    Sounds like the makings of a larger piece!! Grey stuff

      Thanks Simon! At some point this stuff will be part of something larger. For the moment, I'm mostly trying different ideas and then having a lot of fun with the Multigrid and performance. Performing sound effects has become something I really love doing!

    Somehow I never heard about the Kyma system even after thinking I had seen it all in music production tools - I've been feeling so bored of the processes I had learned of sound design that I was thinking of leaving the hobby altogether, but finding this technology makes me feel SO excited again
    Sorry for the random 4 AM rant on your vid, but I just can't believe this alien-tech has been blessed to us from Symbolic Sound

    Sounds quite useful for videogame sounds. Are you using a Pacamara or your CPU?

    • @SpectralEvolver
      @SpectralEvolver  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, I agree! Neither actually. I'm using the previous generation of hardware from Symbolic Sound-the Pacarana. Kyma needs its proprietary hardware to process the audio so the CPU isn't even an option. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have more questions. Cheers!

      @@SpectralEvolver Do you know if these hardware solutions are using SHARC chips as the UAD Apollo devices?

      @@SaccoBelmonte That I do not know.

    Can you export a sound designed in Kyma to be used in another program, say in my case, Renoise?

    • @SpectralEvolver
      @SpectralEvolver  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You can certainly export a .wav, .aiff etc. (the "final" realized sound and do whatever you want to it from there-import it to Renoise for example), but the Kyma sound algorithm itself will not run without the Kyma hardware.

      @@SpectralEvolver I guess that was a stupid question on my part, haha.
      Ahwell, I wish Kyma had some kind of tracker interface within its ecosystem in order for me to capitalize on the sound algorithm with the APU.
      Thanks for the timely response!
