    This is a good tutorial. simple and easy to follow. Takes away some of the pain expressed in the other comments. Simply watch the video. The thermostat is pretty damn smart...lol...Now catch up to it by watching the video... Don't be afraid of progress.

    Thank you for the tutorial, I appreciate the insight. I've go to say that in 2023 I am incredulous that this company has managed to keep programing a thermostat a mind numbing experience and also keep their own tutorials so incredibly terrible. Just like a nest of buzzing bees, I'll be moving in other direction from this Ecobee. Again, thank you, you are doing God's work.

    Just a juiced up version of a programmable thermostat. Thank you. Not going to do what I need it to do.

    Do the extra sensors cause the AC to run more frequently?

    I got this piece of crap when I bought my new house. Why does it have to be so freaking complicated. The fucking heat doesn't even want to go on and it's set at 63 degrees and doesn't want to go any higher. So disappointed

    On vacation mode in Florida, the cool setting will not go above 77. I would like 80 or 82. What am I doing wrong?

    I hate it. I work from home. I’m home most of the time. I just want it to be set to one temperature. For example, I want to set it to 70 all the time. If it’s colder than 70, turn the heat on or stop cooling. If it’s hotter than 70, turn the air on or stop heating. Like a normal old school thermostat. How do I do that?

      I have a new one and I hate it too. Too many reasons to list. I live in the desert and my skin is so dry with this piece of junk, it’s peeling and my lips are cracked despite constant hydrating. I’m willing to pay to have my AC tech come take the darn thing out!

    • @pre4122
      @pre4122 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@alohaannie5076 I did find in the settings a way to reduce the temp differences on auto from 5 degrees to two degrees, something that I was told was impossible to do by the home seller. So you can set it to auto, and say 70 to 72, for example, then the heat will turn on if it falls below 70, and the air will turn on if it gets above 72. But I feel like overall, I'd rather just have an old school thermostat.

      @@pre4122 Thank you. Yes, I'm tech savvy and had already researched Calibration. Even that hasn't work. Sigh

      @jmairnheat  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alohaannie5076 Sounds like you have bigger problems than just the thermostat. If the air is that dry, you may have other issues. You can also try using a humidifier.

    • @jmairnheat

      You cannot have the heat and cool set for the same temperature. You have to have a separation of at least 2 degrees, 5 or 6 degrees is better.
      This is to prevent rapid back and forth heating and cooling on the same system, which is not good for the equipment.

    I am a landlord and one of my tenants put this thermostat in their unit. I cannot tell you how much I hate it. All of my tenants that have been in this unit complain about it. They shouldn’t have to watch a 15 minute tutorial to learn how to work a thermostat. It’s too complicated. I don’t recommend it. I’ve got better things to do than watching tutorials.

    So basically are you not stopping thermostat. We always run scheduling different mode of timings. Does thermostat stop during away mode.

    • @jmairnheat

      No. You have to program a temperature.
