OMG you're right ! Power Stone Chars should definitely be in MVC ! It would be awesome... I really don't get why Capcom abandons these characters and refuses to make a sequel, though the Power Stone series has a wide fan base. They keep making the series pay for something it wasn't responsible for. The Dreamcast had not enough owners... so the games wouldn't sell as good as they should. But I am SURE that a Power Stone 3 with 15 new stages, 6 new chars and modern graphics would be a best seller.
When she does her power change her hair grows MUCH longer but for some reason the in-game model looks there are two long cuboids on the sides of her head(and somehow she grew talons on her already oversized hands).
4:15 A Light Stone appeared. Which makes me regret fusing the one I got from Pride in my copy even more painful (since Pride is the one who got it)and I don't know how to get another one. I heard stories that involved beating the Adventure Mode on difficulty 8(some difficulty a little bit lower than that) and get it randomly as a reward but I've yet to achieve that because of freaking Dr. Erode. I can beat the Pharaoh Walker no problem because of using it's tail laser against it by getting on top of it, I can survive the three tiers of golem things leading to Dr. Erode just by climbing the poles and jumping around but I can't beat Dr. Erode himself (sigh).
Seriously dude, the Light Stone was no joke. I spent years coming back to this game trying to get it, following the "beat level 8 adventure" advice which is what lead to this video series. I eventually got it randomly from Pride as well, and I feel we'll never know exactly how to get it reliably. As for Erode, I always just relied on getting the Power Stones asap to deal reliable damage. A few items like the Flame Rod/Three-Way Shot/etc can actually be useful for dealing damage, but for most of them it's just finding the fastest way to get rid of them to cycle more Power Stones in. It's pretty much optimizing your luck in my experience.
Vercsase So is there a chance for me to get another one from Pride or am I out of luck and have to go Difficult 8 Adventure route. Until I get a new Sega Dreamcast I can't go back and play Power Stone 2 to even try.
IIRC it should drop during Adventure Mode if it's in your item book, but the chance will be very low the fewer of the item you have available. I honestly don't know if Pride can give you another one, but if he still randomly appears when visiting the shop then I don't see why not.
Vercsase As I mentioned before in the starting comment. I fused the one I got from Pride. I remembered fusing with a Sword trying to make a "Dragon Slayer" but I think it failed(or probably turned into something else) and I regretted it very hard. Given the fact that I fused a "Level 7" item. I should've of waited until I had gotten other items to fuse to make the "Dragon Slayer".
Oh definitely. I think all the stages are about equally fun, and I think Blue Sky along with the submarines are the best/my favorite concepts. The stage I like least is "probably" the space stage, if only because the second floor is designed a bit weird; I love the first and top floors though. Coincidentally, that stage is the one I avoid second to most for Adventure Mode since the elevator is really cramped and, again, I always have the worst of luck with the second floor.
I always have horrible luck with Blue Sky. The first part really lacks any room to move around and doesn't have any walls to safe-slide down or jump off of. Not to mention the AI just loves to fill the screen with all sorts of missiles and nonsense, so it ends up being a game of chance at surviving it with mostly anyone outside of Gunrock with his OP dropkick. The skydive can be frustrating too, but I actually have a pretty smooth time if I can ever reach the ground with good health, haha.
Oh! So that's why!... So, outside of level 8 Adventure mode where you've to be in perfect control, do you like this area? (It was the first stage I ever fight on in this game, might be why I like it so much xD)
+yoshi45 As far as I know it's luck. The Merry-Go-Round is pretty risky in most cases you use it since it lasts so long, so it's really just risk VS. reward. Sometimes you'll get the chance to see his next attack while you're in mid-air before using it, but like the great luck I had with Power Stones in this video a lot of the time it comes down to what hand the game deals you.
@Vercsase Out of date in the sense this video was posted over a year ago. No need to be offended or sarcastic implications. And taking the risk is what makes a game fun. It doesn't have to be some studied or some perfected scientific practice.
@gggewd How is this out of date....? Some characters (Julia, Galuda, etc.) don't need to use the tail to win, and instead they can attack the head from under the neck while also getting rid of the one enemy that can cause harm with the homing shots. There's no reason to use the tail if the character can do this since getting up to the tail is much riskier and much less consistent than this method. Especially at level 8.
@gggewd I was neither offended or sarcastic. I feel "out of date" implies that something is both old and irrelevant. While the former is relatively true, there are no other videos I know of making this series obsolete. And believe me, I wouldn't play this if I wasn't having fun. But going with something guaranteed is much better than getting frustrated at easily preventable repeat losses; I keep it simple when I can. If it makes a difference, nearly every other character used the laser
You really hate Blue Sky don't you lol? I haven't seen you taking this area even ONCE and I've seen nearly everyone now xD Concerning the subject here... Julia... I still can't stand her appearance. I just don't like cutie-blondie-ditzie-princess-ish female character. Especially the "blondie-ditzy" aspect lol and her Power Change is weird as fuck BUT I must admit it's original ^^ He just is basically a "swan-lady" in this form xD
even though this is an out of date video, how come you don't take advantage of the Sphinx boss's tail? Fastest and easiest way to take him down, no matter what difficulty.
Yeah I don't particularly dig the Space Station. I've a lot less fun fighting on that one... and.. is it possible to kill the alien xD? Me and my friend tried it so hard back in 2001... weird isn't it?
I still remember this game on the arcade machine! Still brings back memories~

13:30 Hope☺️
JUILA ON A MOTOR???
When she does her power change her hair grows MUCH longer but for some reason the in-game model looks there are two long cuboids on the sides of her head(and somehow she grew talons on her already oversized hands).
I remember playing this game way back. Wow. Love it.
How is this even possible...
This time with Julia eh? Talk about intense!

Does anybody knows how to get all the item mixes

I always have trouble at Erode with his bugs when I'm doing the merry-go-round. Is it just luck in this case? He seems to spam them on me..
