Thanks for this, I am on the hunt for a home defense 9mm and I saw the CZ75 at a shop over the weekend I thought it felt very good in the hands and a very solid build, just a little big for me. I really think the CZ75 Compact is the way to go.
I have this one and love it. Shoots like a full size gun...very easy to hit what you are looking at. Put rubber grip panels on it and it is now awesome. Have an 85, 75 SS and a 75 that is a decocker too. Being a Colt 1911 guy, these were an easy addition to the collection. Cocked and locked!
@@erik22lax I would pass on a decocker. I got it about 10 years ago for $350 and it came with 4 magazines and a set of custom wooden grips that were worth over $50. Wanted multiple guns like this model so my dad and I could blast steel plates. If not such a good deal, it wouldn't be here.
CZ pistols are the best bang for your buck on the market. 75, p10 series etc all have great accuracy, ergonomics and are gonna eat any ammunition you feed them
@@erik22laxwell lucky for you it’ll operate more like a shadow 2 because the Sp-01 and shadow 1 are the same guns parts wise but different optioning for the decocker or safety and obviously the frame and slide were cut differently but that’s it. The shadow 2 is the competition version of the shadow 1 and sp-01
Your impressions are right on! Great feel in the hand, controllable, 15+1, etc. I own the CZ 75D PCR, P-07, & P-10. I shoot better with each one. Enjoy!
I just ordered one I’m gonna take it to CZ Custom here in Arizona and have it modified and switched over to a single action only with a flat trigger and have a optic cut for our RMSC put on there that should be sweet
@@facelessman5362 I don't want the double action trigger pull-that's hard to train two different pull weights esp for a self defense situation-with the manual safety version you only use it in single action-if I had the P-01 with the decocker I would have to practice the DA and SA trigger pull equally in order to feel comfortable with it
You can also order 14round factory magazines that fit flush to the grip. I like them much better. I don’t like how the 15 round mags hang out of the Handel a bit..
it's brand new must be the camera/lighting-the finish on the regular CZ models I like. The finish on the Shadow 2 is different and it is super slick and I don't like it as much.
@@erik22lax I see. I’m torn between the glock 19 and cz75 compact. I hate the glock ergonomics, I also hate the trigger. It feels like a brick in my hand but I just love how light it is.

If you have the full size cz75 with safety, and the compact with safety, can you swap slides? that way if you have large size hands you get a good grip but with the smaller slide.
Thanks for the beauty show. Going to get mine tonight can't wait ! Probably going to knock my sig p228 out of first place in that size & class. Its like the gun you wear when taking your lady out.
@@erik22lax Bought a pair of wood grips with CZ logo, for when in the mood, also raced CZ moto cross bikes in the 60s. What sights are good for old eyes, noticed original were hard to see. Thanks Subscribed !
I'm so bummed.....I absolutely love everything about this pistol....It's beautiful, reliable, and I can't keep it. I'm not fat, but my hands are beefy. My skin gets under the trigger and impedes my ability to pull the trigger all the way to the break. If anyone has experienced this and has a solution, please let me know. If it could break sooner, we'd be golden.
All steel and polymer is all I use. Not a fan of alloy. CZs make great guns.. however its not better than Glock. No gun is better than another as it stands. It all depends what fits you better and works with you better.

Must have a CZ75, 1911 and Hi Power in a collection. I was admiring one of those a few days ago. I think I will be picking it up.
👍
Yes, ...and 2-3 couples of glocks, desert eagle and 5-7...)
Just got too, a Mans gun to carry. Picking mine up today, Yay !
Ordered mine. Can't wait to go pick it up. First handgun I've ever bought
Nice!
Hit a home run first time at bat ! Congrats ! Pick mine up today, Yay !
Love my CZ 75 Compact! Bought it new in 2018 and is my favorite pistol. Almost the perfect fit in my hand.
It does fit my hand perfectly. The 75b grip is noticeably larger.
Would it be fine for large hands?
I wear large gloves and theyre perfectly fine unless you fr have some meaty claws@@markelliott6850

I don't have any decocker models yet but am eyeing the p01

I have the same marks. Changed the trigger because of slap as well as a few springs. Works like a charm every time.
I have XXL hands and this pistol feels great. No issues. Excellent choice.

i only have the all metal CZ's. Some of the polymer models can be had for under $400. Fantastic quality for the price.
@@erik22lax yeah they I have a p10f and it shoots great. Nothing else in that price range is even close to the quality that I know of
Just picked up mine last week to go along with my full size 75BD and Berreta 92FS. Also planning to add an optic in the near future.
I wish they made the 75 compact in a decocker version.
@erik22lax The CZ 75D PCR is a decocker. No manual safety.
Sp01 with a Cajun trigger best gun ever, very reliable, very ergonomic highly recommend
I actually have the SP 01 and was going to get some Cajun GW parts for it and try to make it perform like the SP 01 Shadow

Outstanding pistol!
It's as accurate as the 75b. It fits in my hand so well can't wait to put NS on it
Picked up a PCR for ccw the other day. Love it.
I was curious about the magazines.it comes with. I am not sure if they are the same as the 75 compact or not.

I’m with you. I much prefer metal framed ones.
All metal, hammer fired, manual safety. That's what I am sticking with going fwd.

P01 is slightly thicker. IMHO decocker or safety doesn't matter. Have both love both.

VZ grips also make really nice G10 grips for the CZ compact!
I got G10 grips on my other CZs going for wood grips on this one
Yes they do! They are weatherproof too. Unlike wood..
Love CZ's, esp. all metal ones. Just a note: I think "Handel" is a music composer. That's HIS (family) "handle".
Great video brother, i picked up the shadow 2 a month ago i love it, all my guns so far are metal.
I still have the polymer ones but they collect dust now. Shadow 2 is a tank. I want my 1911s to be as heavy as the

What an awesome firearm.
What a beauty.
Which one would you recommend / prefer? CZ 75 compact or CZ 75 P01?

Meh it is all steel so kind of heavy. Better options like the p01 or 75D and they have a decocker

No decoker?
Not an option for this model. That's the 75D or P01 that comes with decocker.
Is it possible to change the safety to a decocker on the compact?
You can decock it with your thumb. The decocker messes with the trigger.
