    Hi friends :) I’m Malik,, the guy in the orange shirt. I do things like this video alot and I normally don’t comment. However, I feel the need to say abuse of any kind from any gender is not okay. No one has to subject themselves to that. If I, a male, am on the giving side of abuse of any kind, my partner should leave me. If it is vice versa, and I am on the receiving end of any kind of abuse, then I should leave him/her.
    Period. It’s that simple. It IS black and white. Abuse of any kind = wrong and you have every right to protect yourself from it.
    And adoption isn’t any less special than having your own kids. My heart is heavy for all the people who may have watched this that have longed for kids that can’t have them. Your adopted kid IS special. I will be adopting my kids as well 🫶🏾

      Malik I really admire you and the way you made your points. I was going to ask Brian if you had a channel because I want to hear more of what you have to say especially because of your background in the church and theology.

    • @1ofTheChosen

      Lol Malik, you swear something heinous was said about adopting. Your hearts heavy? Sure. You can’t claim that having an adopted kid is “just as special” as a couple who CREATES life through sex. You can’t make that claim because one you’ve never adopted a child and two as a homosexual you will never be able to create life so how can you know what creating life feels like if you’ve never experienced it and might never? Don’t play this virtue signaling game.
      Second, it’s not surprising that you believe “you should leave” your partner due to “any abuse.” Really? So just give up when feeling abused? This is awful advice from a Christian. Someone could “feel abused” by simply cooking and cleaning and never getting a thank you from their spouse. Someone could feel abused because their spouse is insecure and wants to be attached to their spouses hip. There’s a lot of scenarios that can be made up and called “abuse” and your advice is leave if you feel any type? That’s wild. But, I understand why you say it because YOU couldn’t handle emotional abuse and YOU couldn’t handle physical abuse from a woman half your size. I’m a man, so I can find it hard to understand the physical abuse from a woman half your size and I can also find it difficult to understand why therapy to work through emotional abuse isn’t a viable option. Even people dealing with physical abuse can explore helpful options before divorce.
      I agree, abuse is not ok. Physical, mental, whatever you find truly abusive is not okay. I also think ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING can be healed THROUGH JESUS. You call that “conversion therapy” to which I question your belief in the healing power of Jesus. Conversion therapy and believing in the power of Jesus is NOT the same thing. So to make that comparison it makes me wonder who you think Jesus is if you doubt His ability to heal and restore all.
      Stop the virtue signaling. No one said abuse is okay. No one said adopting isn’t special. So your heart doesn’t need to be “heavy” over things that were never said. If your points were grounded in truth, you wouldn’t need to come to the comments to virtue signal.
      Btw, this is probably the first time I can say I’m happy I’m a short man because if I were tall and sharing my opinion on struggling to believe a man CAN NOT do anything to stop the physical abuse of a woman, I know you’d attack that opinion based on me being a big man. That I can prevent it because I’m big. But I’m not a big man, yet I still have this opinion. You’re just triggered by it bc you’re a big man talking about how a woman half your size “abused you” and there was nothing you could do about it apparently, not even therapy. And if you did try therapy and they were still a monster, then that goes back to my original point with it sounding like they aren’t truly following Jesus since their tree bears bad fruit.
      You don’t even seem to believe in the power of Jesus the way I do anyway so who cares. You call it conversion therapy.
      Try and remember that you chose to share these things for the internet to see so my comment shouldn’t send you over the top. This is literally what you signed up for. To share and be commented on.

      @@1ofTheChosen Bud, this is my last comment to you. I have an actual life lol.
      But this comment made 0 sense at all. Like none. No one is virtue signaling when all the comments say the same thing about you. Do you really lack that much awareness?
      There are many points that I could make to show that this makes 0 sense but I’m over the conversation.
      It’s really very simple, you’re a narcissist that attempts to hide under a fake banner of Christianity. And you’re such a narcissist, that you think your worldview of Christianity is the way. I know you’re new here to Christianity so you have a whole lot of zeal. You think you know it all. lol. But God NEVER promised people to “heal or deliver” them from being gay in the natural worldly way that you’re trying to claim. lol.
      But you’re right, if you serve a Jesus that tells you to get on the internet and advocate for men and women to stay in abusive relationships and that adoption isn’t “as special” as creating a child, we don’t serve the same Jesus. And I’m 1000% okay with that.
      P.S, I’m bisexual, henceforth having a wife lol. So I CAN create kids 😂.

      @@1ofTheChosenyou literally give short man energy. You don’t have to compensate for your height through dickheadary. I see you consistently commenting under all comments to justify your bigotry and in one such comment you claimed feminists will one day roll their eyes when abuse against men is a topic of discussion, however your fucked up belief that somehow being a man and having more testosterone leaves you immune to abuse literally perpetuates that notion that abuse against men shouldn’t be taken seriously. Men can and HAVE been abused, you need to stop speaking from the perspective of an able short white balding middle aged man for a second and realize that there are nuanced life experiences ALL around you. There are people who look like you with mental disabilities that are left vulnerable to emotional manipulation from their wives. This will and HAS happened in the past. That is just one example of the different VARIATIONS of men who cannot essentially “stand up” to their smaller wife. Your argument about having bigger muscles and testosterone is also shit because it would imply that if two men were to fight, the bigger and more physically fit would automatically win due to their build over the smaller dude when in fact we know that smaller men have beat bigger men many times in the past. People like you only learn reason from experience so you literally just need a woman to beat the fuck out of you to realize that women are also humans capable of abuse, torture and murder. I don’t know if you believe female prisons are just institutions for female vanity and makeup tutorials???? First things first, I come from a tall family and I am 6,5 and my LITTLE sister is 5,11 and older sister 6,1. We have definitely fought over the years as many siblings have and that girl (older) has beat my ass up many times. Are you to imply that if she were to be married and abusive she couldn’t do the same to her husband?? Noooo instead I know your response to this would be some shitty sentiment that since she is tall she would only marry a taller man so she would still be weaker, because u said ur self “is this woman really that big to be beating you up as a man, could never be me personally” so I’m taking that as you would never be with a taller woman. That is all bs cuz whatever happened to love? If my sister fell in love with a shorter man then ur argument would be complete shit. Like ur a grown man who heard a man was abused in his marriage but instead of feeling sympathy you put the words abuse in quotation marks. I hate the way you interpret the bible and faith as this concept of laws and regulations that control our daily lives, as opposed to a community of faith and love being encompassed through the very mouths and actions of its believers. But you just SAY it’s that way but you do not prove it with the way you are so quick to criminalize gays though there have been various interpretations over the years pertaining to homosexuality. “Man must not lay with BOY” is one interpretation I have heard that actually refers to pedophilia. And you claimed yourself “they were doing a lot of things” in sodom and Gomorrah to be labeled as sexually deviant but you choose to latch on to your homophobic beliefs. Sure let’s further interpret the fact that the bible says owning slaves is ok, premarital sex is an abomination, eating crawfish is punishable by stoning to death, tattoos are a sin as you are defiling your temple.. just some examples that heterosexual Christians live to Re interpret out of their desire and CHOICE to do those things. But you draw the line at gay people who HAVE NO CHOICE and preach that they should deny themselves happiness for the rest of their lives and die alone due to their “undesired desires” it’s soooo easy for privileged people like you to put gay people in those boxes. “Yea just don’t act on it”…. For life tho?? From the Same man that says even kissing is inherently lustful and you always derive sexual pleasure from kissing so you just want gays to be denied a whole life experience. Marriage is NOT reserved to just Christian’s I was so upset to hear you say that and no one say anything back, there is a reason not all marriages take place in the church, you have to know that countless cultures and beliefs around marriage exists. It’s not just wear one scary white gown, wear one treacherous black suit then say through sickness and health but actually be coming from a place of abuse and neglect instead?? And then when such a union happens and that sacred bond is broken.. they must remain married?? Like??? Re iterating your points is making me physically scratch my head wondering how at your big age you think the way you do. “ I don’t wanna be mean but call it something else” are you insane? The only sensible STRAIGHT person there was the blonde dude cuz y’all seem to think Christianity is a VIP club. When you yourselves can’t even get in 😂 all sins are equal in the holy book with an exception for blasphemy so miss tattoo and mr negative thoughts,(and probably premarital sex, probably a seafood eater) HELL for you🔥 and no we will not be discussing it and no you will not be saved because you continue to commit these acts knowing it goes against Gods will. Do I sound unreasonable?? I’m speaking like you?? A theological warden 💀

      She has so much judgement in her expressions. Like around the 25:30 mark when the one guy was saying his friend told him that God loves him because he's gay, not despite it. I truly can't wrap my head around why she feels the need to look at the others like she's so above them. In her mind everything seems to be black a white and she thinks there's no way she'd be put in a situation where she'd sin in certain ways. Like girl, people can become abusive after you get married. Child abuse can occur during marriage. Rape can occur during marriage. This is why it's so hard for people to feel welcomed as new Christians...if I were in an abusive marriage, I would not know how to follow a God who would want me to stay in that marriage.
      I feel that she hasn't experienced enough hardships because she has no empathy for this sort of stuff.

      I’m case you didn’t know Christianity is not a religion, it’s a relationship. Even still… you left Christianity because of the flaws you see in a human and so you blame God because of it? You say God is either unjust or is not real because you disagree with a person as if you don’t have your own struggles and flaws? How is this Gods fault? Make it make sense. If you were truly ever a Christian than instead of leaving the faith and quitting, you would actually seek God first despite what the world says and what others say. In any case, that young lady did not say one thing that contradicted the Bible whereas every other person there said multiple things that go against scripture so if you wanna blame her and say that all the problems with Christianity are because of people like her, then to that I must suggest that maybe you’re the problem. Clearly you didn’t know much about Christianity to begin with so any opinions you have about Christianity are at the end of the day your views and what you think about things instead of what God thinks about things and what the Bible says. Don’t blame God for the mistakes of man because that is exactly what Jesus died to save us from.

      @@kaylanicole5126 personally, I like to discuss my relationship with Jesus as well as understand the other’s relationship. That way, I can judge them off the fruit their tree bears. And if they don’t demonstrate actions that align with their words while I’m getting to know them, then that would be a red flag for me. It’s so easy to say words, which is why someone could be mislead by someone else saying all of the right words. But words without action are meaningless. So if someone ended up in an abusive relationship with a “Christian”, I would wonder if they were ever truly a Christian to begin with or if they were just wearing Christianity like a hat. There’s A LOT of people who identify as Christian yet they’ll regularly talk about people behind their back. There’s a lot of people who identify as Christian yet they’ll judge others and deny them heaven as if they are the gatekeepers when truly the only way is Jesus. If you ever encounter someone who claims to be a Christian yet they don’t resemble Jesus even the slightest, I promise you they are not Christian. The easiest way to know who is really trying to follow Jesus and who just claims it with their words, is to read the New Testament yourself. That way you can know the truth yourself and you can judge righteously whenever you come across a “Christian” that doesn’t resemble the teachings of Jesus.
      As far as church molestation goes and so on and “choosing” that church, abuse happens everywhere. It’s not just a Catholic Church thing. And again I would ask “are they Christian?” The answer would clearly be no.

      We’re also told to repent. By definition that means to stop doing the sins that we know to be a sin. If it was 100% obviously not a sin to be gay, then we wouldn’t have people go from homosexual to heterosexual or people detransition who say it was all done through Jesus. You mean to tell me all of those claims are lies? That they were forced to change? If that’s your angle, then one could argue the same for why someone indulges their homosexual desires. Did society entice them?
      I’m sure there’s a lot of homosexuals who feel that being gay isn’t right yet they continue. Also, maybe I’m wrong. I’m not gay so I don’t know. My point is that if it’s revealed to the person that their homosexuality is a sin, they are then called to repent. If they don’t, just like with any sin, we are then willfully living in our sin and then one could question whether or not someone is truly following Jesus by simply judging the fruit of their tree. This is 100% a logical thought process.

There have been many cases where people go to conversion therapy and get "fixed" just to come out decades later and admit that they, in fact, have not changed. I feel that something a lot of people fail to remember is that not everyone believes in God. Saying "homosexuality is a sin" or "you're going to hell" means absolutely nothing if the person you're saying it to does not believe in such things. @@1ofTheChosen It's interesting how you may read the Bible, but you can't seem to understand the context in which it was written. I'm not about to sit here an deny that there weren't same sex relations in ancient times and yet because they were written of you assume that they understood the difference between an act versus that of a sexual orientation (they didn't) . Sodom was about inhospitality unto another and more specifically rape just like the companion story in Judges. In Leviticus, man shall not lie with a man as they do with woman, but no one seems to understand English or human biology, because it's physically impossible. It's amazing how Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:19 applies to me and my community, but the rest of it doesn't apply to you, cherry picker. The Hebrew doesn't say this. Romans 1 was speaking of idolatrous acts. In Corinthians, Paul was speaking of male prostitution as in Timothy. Some of us who study the Bible professionally would know this. There are plenty of biblical scholars on TH-cam who can help you. I think it's interesting how you'd call yourself a follower of Christ, but would much rather follow one of the 4 authors of the Torah and Paul. Paul died for no one's sins, let alone the being son of God.
      In Matthew 7, it's asks why do you look for the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye and not see the plank in your own? And it continues judge and you will be judged and by the same measure. In Matthew 23, it states closing the doors to heaven unto others, you only close the doors unto yourself. In Luke, the Pharisee says, I'm a sinner, but I'm not x, y, or z and the tax collector just asks for forgiveness because he's a sinner. For it's better to be the tax collector. In 2 Romans 1, it says condemn and you'll be condemned. In James 2:10, when you've broken one, you've broken them all. For you see, no one sin is greater or lesser than another.
      Repeating lies that someone else told you and how you should perceive them to be, doesn't make them right anymore than yourself. To you there are 6, to me there are none when pertaining to homosexuality as an orientation. Homosexuality wasn't a word until the mid 19th century. Until we have the originals (because we don't) , I'll live my life. The only difference is I'm not telling others what to do, when to or how to, because I'm not their master or lord or their God, but I will most certainly love my neighbor (Leviticus 19) as difficult sometimes that may be and my God.
      PS The act of repentance isn't supposed to make our fellow man happier, just God.

It could also be that they're being manipulated into staying in the relationship, that it's okay for the wife to beat the man, that if the man does anything they'll go to hell (assuming they're christian since that was what they talked about in the video). Well, first off, I’m a man so my opinion on men being “beat up” by women is rooted in the fact that I’m a man and I can assure there is no woman I would find myself in a relationship with capable of beating me up. One, because I’m a man with testosterone so naturally I’m stronger and two, I have larger muscles than a woman. Those are fair reasons as to why I question how it’s possible for a man his size to get physically abused by a woman he said was basically up to his belly button. If it’s emotional abuse, I then would suggest therapy before giving up. There’s a lot of options especially when it comes to mental abuse. Physical abuse is tougher bc no one should be getting hit by anyone, but as a man I can assure you I can prevent a woman from “beating me up” and I can make this claim with certainty because I’m a man. Are you a man? If not, then you truly don’t know and if you are a man then I’d wonder how many women you’ve encountered in your life who beat you up and there was nothing you could do about it. Are these 6 foot tall, 250 pound women beating you up? Even then I would assume you could run away from those large women lol. Don’t be mad at me for being a man and having questions and even doubt about a man getting beat up by a woman half their size. I’m blue hat guy btw 😘😏❤️

      @TheIluAmin ปีที่แล้ว +16

      You just making that comment about emotional abuse shows how ill informed you are and okay to speak on things you know not about. Ignorance is bad enough but having confidence and ignorance is dangerous. I myself have not been through anything I would consider abuse, in a relationship, however I am a mental health professional and I have heard many people tell me that emotional abuse is worse than physical. Is this a subjective opinion? Maybe. But this is just a small example of why your version of Christianity is the bane of Christianity’s existence.

    • @1ofTheChosen
      @1ofTheChosen ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheIluAmin when I said “physical abuse is tougher” in my previous comment, I meant it in the sense of “more difficult”. I should have said that instead. And what I mean by physical abuse is more difficult is that there aren’t as many options to help through it. Physical abuse being a tougher situation to make a good case for, although one can be made, is what I was saying. If it’s a man being physically abused, one it’s hard for me to believe and two, therapy is a good option. Because I truly believe it’s unlikely the man is just being manhandled by this woman who’s beating him up. This is a hypothetical, not aimed at anyone. And I feel this way bc I’m a man.
      Emotional abuse can be treated with therapy and hopefully together as a couple so the one causing the harm can hopefully hear it and process it to make the changes necessary. As a therapist, I’m sure you believe we’re all capable of change, yes? And wouldn’t you also agree that experience is the best teacher? So if you’ve never been in an abusive relationship then how can you condemn my opinion on your assumption that I’ve never been in an abusive relationship? That’s not fair, right?
      “My Christianity” isn’t harming anyone at all. In fact, I’m certain my words aren’t harming anyone because nothing I’ve said isn’t coming from emotion with the intent to hurt people but it’s coming from what I believe to be logical truths which is why I can explain myself. If I’m wrong, then I can be corrected by anyone sharing greater logic to disprove me. Not with emotion, but logic. I truly believe I’m at least accurately sharing who Jesus is with my words even if my physical actions don’t always match Jesus.

My grandad was a religious minister in South Africa and my mom's side of the family is Greek Orthodox. Everyone on my dad's side thinks I'm going to hell and I don't have contact with them. I think after watching this it became apparent that the younger Christians either haven't lived long enough or were never taught about the atrocities of Christianity. Some people said that a lot of these hypotheticals weren't happening. For example, to those who think that way, please go and learn about Christianity in Ireland, the atrocities the church committed and what happened to all those poor girls and babies. There is no God in many religious places. The Church often interprets the bible and turns faith into something hateful. I believe God is in love and can be found everywhere. I also believe that both my fiancé (a man) and I are going to Heaven.

This video claims everyone is a Jesus follower but clearly everyone in the video is not since mostly everyone in the video is in disagreement except for TWO of the Jesus followers in the video.
      Also, a surrogate birth for a homosexual couple still isn’t considered natural or even “biologically theirs” since a homosexual couple only has HALF of the resources required to create life. Two men would still need the egg of a woman and two women will still need the seed from a man. If in the future you’re able to have an artificial seed or an artificial egg as a filler, then that still isn’t natural or even biologically natural so your claim about surrogacy for homosexual couples being equal or “just as special” is false. You can’t claim something to be equal to an experience you have never and might never experience. That’s like me saying I know how it feels to be a woman simply because I’ve put on a dress and grown my hair out. No. There’s far more that goes into it.

      Nothing Paul wrote pushes anyone away? People have used Paul's writing for centuries to deny women an equal place in the church. We know that Jesus loved and respected women. • @1ofTheChosen
      @1ofTheChosen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@originalslicey it isn’t denying women anything. The Bible also states that the man is the head of the house. That’s why women aren’t allowed to be preachers. My assumption for this is it is to prevent disagreements and because often, women are more emotionally charged than men. There’s no room for “emotional arguments” when sharing the word of God. Only what’s written and the facts of what’s written. How are women being held back other than them not
      Being allowed to be the heads of a church?
      Also, I said nothing written in the Bible is bad, I didn’t specify Paul alone. Homosexuality being an abomination is from the Old Testament and Jesus said He didn’t come to do away with the law but to fulfill it. That not a single dot or iota will be changed. Homosexuality is just one example of people struggling to deny their sin. We also are told to not be drunks and I guarantee you there’s people who struggle with alcohol just as much as people struggle with homosexuality. The logic is one produces life and the other does not. A man can not create life with another man; and the same for a woman with a woman. Look at nature all around you. Every living species is designed to procreate and if they don’t, they no longer exist. In the beginning, God made man and woman. Why? To populate the earth. You wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for a man and a woman, that goes for me too and everyone alive today. We exist bc a man and a woman created us.
      God designed us for a reason and a homosexual relationship goes against that design. If I’m wrong then feel free to provide a logical rebuttal. If someone feels pushed away from God due to their sin, that truly is biblical and falls on them. There’s sin I had to quit that was hard for me and everyday is a process.

    • @originalslicey
      @originalslicey ปีที่แล้ว +12

      First of all, women can absolutely be preachers. Sects of Christianity that don't allow this are patriarchal and sexist. MEN decided not to let women preach. God didn't decide this. Jesus didn't say this. There are many examples in the Bible of women holding leadership positions above men. Women preachers, prophets, judges, teachers, ministers, evangelizers. You don't have to look farther than Mary Magdalene to see how much Jesus valued women and their EQUAL place in the church!
      There are only seven passages in the Bible which MIGHT relate to homosexuality. Scholars agree that most of these used to condemn homosexuality are wrongly interpreted. Biblical exegesis requires us to look at Biblical passages in context. In the time they were written, who was being addresses, what the original language meant, in the context of the rest of the passage and any related passages. You can't just take a line out of the Bible and assume you know what is meant by it. You mention equating it to other sins, but I don't believe it's a sin at all. Homosexuality isn't just a practise. It's an identity. We understand sexual identity today the way they didn't in ancient times. Procreation is not the only reason people marry. It's also not a reward for being married.
      You say to look at nature for proof. If you actually looked to nature you would find numerous examples of homosexuality in the animal kingdom. There's even intersex and transsexual examples in the animal kindgom! Natural biological variations of the more typical cisgender and heterosexual orientations - just like humans!
      You say in the beginning, "God made man and woman....to populate the Earth." Did he? Are you sure? The story of Adam and Eve isn't literal, after all. It's an allegory. A Creation story that doesn't originate in Christianity. Just like nature keeps plugging along even when some animals exhibit homosexual behaviour, humanity is more than capable of populating the earth even if every single man and woman don't choose to procreate.@@1ofTheChosen

Like... why does that even matter? Abuse is in my eyes even worse than cheating. So, if your spouse kills someone you have to stay married to them? If they beat you up, you have to be afraid to go to hell if you divorce them? Some people really should think about their standards. And, how naive is Natalie? Like, does she actually think people get married to someone knowing they are child abusers? These things most of the time only come out after marriage. And then laughing at the question what if her spouse turns out gay or trans. I didn't know I was omnisexual until my mid-twenties. Other people are even too afraid to admit their sexuality and go into pretend relationships. Seriously, that girl needs to grow up and get some life experience. The happiness, self love, the acceptance of learning to actually love and accept others, the spiritual serenity of knowing what my core beliefs really were and how they had nothing to do with the cult; the release of so much hate and judgement, not thinking im self righteous or belittling others to guilt them into religious misery, the ability to think for myself, have boundaries and self respect because im not filled with guilt that somebody is taking advantage of my faith, true empathy that isn't driven by a potential punishment...... Yeah, all those things came once i decided to live my best life, away from a religion. Honestly, i think god/ Jesus is pretty much the equivalent of a nebulous tyrant father that went out for milk 2,000 years ago, who promised to come back; but really, he just abandoned all his kids🙄😂

    There’s a difference in walking in sin and falling in sin. As Christian’s we should remember this. When you’re following Christ, you have to lay down your worldly desires and pick up your cross. Jesus was so peaceful and kind. But one thing people forget is that Jesus was also honest and bold. These are qualities that Christian’s need. One of Jesus many names is The Lion of Judah.

    Your videos are just wholesome. Its just so very nice seeing people come together to discuss something which they sure know beforehand they wont agree with each other. And this is how you get more openminded - by listening, thinking and accepting there are people who think differently and that‘s okay and no reason to start a fight over - because it‘s actually a good thing and you could see that we all have something in common even though we are on different sides of the page. That’s the pinacle of communication. It just gotten a rare thing people doing this I feel. Disagreeing each other without involving emotion and starting hatred about what is right and what not.

But each has their own assignment known only to father God. We had to obey our step father absolutely and he could do no wrong and would not let my mother get a divorce to end the cycle. All because the Bible said so.. Jesus said so. Sometimes, when I'm in a pessimistic mood, I come to think that the fear of sexuality is used by so many religions because no one could ever live up to the standarts, so people have a guilty conscience about it, allowing them to be more easily manipulated and controlled.
    Sidenote: If one thinks kisses were not sexual, they need more practise....

    I find so much similarities with the lad in orange. I became a Christian at 17, then experienced God in ways I never thought possible, saw the supernatural, would live to read the bible, study it, proclaiming Jesus and his word. I also got married. But I always had same sex attractions, I would pray away the gay, I would fast and pray, I would cry out for 'deliverance', but it never came to me (the 'gay' was never taken away). Eventually, my ex wife turned out to be a lesbian who had repressed those feelings all her life, me being unaware of this. Eventually, this broke us. All I know is what jesus answers to his disciples at the sermon on the mount. Matthew 19:23-26. When you read what Jesus says, you realise we will always fall short. Especially when it comes to adultery/coveting in the heart. You will fall short. And we can never be saved by our own graces, even if I am a straight married man believing in Christ. Ultimately, He is the one who can save and not my actions. Ans how dare I dictate who God decides to save or not, especially when they believe He is the way, the truth and life.
    And guys, stop hating on the straight Christians! They have never been in our shoes so it's hard for them to comprehend fully what it's like and to empathize with us. Let's love them, as Christ loves them and loves us.

  • @Relesui
    @Relesui ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Tbh the girl blew my mind.. the guy was even worse though. Blatant sexism and trying to make things more personal to win the interpersonal conversations. On top of this, he believes that his Bible has never been changed… I think we all know the Bible was changed even by the simple translation.. and there’s a reason why there are so many different versions of the Bible. Believing that LGBTQ+ people belong in hell because of their sexuality is so archaic and repressive. It is a personable choice based on happiness that cements love as a necessity in life. It’s okay to love or not love, not once was it said that a straight person can be alone but they referred to “loneliness”. These personal connections are part of the human situation. Additionally, it is biological and a personal choice to want children. Humans are social beings. Social interactions create chemical reactions in our brains that bring us joy. Fulfillment is something that is constantly sought for, this is why there are social expectations being brought up. The institutions from that past have made us biased, it is up to our own choice (based on lived life experiences) to decide what we believe is right. This is why the question to have sex before marriage bothered me. Yes, it should be okay. It is not okay to let people go along with their own devices and be ignorant going into a fully committed relationship (the social expection marriage brings) Along with that, people change. We can just tell from this video, the guy with the blue hat changed, so did the girl with tattoos, and the lesbian. We are not static in our lives, aging is a part of that, with a growing brain to a deteriorating body, we all change.

  • @reffman
    @reffman 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    The major issue I see people make when referring to the Bible is misinterpreting/misreading it. It is a collection of books, and as such, should be treated like multiple books. Each book has its own unique audience, circumstance, time period/culture, and intentions. It'd be like trying to read a history book like a story book. You'll read the same text, but the meaning behind the text won't hit the same. This is why such things like the book of Leviticus are debated. Leviticus was the ancient law for the Jews before Christ and the new covenant. Some things, such as women needing to cover their hair was a cultural thing as having your hair down in that specific time and culture symbolized being a prostitute. These things are often overlooked by casual readers and can lead to very extreme beliefs and "picking and choosing" what to follow

      No, I get that. Most kids have crushes even before puberty. But that one guy was incredulous that the older woman could have written love letters in high school to her friend and not realized they were, in fact, love letters. My point is that this isn't that uncommon for women. Especially in light of purity culture and no sex before marriage. A lot of young women can misinterpret romantic feelings toward other women as friendship. We're force-fed the idea that we need to find a husband and have children. We're also told that men have more sexual drive than women and that it's normal for women to not really enjoy sex. If you're also maternal and have always wanted kids, this combination of messages can be confusing and prevent girls and women from really knowing their sexuality. So many women marry young, have kids, and don't realize until their 30s, 40s, 50s... that they're actually gay. I doubt men could make it to middle-aged and not know that they have some attraction to men, but it's not at all uncommon for this to happen to women. @@Waywardification
