MoYu has finally updated their well-known AoFu 7x7, now with the "WR M" moniker much like their flagship 3x3s of recent times. Cameron goes into the cube's specifications, turning, performance, and whether or not it holds up to other 7x7s such as the X-Man Spark M 7x7 in 2022.

@@Seweyy23 That too, something like the Yufu or YLM is more of a budget cube.
@@SpeedCubeShopOfficial I feel like doing a comparison with 'budget' ones would be more complete, as most speedcubers are familiar with the mgc 7x7 as opposed the the spark. At my last competition, I think only 1 or 2 people were using a spark, and the rest were using the mgc(or the hays, but that may just be because they bought it in 2018 and didn't upgrade).
The lube storage system basically just makes the lube last longer in the cube. If u put lube in those holes it would take longer for it to come out making u have to lube it less often.
What I get from the "Lube Storage" is that the pieces have a place to keep/store the lube so that it will automatically "re-lube" the piece until the storage runs out.

The 2021wrm maglev I’ve noticed has the same holes and when I’ve gone for a clean there’s still been some lube in there. So I guess it builds up in there as you lube and use the cube, then leaks out over time with usage

4:14 i think it could happen, the space issue was already fixed with the rs2m evo dual adjustment system, so theres no reason why they couldnt use that on a 7x7 as well
I have a doubt... If there is a 2 day cube event and the event that I want to participate in that is on 2nd day, so is it mandatory to go 1st day for registration there?

I imagine that it's just that if you overlube it the lube will go into the little holes and as it dries out the lube will leak from the holes.

Okay, me along with many cubers have only the mgc, so how does the aufu stack up against it?
That's what I'm wondering. I ordered an MGC literally a day before this released, and now I'm hoping I didn't make the "wrong choice". I've been getting back into cubing recently and my lord the hardware is so much better than it was back in 2013-2015. Even if the MGC is worse I'm still happy with it.

Funny that you mentioned the old pillowed AoFu but not the previous version of AoFu which is AoFu GTS M. And why aren't you comparing it to the MGC 7x7? MGC is more popular than the Spark currently.
As for the "lube storage system", I've always thought that those holes were to use less plastic and make the cube lighter. I think I've seen them in the Meilong 12 and some other big cubes.
I don't think a dual adjustment system is necessary for 7x7, but weaker and stronger springs would be nice for those who prefer their cubes on the loose side or more stable.
@@SpeedCubeShopOfficial Spark dominated the 7x7 market until MGC came out. Even though MGC is like half the price, it's all personal preference now, and many top solvers actually prefer the MGC. The budget one is YJ Yufu v2 M.
