- Testing out TH-cam's new 15 minute videos, and also this is me starting my very FIRST TH-cam request. Before ranting, I have to say that I skipped all the yapping the characters & narrator do, and I had to edit all of the transitions between stages out (which is really just a repeat of the tunnel sequence with a map, w/e). This video was ready a few days ago, but I guess i got lucky that TH-cam decided to be more generous with their changes.
For those who don't know, Power Stone was a full 3D fighting game exclusive to the SEGA Dreamcast, and to be honest one of my favorites *still waiting for PS characters to be announced for MvC3*. The sequel, Powerstone 2, removed much of the finer and skillful mechanics of the first game and made it into more of a party game, what with an entire book of items to use, more characters, and the introduction of moving stages.
It's hard to appreciate as a fighting game, but imo it's a top notch party game. That being said the 1 player adventure mode can be tough at the highest level (8), what with the game's cheap A.I. and damage outputs there.
Falcon, the..."hero"..if you would, has the easiest time with it though, imo. His Power Fusion (super, w/e) Power Explosion is ranged and does a ton of damage if the missiles all direct towards one person. His Power Rocket is good for one on one situations, but not much else. With a double jump and decent speed, strength, and defense, he makes level 8 a cakewalk.

For the rest of the characters, I plan to cut out the long portion between the start of the final level and the final boss. All it is is dodging the stupid lego men for like 3 minutes smh

@Robocheeseball701 It depends who you're playing, honestly. The main reason you should power up is so the A.I. doesn't get the chance to. It's easy to take them one-on-one without it, but it also helps keeping them controlled and eliminating the more troublesome characters quickly. Items and good catching/dodging abilities also go a long way. The A.I. does ridiculous damage compared to the player.
If anyone didn’t hear, Capcom got their data leaked and from the leaks it says a Power Stone remake will happen 2024 Quarter 4. I hope it doesn’t get cancelled.
Same here, also I think you mean Quarter 3, not Quarter 4.

And here we are. power stone 1 and 2 for the Capcom fighting collection. Not a remake but it'll be nice to have released on console and PC.
Falcon’s mistle move was literally the best on damage level 4!!!!

@cheongnara I think I've only done it with Falcon, Pride, and maybe Gunrock. To be honest like you said it is nearly impossible even with constant Power Stones spawning. The time limit just doesn't give you enough opportunity to cause damage.
you can do it with Pete also and Julia even with Ayane
@number090684 - That was biggest disappointment ever when I heard that! Capcom has got to give Power Stone fans something!
Fun fact, Falcon in the games is voiced by Ryou Horikawa

I hate to say it, but IIRC the MvC3 director said there wouldn't be any Power Stone characters in MvC3 in one of the interviews. I forgot which one it was though...

I am currently on difficult 7, the Power Fusion does seem to hit harder as you crank you the difficult

Can you complete level 8 with damage 2?
It seems that it is very hard for the last stage because there is not enough time to kill the boss....
They should make Power Stone 3.
@number090684 That's to bad. Admittedly the styles clash, but they could easily make it work. Capcom has a lot of characters they're not using though.
I could barely beat this on the mid difficulties just because of the time limits on the bosses. I must still be missing some of the weapons :/
Cheesing the computer with Falcon's specials seems to be pretty effective, though. I should try that. I didn't even know you could pilot the Pharaoh Walker!
The fighting system is oversimplified, but it's still fun repeatedly stomping on your friends until they ragequit. Pete is a cheap lil' asshole.
You pretty much have to get Super-Sayan mode every time if you want to beat Level 8, eh?
