Had no doubt you would snag that last log with ya Tonka'..lol'..& as for the well slanted hill..you had it blitzed John..& here's to Gus & Booms new clogs😊..as Farriers take my mind back to your olle' blacksmiths & medieval days..overall' gotta really appreciate the fact of what a special logger you are..honest, hard working...& with your true value of Gus & Boom..always refreshing..keep yourself toasty, safe & God Bless😊👍
Best of luck in the competition, John ! I always had to "tractor" log when I had blow downs on the property . With 71 acres, we had quite a few . I used an older Ford 4 cylinder diesel 4x4 with a fork set up on the bucket loader . Drag them out and then pick the logs up and carry them to the landing . It's not as efficient as a pair of horses like Gus and Boom, but I got the job done . I'm glad you let the crew off the hook for this one . Burn a little fuel instead of a little hay. Sure isn't as quiet in the woods as the boys are, though .
Agree with you on horses being naturally tired and the silliness worked out of them instead of using ace. Hope you are able to film some of the competition . Also, wow, your camera & filming skills are like a pro now!
❤🎉 Awww Gus and Boom gonna be in a competition.. that's nice of you (and them) to help the farrier out.. Can you ride them around the pasture to get their wiggles out and make us a video of it ..??😁 I mean don't get bucked off or anything.. just a thought.. Hopefully the Ace is pretty routine and they know how much to administer right ?? I can understand your hesitation though if they've never had it before. . And yes that hill looks very steep I would struggle walking it I'm sure.. By the way anybody dreading weather in the teens is not a wuss -- it's nothing to make light of even here in Wisconsin. People can try to push their luck and might find themselves in a ditch half frozen. Gotta respect the conditions and know your limitations.. So keep warm and safe ok.. thanks for the video.. 🐎🐎😊❤️🙏🌳🌳🇺🇲
Thank you very much. Yep they know how to administrate it. It getting down to the teens tonight I don’t feel comfortable getting the boys hot and sweaty really I’m not used to the cold Nora are they but I pass several people asking for videos of me Ryan though I’m gonna make that happen thank you and have a great night
Hey buddy, sure have missed ya. Life's got all up in my way lately, but I'll catch up. My farrier was a competitive farrier before he had to save his back for the warmblood circuits. Those fellers have a sixth sense. Really thoughtful of you to wanna take the rough off Gus & Boom ahead of time, but you'll know prior if Ace'in is necessary. Don't sell your hot shodders experience too short if your boys decide to be a couple of high headed pranksters. Let em work their magic. Your guys will do fine, my dude. Totally look forward to that vid. Sure hope you've been doin well in these temps 😊

Yes, they are very good. It should fun as long as my choker heads don’t mess them up. I’ll be happy chappy thanks. I hope you’re doing great.
Wow, I've seen hot shoeing before and it is amazing. I've seen the farriers at Arlington National Cemetery.
Cool
ACE and extreme temps don’t mix. The boys are pretty tough, but…
True
Will you have a video of Gus and Boom getting their shoes?
Maybe we’ll have to see how things go. I’ll try thanks.
I think you're gonna get what we just got in southern Ohio. Not fun.
