The worst thing is not a single national news platform came forward and reported about this tremendous disaster. Bengal gave India 5 Nobel Awards. People are proud of such awards but the land which raised these legends is getting destroyed. This is much worse than natural calamity. Support West Bengal. Its need of the hour.

Been to 24 South Paraganas of Sunderbans with my batchmates in 2018. The people out there are so honest towards their work because it is all they have to sustain their day to day livelihood. All their bunds that we saw were kutcha and would not have been efficient enough to tackle such a devastating calamity. They had recently got one pump in their village for a safe drinking water and the lands cultivated were subsistent only. Having seen their tough ways and their commitment to lead a decent life which many amongst us might never think possible, it breaks my heart to watch this.
If only the most strongest ones in life yet the most vulnerable ones we have in our country could get some aid from the top tier ones of our nation😔
Being a resident of KOLKATA witnessed the horrible and terrifying moment of my life. Super Cyclone Amphan was very ferocious and deadly. Feeling very sad specially for the poor people who have faced the brunt of this natural calamity the most. Maa Kali pls pls help this poor people to come out of this crisis.

The Sunderbans fall under both India and Bangladesh. Regarless in the cyclone Amphan both the areas are affected, but it is more severe in WB because the cyclone made landfall over Sagar dwip which falls under India.

I don't know about this news media or if they will reply to you but I can definitely give you one heads up. Try searching for mayafoundation.net, do your research and see if you can trust them and do whatever bit you can and that makes you feel. This is a site I found credible and reliable but please do your own research. they have numbers you can call and verify also they are helping the worst effected areas usually ignored by all Everytime that is the Sundarbans and devastation it had to suffer. Also trust me on this don't try the government site donation made there will reach few but never the ones who need them the most. I believe you are kind and careful enough to do the right thing. in Bangladesh many crops has been damaged in khulna and Rajshahi. Rajshahi Division is one of the major source of crops and fruits in Bangladesh.
I am from West Bengal..not to surprise to see the apathy of mainstream media to us..same kind of discrimination happened at the time of flood in Chennai, kerala..
I would try growing these fruit trees in that area if possible, Coconut Palm
, Date Palm, Fig, Key Lime, Pomegranate, Pummelo, Mangroves.

Sundarban has reduce the speed of Amphan in WB and Assam..
Enough 2020 beg of you 🙏, we fell Amphan in city which was 25% lesser according to sundarbans and other coastal area, but still our heart was on mouth, 1st it was Corona and now the cyclone, fell extremely sorry for this people...... only poor have to pay the price 😞😣

Huge loss, but the people of Sundarbans are fearless and strong, they live amongst Tigers and crocks. They will surely recover from this I'm sure.
Only sustainable livelihood in that area is fish farming and coconut trees that is profitable. Vegetables and paddy grown just to support themselves. It essentially means for another few years they will have rely heavily on fish farming.

It's much more than Aila and Bulbul.. I have never ever seen this type of cyclone.. It was really very scary... Being in roofed house we were so scared so what about poor people .. The most affected by this cyclone is the poor people.. Pray for bengal ..

Today a police CI mr. Vishnu Dutt Bishnoi of Rajgarh , churu, rajasthan committed suicide under suspicious circumstances. Please do a story on this if possible. The man has immense support from the locals and was respected and had an image of a dedicated clean officer. Media reports so far suggest that he was under tremendous pressure and 4-5 constables or officers were line attached and he was left all alone. Please do a story to bring out the reality of police system and management.
It is reserve mangrove forests..no habitation should be allowed in this area. When we are playing with nature , this is side effect people have to face. Poor people have faced all this. Pacca houses, hotels and tourism is already spoiling these mangrove . Is it necessary that everyplace has humans residents be it mangrove forests or be it natural parks ?? We must provide people living there with other means of livelihood snd place to live to save nature and human sufferings also..
I think so called National Media avoiding West Bangal wantedly. As a person from Tamil Nadu(Victim of 4 major cyclone in last 2 Years), i am following this Amphan cyclone closely. Kindly request to West Bengal people, dont Allow BJP in your state, in case you want to elect someone esle other than MB, Please select some one within the state, who really care for its own people.
