Some of the most meaningful memories I have are from when I was first ever around 1%ers. I got my first Harley Sportster when I was 16 and by the time I was 17 I had been following one of the big MC’s on Facebook and would see the flyers for the parties and decided it was time to ride out to an event. At first it was intimidating and I didn’t know if they were gonna let me in or not, the prospect at the gate asked me if I knew anyone there and I said no, then asked how old I was, they let me in but told me I wasn’t allowed to drink(obviously). It turned out to be a wonderful experience and the guys were very welcoming and friendly, at the end of the night one of the members actually wanted to call my parents to let ‘em know I was safe but I didn’t want to tell them that my parents didn’t know 😂 all in all bikers are some of the most caring and great individuals to be around. I’m 23 now and I know I’ve still gotta get my shit together a bit more financially before I’ll be able to really make it in the MC world. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s an expensive lifestyle

I dont ride, never have but the first time i ever really been around 1%ers was at a david allen coe concert in oklahoma. A certain dominant was there about 20 deep and id be lying if i said i wasnt a lttle star struck. The concert was damn good and those dudes were pretty chill. Ill always remember that night.

My first experience could have gone sideways real quick…..Back in late 2009 I began prospecting and my first week we went to a function the state dominant was hosting. Never having been around or knew anything about 💎’s before we got there, I made a poor decision. Once we arrived, right away I walked away from club and right up to the first one I saw and introduced myself…..I got my introduction wrong and I extended my hand while still wearing my gloves. Not only did I screw it up but the (eventual) Brother was the SSAA….yea 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️……he pulled me aside, corrected me, explained what I did wrong then bought me a beer.
His generosity and my attitude kept that a positive learning experience. He set me up to succeed off the rip. Once I came into a leadership role in my club, we were afforded certain perks others were not simply because of that first night and the relationship we had formed……..He made me a better Brother, but more importantly a better man……Grateful to this day for my time in the culture.
    Great video as always….Much Respect.

    Great video Danny!
My first taste of brotherhood was when I was 19. We had a group of weirdos, artists, punkrockers basicly. Before that I was always an outcast because I have been a little "different" my whole life. I can see thru these stupid behaviour boundaries that the society chackles the normal People with. I have always been about breaking boundaries of the fake act existence. And within that punkrock-group, for the first time my persona was respected, normally I was told "Dude, you're messed up."
I'm a huge music lover, and basicly when I speak about stuff I Love and care about, I get really excited, use big words and act with the feeling. I always knew that the People who put me down, they are the slaves of "normal" existence. I respect people if they respect me, I'm not better than anyone else, we're all just humans. But it effected me anyway, I thought this society and mankind Is not for my kind of People, there is something wrong with me
With these punkrockers I found my place. We were all big personas, all different, but oh boy what freedom I felt and the fun we had. I was the loud and crazy one, violent if needed.
I went To prison for few years. During that time, my Best friend, my soulmate, the human-glue that cept the crew together, the on with the True spirit, he died. I always thought that when I get out of prison, we just continue where we left. I was young and naive.
But everyone went their own ways, some started a Family, some sold their souls for drugs, the big artists wanted To become as hermits.
All fell apart. My first brotherhood. My first taste of "Us against the world" - spirit. It left a mark. A deep mark.
I had stuff To do In prison, so within time, I got passed it. I gave my son a middle name after my soulmate, so that I Will teach all the beautiful things I learned from this man. Before we met, I had an "asshole-armour" on, because of the feeling that I Will never fit In anywhere. At the same time, I met my firstlove. Those two People I am grateful Forever for helping To build me towards myself. I thought I was a tough guy, but I was just an uncertain kid who had never had the channels for his emotions. Think about it, tough guys, behind your barricades.
Anyhow, when I got out from prison, I thought I've seen it all. A was a helpful and a kind guy, but the prison had effected my ego. In Finland, it's a good thing, the prison system, if you want inmates back to society one Day, not just To torture and punish. It's not like OZ, so educate yourself, you have the chance. Some of the prisons are like kindergardens, they don't make anyone a tough guy. But if you are a snitch or a rat, the play ends there. I never went To army, but prison years were my army experience. I learned the beaty of structure and a bit militant lifestyle.
The code. In the punkrock era, I thought all the rules and disciplen were shit. 😂
Like I said, after the prison there was an arrogant Side In me. I fell back to drugs, I messed my head a got into paranoidi arguments with People I didn't trust. When came the situation, or all the situations during my years. It was not about being a tough guy anymore. It was about kill or be killed, protect your loved ones with your life, kill with bare hands if needed. Somehow the "cool" aspect of being a "tough guy", faded away. Hiding all the stress and the fear when you go see your kid, thinking that you had it all, now it's war with no certainty of surving. Keeping it cool, being the happy dad, if it's the Last time your kid sees you, so that you leave a loving memory, so that your kid would pass the same Love and warmth To his own kids. What kind of legacy would you want To leave if you knew your life would be coming To an end soon? That Is a big question.
Now looking back all of this, I understand the veterans more better. I didn't have to collect any body parts or that brutal stuff. But the presence of death. Every moment. But still you just go on. War Is not about glory, it's about doing the right thing, time after time.
It was hell. People In the drugworld have no spine, morals, anything. They will backstab and poison you.
I thought I had friends. They became enemies. Enough of that, drugs as a lifestyle, and the circle of People there, Is shit. If Love, honesty and loyalty means anything To you.
    Keep out, kids.
    Anyhow.
I Love digging into subcultures, and for me, there is something magical that veterans, with their experiences, were not given any Credit by the society, they started doing their own thing In America, after the WW2. Years, blood, sweat, tears, work, the diamonds are formed In high pressure. Now they are all over the world. Showing the middle finger To the normal levels of existence.
Be yourself, that Is what I learned.
The Key Word Is respect,To all People. If you think youre better and tougher and you can treat People like an asshole, the real ones will notice you. The People who want To be around for the wrong reasons, not even interest In bikes, just To show Off. Are usually kids with a school of life ahead of them.
That was a bit of my story and some thoughts. Point being, I related To you Danny. 🙂

Cool show . The drive to ride came from when my dad worked at a Honda dealership. I was promised to bike but never got it. Then my stepdad had a motorcycle a Yamaha 650 special.and he rode with a club( Louisville Trash). They all rode Hondas . But what really got me going is we lived in a small town that one of the big 4 road through our town on their annual run every year. As many as 100 bikes rolling down our four-lane road 80 Mi an hour in the city escorted by the state police it was one hell of a sound to listen to them bikes Rumble and scream down the road. Plus there is a family that took care of me and their dad started a motorcycle club, first Club in southern Indiana in 1952 at least that's what the newspaper article said. I also lived up the street from a support Club To a Big 4 but that Clubhouse got shot up I was out there when it happened ,it was automatic fire when no bang bang bang

My pops was a singer/comedian. Hung out at the halstead st. Harvey 81 house. Was there for a benefit dinner for a wreck a member was in. His/my family were members in the 81. Pops told a joke to a 6'4" brother. He asked in a gruff voice why bikers talk in a gravelly voice. Big brother said why? Pops said cause y'all ain't smart enough to keep your mouth closed riding, ate to many bugs. Big dude put pop's in a headlock and dragged him to the piano. Stick his knife in it and made pops carve his name into the piano. That was generous respect from a 1% because he liked the joke. People are people.

I'm a great grandmother. When I was like 17, living in the Midwest, there was a bar outside city limits that happened to be pretty close to my parent's house. I and a few other women rode our motorcycles out to this bar. There was a motorcycle gang that hung out there. Don't remember who or if they were 1% or not. But when we told them we were girls who liked girls, instead of the normal frat reaction, "well maybe you haven't been with the right guy," instead the bikers were super cool. I spent a whole summer hanging out with these guys, partying, playing tons of pool, fitting in because none of us fit in anywhere. Rode in a pack with them on two occasions and it was a blast. I had a crotch-rocket, but they didn't care. Good times.

I was actually touring with a country band and had only been with them for a month or 2. Next thing you know the door opens and I see them white diamonds come in and they are pointing right at me and walked straight up to the dance floor and it cleared in seconds. Husbands were grabbing wives, the band stops playing, Im like no no no keep going guys, this is my family they are here to see us. lmao Fun times, I partied with them guys for a few days as we had a few days off. Ain't going to lie at 23 I was a little nervous lol. I was brought to the clubhouse and immediately was mud checked.. I guess I passed because I was invited back. Been to many events helped out with the events. The club was a whole different world. I found out most of the patches we're pretty cool. And helping the prospects with different things made an impression. Because those prospects became full patches... I can honestly say I feel more at home with those guys then anywhere else.

I posted on one of your other videos how similar our two worlds are as a musician. I didnt personally go around that world untill I was probably in my mid to late 20s even though one of them was friends with my dad because my uncle was also one but he died when I was 1. I started playing a big biker bar in Memphis and I was friends with some wild ones who started it all that wore the same color as leprechauns and learned a lot about the MC world playing this place and hanging out and one of my dads old friend I had known my whole life was a member so he looked out for me and taught me a lot about the MC world. I also had gotten to know a support club for the 1%ers in TN and they later became a probationary chapter. At this point the first boss of that chapter was already a friend that I hung with quite a few times and even helped him get his bike into a bar so he could do burnouts on the dance floor because at the time it was the right thing to do in our drunken logic lmao. Fast forward a few months and he had just stepped out for family reasons but they needed a band to play their first big party as full patched 1%ers so he told them about me and I get a call and by then they are patched and Im like hell yeah I want to play that party for sure!!! This was on a Sunday night I belive. Bike night was WED and my dads friend walked in white as a ghost and sat next to me at the big biker bar because I learned they had the cheapest draft beer in town and said what have you done? I said what are you talking about? He said you need to stay neutral in this world or choose wisely, what have you done? (there was some cussing in there) I said what are you talking about? He said there are 1%ers next door asking about you, wtf have you done? Why are you ruffling feathers in their world man I cant protect you from them. About that time the VP and Sgt at Arms walk in with a probate and walk right towards me and the VP whispered in my ear, so your coming over tomorrow to talk right? I said yeah of course I cant wait. He nodded and shook my other friends hand and they left and my friend was so worried he was shaking. He didnt know I had known some of them as the previous club for awhile and of course hung out at various bars when they probated and I was told to keep my mouth shut between clubs so I did.
Next day was Thursday and I go to the worst neighborhood you could think of and see this 12 foot fence and a gate opens and they tell me where to park. As soon as I get out someone hands me a joint and Im like hell yeah!! We hit it off well, someone handed me a guitar and I started playing and we drank and drank and drank some more and in the mean time with it being their first major party I got on the phone and booked bands that entire weekend. I went home about 5am and the next day was setting up at 1PM and we had 3 bands that first day, mine included and we partied all night and I met people from all over. The next day I had 5 bands play and Sunday I had 3 bands play and I did an acoustic set so Memphis was put on the map as the clubhouse that had the nonstop bands and I earned the right to say My name is Jimmy Hudson and I handle the entertainment for the $%^&%^. We partied late Sunday night, Monday I came back to get my equipment, Tuesday I came back to see who was there and drink cheap beer, Wed I go back to hang out and it was Bike night in town and the very VP I had met for the first time the previous Wed said hell its Bike Night, our weekend begins. lmao I said you guys are the only people I have ever met that live the same life as musicians and we all went to the biker bar together and started a new weekend. lmao Unfortunately none of the original Memphis crew are still there but the club is and Im still very close friends with many of the original crew from that batch at least. The same club had 2 previous runs in town that patched over from supporters and verious reasons like many cities it came and went and came again. That chapter built a stage just for me and my bands I would bring in and to date I now have 4 clubhouses that have built a stage for my band in 2 different states. lol My one buddy that was worried came up to me about 5 years later after I had come off the road touring and saw one of our livestream videos where there were a ton of those brothers at that show and he had a big smile on his face. I looked at him and said well these guys here understand me and I understand them and you told me to stay neutral or choose wisely and they have come to my shows all over the country and supported my band and I have gotten to know many of them nationwide and Im certain I made the right choice.

You nailed it! Riding in a large pack makes you feel on top of the world. Never forget that first time on a run, my ears were ring for hours after, from the thunder of all the bikes. My first HD ride was 76 rigid Shovelhead chopper with custom paint and murals, and it was definitely old school. Looking forward to more content. Hope your feelin better. Cheers😎

In 1991 my buddy got a Honda shadow. He let me ride it around the block. I wanted a bike so bad after that. I had my fist kid not long after this. Come 28 years later kids are grown and I got my first bike. I’ve always been that guy that will introduce myself to anyone. After getting my bike I’ve went to a few rally’s bike nights etc. I’ve found that most 1%’ers are really cool dudes. Had some great conversations with them over some drinks. At 48 years old I just don’t think I could prospect. That being said 20 year old me would have absolutely been I. A club. As always Peace and love Homie.

you should make a video on why you left the club and how you left because it's not easy getting out unless you got caught up and made a deal with the feds and i don't think thats the reason you left..

That pack riding is a badass feeling when hookin it at 100 a couple feet apart. My first Harley I got from my ex father in law when he died. It is a shovel head on a paughco wishbone rigid frame that I helped him build

I was 6 or 7 years old in Tolleson, Az and my old man was a cop there and he came home one night and told us to stay in the house, well after he left outside we went then a block away an hour long procession of 81 and supporters went by I was hooked instantly, still to this day don't know what was up but it was the coolest moment for me, then my uncle put me on my first bike witch was a HD TX125 been riding ever since.

Im not going to go into detail about my first encounter with the one percenter it was an experience that was not negative yet one I am very grateful to have had. I was young, and I honestly was absolutely clueless it was let's just say eye opening in a good way for me.
I laughed at the end because everything about what you said its true we are not "normal" thankfully. I enjoy being the weirdo neighbor its honest im not trying to be somebody else I am just me. The weird new neighbor who gives you that look of oh my that guy is a freak those are usually the best. I bake them something like cookies or brownies or cake. I walk down, introduce myself, hand it to them, and say welcome. After that who knows they might stop by and show me some kindness like I did. Never know the next title to your next video might be Ride with the neighbor. Thank you Danny for sharing and keeping it one hundred 👍
