The first scotch I ever tried was the Ardbeg An Oa, so I feel like I jumped into the deep end of the pool right off the bat. Although "medicinal" was definitely what I smelled and tasted, I liked it. Have also had their 10 year, and liked that too.
Outstanding as always gentlemen and for once, I had a bottle to drink along with you. I am an Ardbeg fan and after I saw a review of this bottle by another TH-cam whisky reviewer I respect, I picked up a bottle. The reviewer said the barrels were toasted using an infrared method vs. fire. It is supposed to toast deeper and more evenly than fire. The note you posted about the extra mocha toasting of the cask heads is icing on the cake. I really like this bottle. There are extra layers of flavor to it that make it special. Thank you and keep up the great work. Kudos to Larry. Cheers...
Never had this one, this was about the time when I lost interest in Ardbeg releases as they felt a bit overpriced and underwhelming... I guess I lie a bit, since I did get 3 bottles of BizzarreBQ since that one was super tasty. For like 90 euros too so such a good deal. I love how Malcolm is turning into a peat fiend like most of us. One of Us, Gooble Gobble.
MC Escher, nothing like the self drawing hands... Great review gents!

I think I'm 3-4 bottles into BizzarreBQ myself. That one was a home run for sure.
