Earlsy scoring on Saturday would be hectic but if he never scores again he's still one of those Irish players you hope we can reproduce, for us supporters and for the team - always such a pleasure and thrill to see him on the pitch. Thanks so much Earlsy!!
What kiety has done for people who suffer from mental health challenges is heroic and his try scoring and fizz has been a pleasure to watch for us supporters
@@ocodeskamcdbsm id say he does get the recognition he deserves, certainly these days. There was 100 percent a period where he was fighting with players like Fitzgerald or whoever for a starting jersey where he probably fell victim to the Provincial rivalry debates. But the respect he has from all areas of Ireland is right up there now. especially since his openness about being bipolar. He has two legacys secured in most peoples mind, Great player/career and also somebody who used his influence in a brave and vulnerable way. Top guy
@@molloyju I still don't think he gets enough recognition. Besides him opening up to his mental health struggles, and being an outstanding player and person, people forget he spent years playing with roughly 50% lung function. Even though he was under massive pressure in his chest, he still put the future of the team before himself and at times didn't accept a call up to the team as he knew he was doing well physically and didn't want to be the one to ruin a possible win by underperforming. That alone shows the type of person he is not to mention all the rest Ironically, when he turned down Andy Farrell, initially , after another phone call from Andy, as more players got injured, he took up the offer but in doing so also led to him eventually being diagnosed with the issue that they had spent years not knowing what was wrong. Some even told him it was more than likely psychological as they couldn't find the problem. But taking up the offer to play was the best decision he made even after he had told Van Gaan that he was retiring
Keith Earls os an absolute legend. Ehat this guy has had to endure in his life and still both play and be a fantastic human is an inspiration. To think, for years and years he was only working on 50% lung function on-top of his mental health issues and still played is just unbelievable. He is wildly respected by rugby players around the world. To see/hear the emotion from O Mahony speaks volumes
Keith earls is a legend of irish rugby and has gotten better with age. He went through soom though times but kept bouncing back, and im happy he got the recognition he deserves. 👏🏻
Pete welling up, a Leinsterman giving so much credit to a Munster man, just shows the togetherness in the Irish camp. Roll on France. We deserve this 🇮🇪
I think you will find Peter O`Mahony is a fellow Munster man! Sexton is the only Leinster player here. But when the green jersey is put on all 4 provences become one team.
I think we are all so so proud of keiths achievements. Principly as an athlete how hards hes worked and his lengevity. And it wasnt just hanging on he got better as a player and athlete as time went on. Hes simply the best winger weve produced
So delighted Earl's reaching 100th cap, understated legend deserves everything for what his given to the green Jersey, not to mention the red of Munster🥰🫶
He's done a lot of great stuff, for me the greatest was collecting Sexton's chip during the 'overtime' drive at the end of the France game in 2018. It was the first game of the season, but it set up the whole Grand Slam. We were struggling to make any further ground through driving it and the move required an amazing level of courage and precision, Earls coming in off the wing so his momentum wasn't taking him towards the touchline. hope he makes the RWC squad but not optimistic, even though his record suggests he covers every position from 11 upwards.
I feel like Keith Earls is and always has been a massively underrated player! As a winger, for me he’s right up there with Shane Williams and the very best! Quick, great step, great rugby brain, brilliant skill set, great boot, always made good decisions and a great finisher! In terms of Ireland he’s right up there with BoD! Now he’s a bit older and bigger you could comfortably play him anywhere beyond fly half - real utility back and he has to go to the World Cup imo... 🏴👍
Keith Earls always a pleasure to watch a real study in brilliant rugby which England need to study. Come on England play like Keith Earls with passion, focus and intensity. Hahaha. Stock up on the Guinness as England will win surely. Hahaha. Come on Ireland give England a good hiding. Hahaha.
Pete was tearing up. That’s authenticity.
He's an emotional man 😂
He nearly had me tearing up
Peter O’Mahoney strikes me as a very deep man

What an amazing try! It felt like a fairytale.

The man is an absolute legend and he definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves

@@molloyju there are some great articles about Earls talking about it all. It is just unbelievable what he had to endure

Everyone else in the squad: I used to look up to Kieth and finally got to play with him…
Sexton: I remember when he was called up from the u19s 😂

Wow. So the task is to beat the English and get Earlsy over in the corner, yeah ?!!

I bet the plan is to give it to Keith if at all possible :)
He has to score something 🙏
Mission accomplished!
