- Chris gets nostalgic for his love of the Masters of the Universe property and talks about how rad the new Cartoon Collection of Action Figures are. Do you have any of these? what are your thoughts. Does He man tickle your time machine?
I am also a 77 child and He-Man was my go to. I honestly didn't know about the new Cartoon versions and they look awesome. I stopped collecting most things a few years ago and sold off 95% of what I had. Wife and I won't be having kids and I've no nephews or nieces to pass them to. Other than my The Crow memorabilia and some misc toys sitting on a shelf behind me when I stream I'm at a minimum. Sometime I'll tell you how I lost thousands of dollars in mint condition MotU, Thundercats, Transformers, GoBots, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K, and other 80's toys. Heart breaking.

Star Wars, He Man, Voltron, Mask, Real Ghostbusters and tmnt were my bread and butter, but I also really loved centurions, Bionic Six and Sky Commanders. On top of that a smattering of Go Bots, Transformers were thrown in.

Hellyeah!!! Motu is my childhood line. Been collecting Origins, Cartoon and Masterverse. I only get the ones I like. Can't wait for The Prince Adam Cringer 2 pk. I hope we get Two-bad, Modulok, Multibot, Dragstor, Stondar and Rio Blast at some point. I was also born in 1977. So I grew up with all the greats as well. But Masters has always been at the top. Just like you...Huge Horror movie fan too.
The original He-Man cartoon was probably my #1 favorite cartoon until Transformers came out. I loved the show...largely for Sorceress, lol. I never had any MOTU toys as a kid...I think my little brother had the Dragonwalker, Roton and a Battle Armor Skeletor, though. But that was it. I was not collecting toys when the Mattel Classics line was coming out (probably for the better, lol). But, I did pick up the A-list characters from the Origins line starting in 2020. I think the last figure I got was Mantenna. I know...he's not an A-lister, but, he's so ridiculous that I coudn't pass him up. In hindsight, I wish I would have known they were going to produce the Cartoon Collection...probably would have held out for those instead! Regardless, Origins has been a fun ride and an excellent way to update retro designs.
I was born in 73' so yeah MOTU was a lot of my life back then. Along with the wrestlers, and transformers. Mostly MOTU. This cartoon filmation MOTU line inspired me to start collecting them lol I have wave 1 and 2. So still need to get Evil Lyn, Webstor. I don't believe Clawful or Spikor has been released yet. Could be wrong. Haven't heard or seen anything about them being out yet.

Hey! I'm not sure where I got it. It was a gift from my wife, along with a few more Motu shirts and Cringer sweatpants. I didn't bring up the movie because I just don't trust it yet. When there is 100% solid proof of them actually on set and filming, THEN I will start to get excited about it. They have been trying to get a new movie off the ground for 20 years.

So where I grew up, we only had KBToys, Ames, Hills and Kmart Department stores. I actually didn’t step foot into a ToysRus until 1989 or 1990 when I was a teenager and the family went to a big city haha. I did grow up with toysrus and child world commercials.
Honestly Chris I love the origins line, but we haven’t got them in the uk since the line with clawful in, and I don’t like how they bring out a lot of in my opinion unnecessary variants, give us a origins granamyr not a comic book beast man or a green teela, give the robots from snake mountain 👍🏻,
