they’re not as efficient for working out. My workout chains are typically 6MM and around 22”
I'm a really big dude. 6'3" 310 pounds barrel chested. Looking for an ideal daily wear size that wouldn't look gaudy, but still get noticed. I was thinking a 9mm 24 ". Any thoughts on big guy wear?
I wear a 16mm Miami cuban being almost 6 foot, just under 300lbs and with similar chest and head proportions. I sell silver jewelery and coins so I didn't buy gold, but my 28" 16mm silver Miami is great. I wanted a 30 and you probably will too, but go to a local jewelery place or cut some electric wire to different lengths and try it out.
I rock a 10mm, 22inch because I don’t like my chain swinging. I actually like the weight. I like knowing the chain is on my neck. Then I stack it with my 8mm, 20inch. Same thing, nice weight to it and 2mm smaller and 2inches shorter.
I have 3 strategies for my chains. A single 8-9mm, 24in is my minimal wear. I add a 4-5mm, 26-28in as my normal daily, may add a modest pendant (big pieces annoy me when I walk). When I wanna be bold and flashy, my daily gains a 14-16mm, 20in. Possibly 12-14 if it's iced out, but I don't have one of those yet. Additionally I wear a 8mm bracelet daily and will add a bolder bracelet to it on occasion.
Great video..normally wear 9.8 Italian flat curb..then got a 8mm miami cuban link..i wore it everyday and at work. Didn't bother me that much but you can feel it..I ended up upgrading to a 9mm. I say the perfect daily is 6-7mm. My 8mm 1st reaction was looks smaller than I expected so I'd suggest going bigger 9-10mm if you want neck profile. If you want comfortable 6-7mm
I have a 8mm chain and a 12mm bracelet both in 22k. It rocks for me. I also have smaller chains and bracelets ranging from 3.5mm to 6mm which I wear more often on a daily basis. Bigger ones are for special occasions.
I've owned micro cubans (2mm, 2.5mm and 4mm) as well as 5, 6 and 7mm. It does really depend on your build. I've found that 4mm is minimum for daily solitaire wear as smaller chains are bit harder to see the design so 4mm looks tight links and great. 5mm is my daily now and no complaints.
I loved the cuban link chain but sadly I already have one chain customed design that kinda look like a yacht chain but it actualy figure 8 link (5mm) solid 24k…. I paired it with cuban link bracelet (10mm) 22k for daily use and surprisingly the effect is causing my chain to look bigger 😅😂🤣😉…. So to those who are thinking to buy a small cuban link chain don’t worry if u paired it with a big bracelet u will have that affect….. and beware some jewelers will charge a lil bit more for small size 5mm or smaller because it take more time, effort and skills to do the small one but one would be amazed with the results and looks. I dunno why some design look nicer in small diameter.
I went with a 9mm 26in. I was able to afford either 9mm 26in or 10 24in. I stayed with the 9mm 26in because I didn't want it to look to short on me because I am a larger guy.
I have a 5mm and a 10mm. The 5mm is from Daniel Jewelry Inc and the 10mm is from Gus Villa. Both 14k. Both 24 inches. The 5mm is much smaller than it looks on camera. It also has a tendency to flip and twist on the neck bc it doesn’t have the surface area to make contact with the body and stay in a flat laying position. It still gets noticed a lot by other people as a daily wear but nothing compares to the 10mm.
You made my shit, my sons shit....keep it up. Daily....8mm 25inch ,10mm bracelet n 11m ring. BTW Gus appreciate when u got the ring done in time. Salutes
Nice video Gus, in 2023 I upgraded four of my chains from sizes 5,8mm to 9mm in width to brand new hand made Miami Cuban 10.85mm 14K yellow 24.5" , 13mm 18K rose gold 25" with matching bracelet, 12.5mm 18K yellow 26" infinity AKA No Lock, and lastly 13.2mm 14K white gold 26" No Rhodium, No lock. Oh as a bonus got my daughter a 6mm 20" 14K white gold hand made box lock laser engraving with diamond button with super tight links from of course GJM. **Added--maybe I'll give Gus a shot on a Tri-color yellow, white, rose every three links in that order as a statement piece.
Hi I have the smaller Miami Cuban Chain 3.5 mm. @Gusvillajewelry it is 925 sterling sliver. I want to buy the 8 or 10 mm one from you website. Still not sure if I should hold off and buy the gold later on. What’s your opinion?
I rock a 5mm Miami cuban and a 6mm flat curb looks dope as hell an versatile plus its equivalent to having an 11mm chain😂.. But im looking to grab a 6mm Miami cuban with the flat file ...
From My Experience the mm for daily wear is very dependent on the person reason being is everyone has a different frame so for example: Someone on the bigger side at 6’1 250lbs could daily wear a 12mm to 15mm Vs 5’9 160lbs could daily a 8mm to 10mm
Was up Gus. Hey, question for you, I have an old fígaro 10k chain I bought 20+ years ago with a pendant and I don’t wear it because s it’s uncomfortable. I can’t remember the weight but is probably 8-10mm wide. Can you melt that chain and use the gold to make a cuban or you guys dot do that?
10.5 mm, 14kt 26in. Leon super tight links daily wear here. Got a 13mm bracelet to go with it. I layer that 💩 up with a platinum beaded chain & a platinum pamp suisse for good measure💪🏻🔥
Thank you for this video Gus! I really appreciate your opinions and think you have an awesome way of articulating them! Anyone got opinions on 30inch pieces?

@@burkes63Gold Over Silver Isn’t A Wise Choice , Silver At All Isn’t A Wise Choice . 🤦🏻♂️ Yeah A Silver Chain Is Cheaper Than A Gold Chain , BUT Silver Has An OUTRAGEOUS Markup , Meaning If You Spend $1000 On A Silver Chain , It Will Be Big , And Heavy , However It Will Only Be Worth $150 If You Go To Sell It . I daily wear a 9mm 20 inch, it’s an amazing choice never gets in the way always popping out looking slick only lil thing is when going for runs it is a little annoying for sure but I’ve gotten use to it flip the lock to the bottom and you’ll be alright I will admit tho if it was any longer I imagine it couldn’t work way too obnoxious bouncing when running/ working out. Also sport a 60 gram pendent on it at times and it’s great.(100 gram chain it’s 10k)
I’m probably gonna order the 10mm 22 inch. I have the 10mm 8 inch bracelet already so now just trying to figure out the chain size I should get but I think the 8mm a little too thin for me 10mm is perfect
The daily wear size is 16mm. Now that I got that accomplished, it's time to take it up to 19mm or 20mm width. And 8mm thickness. When it comes chains, bigger is better💪🏾

From My Experience the mm for daily wear is very dependent on the person reason being is everyone has a different frame so for example:
Someone on the bigger side at 6’1 250lbs could daily wear a 12mm to 15mm
Vs
5’9 160lbs could daily a 8mm to 10mm
Do you have 9mm silver 24 inchs.... I dont see it on the website.
10mm 22-24 perfect 💯
Im from Florida i got the 14mm 24inch normal down south
What’s the best daily wear size for a bracelet?
You do custom ring? What about solid gucci puff links?
Gold I go with 10mm but silver I do 13-16mm all day
10.5 mm, 14kt 26in. Leon super tight links daily wear here. Got a 13mm bracelet to go with it. I layer that 💩 up with a platinum beaded chain & a platinum pamp suisse for good measure💪🏻🔥
Me personally I’m a bigger guy I’m 6’5 375 and I have been wearing Cubans my whole life but for me its gone be a 26in 14-16mm
435 grams is too heavy for me
Thank you for this video Gus!
I really appreciate your opinions and think you have an awesome way of articulating them!
Anyone got opinions on 30inch pieces?
Hi Gus, we'd love you to list the best Handmade Miami Cuban link chains Jewelleries in town, competitors included 😊. Will you?
Im looking at a 15mm 20 inch
Can we get a review of a 10mm gold over silver Cuban please…
Why you need a review of fake plated shit? You buy the gold or you buy the silver 😂
@@lunisic because I spend my money wisely hommie…
@@lunisic Lol!!! It's not fake. It's real silver covered with real gold. Not plated gold is mixed with something. Real gold is to soft. Knowledge yourself before typing buttons.
They not making anymore GOS the 30th of November was the last of it
@@burkes63Gold Over Silver Isn’t A Wise Choice , Silver At All Isn’t A Wise Choice . Spend That Same $1000 On A Gold Chain , It Will Be Significantly Smaller And Weigh Significantly Less , However If You Go To Sell It , You’ll Get About $600-650 For It . Does That Make Sense ? People Who Buy Silver Jewelry Essentially Get Ripped Off Because You’re Gonna Pay For The Labor Regardless If You Buy Silver Or Gold , The Only Difference Is Gold Actually Holds Value And Gains Value Over Time , Where Silver Isn’t Worth Much , And Actually Loses Value Over Time . Sorry ..
I’m going to order a 9mm 25” in 22k. Thanks
I daily a 12mm chain with a 15mm bracelet, tuck it for a nice neck profile when I’m being conservative, leave it out or open the top buttons to shine!
What length?
I daily wear a 9mm 20 inch, it’s an amazing choice never gets in the way always popping out looking slick only lil thing is when going for runs it is a little annoying for sure but I’ve gotten use to it flip the lock to the bottom and you’ll be alright I will admit tho if it was any longer I imagine it couldn’t work way too obnoxious bouncing when running/ working out. Also sport a 60 gram pendent on it at times and it’s great.(100 gram chain it’s 10k)
100gm chain for 10k? Sounds like much

@@Jaynumbernine gotcha
i wear a 28" 9.3mm. its perfect i never have to open the clasp and looks mint
28 mad long
I’m probably gonna order the 10mm 22 inch. I have the 10mm 8 inch bracelet already so now just trying to figure out the chain size I should get but I think the 8mm a little too thin for me 10mm is perfect
I’m in the same position as you. For me I’m thinking a 9mm 22 inch is the sweet spot
The daily wear size is 16mm. Now that I got that accomplished, it's time to take it up to 19mm or 20mm width. And 8mm thickness. When it comes chains, bigger is better💪🏾
Facts my daily wear is a 16mm i want to upgrade to a 19mm and i think ill be fine there
@@Fabisgreat you and me both my G
Now I’m more unsure 😂 I’m thinking 7-8 mm 24inch and I don’t plan on ever taking it off. I’m gonna have to call you Gus. Lol
My daily wear is your 10mm 22 inch silver Miami Cuban link. The only time I truly notice it on my neck is when I’m laying down on my back.
