I saw her set randomly at Lollapalooza maybe like 2016 time as well, had a break in between artists I had intended to see. Absolutely blew me away with her performance. Been a fan ever since.
I was there, too! With my kid named Aurora who was 9 at the time-front row!! Instantly forever fans. I met her after a show at Thalia Theater. She wrote a note to my Aurora. She is just lovely.
EXCELLENT breakdown/analysis and reaction, Zack. You seem to get her right away, albeit this wasn't your FIRST reaction to her. If you REALLY want to get to know her a little better, then I highly recommend you check out the documentary called "HAIK". I don't expect you to REACT to it, even though many reactors have done that in the past (and have been totally blown away), but I would LOVE if you took the time to watch it. You won't regret it, that is for sure. It is one of the more beautiful things you'll ever see. Take care and stay safe 🙂 Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Aurora is not only fascinating, but super cute and talented! Please do a reaction to her HAIK DOCUMENTARY. The first half is mostly about her and the second half is her concert in the forest.
Simply one of the best 1 hr and 30 minutes you will ever spend. It's only dissapointing that I cant experience it for the first time again. I can sum it up as "magical".
Aurora is fantastic! I discovered her a year ago & am obsessed. She is such a beautiful, honest, talented, intelligent, caring & fascinating woman. Finally getting to see her live in December - I can’t wait! ❤ More Aurora please & thanks for this.
I could quite happily listen to her all day, she's magical. Her interviews are just as enchanting. Strongly recommended live performances of 'Lucky' and 'Through the Eyes of a Child'. Look for the concert at Nidarosdomen. She has a folksy take on Boney M's 'Rasputin' which is pretty cool too, especially if you are familiar with the original. If not, I would suggest a listen to the original first. Classic 70's disco (truly showing my age there😂😂😂)
Aurora channeling music direcly to ours heart, no matter where or who we are - and our human hearts are the same everywhere ( I am an 63 year old theraphist.. so I know a bit about hearts). I love to see Aurora reactions because she goes right in, if people forget themselvs and just listen. Aurora said in an interview that she had a plan when sha was young and that was that she had eight messages to the World ( or to the people on Earth) ... her forth Album is the fourth message ... so keep on listen! - and I will follow your journey whith her. So thank you for sharing your experience liten to her. Best regards from Bergen ( Auroras hometown) Norway
Many of her hardcore fans post on reaction videos that "Aroura is the 5th Element, and she must be protected at all costs." I kinda understand the sentiment, she seems ethereal. She seems to see the world from an entirely different perspective... It's a pleasure to listen to her
Like the fifth element, she appears vulnerable in need of protection, yet she is incredibly strong. She faces the inner demons and shows them to us, disempowering them. Do not confuse her openness and empathy for weakness!
Awesome reaction! I appreciate your taking the time to do some research. I've watched that Genius video several times, and it's really cool. The fact that she wrote it at 11 and it became her biggest song makes it all the more interesting to hear what she was thinking when she wrote it. It sounded like you didn't watch the entire thing. She addresses the Billie Eilish connection at the very end. She is indeed very fascinating, and if you're truly interested in learning more about her backstory and what makes her tick, there are some really good documentaries, such as "Once Aurora" and "HAIK" (which is half documentary and half concert). Many, many interviews too, which are always interesting.
Take notes that she write this song at the age of 9 or 11 i forgot, i think she wrote this when she had a fight with her family (parents or siblings) that makes her feel she doesn't belong there so she want to just runaway from there. I think most children's had that moment in their life at least once 😅 "I kept running for a soft place to fall", running to her room and crying in bed after fight
Another one without shoes! 💜💜💜 I listened to her explanation of the song. You are right, it is worth listening to! I love her description of “dancing in the rain”.
i like your enthusiasm while talking about her art. thanks for your reaction. she made a short intro to herself called 'AURORA - Into The Light', you will find it on her channel.
Very cool reaction and nice you checked this Genius video. Very unique and amazing artist with a interesting thoughts and view on many things. She has so many great songs! And even the idea how deep she went with these meanings in the age of 11 is very impressive. I liked your reaction very much :).
If you watch the official video for this song, you will see the actual ocean she is speaking about. Part of it was filmed behind her parents' house in Norway. And there is a cliff overlooking the sea. She is also in the woods where she would play.
Take a look at some of Aurora's interviews, she is intelligent, thoughtful, wise beyond her years, honest, passionate about many issues, quirky, very funny and risque at times.
Her Interviews and the press day from this is worth checking out, Aurora brought a Pinecone with her to keep her grounded lol. She was terrified and said she may have "peed herself" a little bit. She is very funny and genuine.
Amazing performance, considering how scared she was. As an introvert, it took her a long time getting comfortable on stage, and apparently it's something she still deals with, as she had a funny unfiltered talk about it during her Glastonbury show this summer 😄. Love the Genius "analysis" of the song, and watch it occasionally just to hear her sing. Shows her obvious talents, but also her delightful and quirky personality.
Aurora is also really funny. React to "Aurora knows how to interview" pls. It's worth it. She takes two interviewers for a ride. There are interviewers who know how to handle Aurora and there are some who are simply overwhelmed. You have to know that Aurora is a creative genius and is very quickly distracted by external influences, followed by leaps of thought, followed by sometimes very idiosyncratic movements. In any case, extremely entertaining, funny, highly intelligent. And certainly far from the normal manners we are used to. Between all her wisdom, a funny and inappropriate but always friendly helloooo motherf**kers comes flying. She gives no shits, even at the Oscars. She is the one who says no when she is asked if she is going to the after party and prefers to get something at the nearest snack bar. Which she did. Her interviews, podcasts and funny compilations are worth watching. At the age of 6 she was already composing and played piano, at the age of 8 lyrics came. At the age of 9 she wrote "Lucky". An anti-suicide song. What you should see "live at Niderosdomen". What did you do when you were 9 years old? Certainly don't deal with such topics. Death has always fascinated her, but never scared her. She also experienced a lot of loss early on. She wrote "why did you have to go" for a friend who died in an accident and sang this song once (live) at his funeral. She lost another friend in the massacre in Norway, where a gunman killed 83 people, including many children, with bombs and bullets. For the bereaved, she wrote "little boy in the grass".
Great comment😊 A little correction: He first killed 8 people with a bomb in Oslo, a building complex that housed numerous government offices. Fortunately people were on a holiday, otherwise much more people would’ve been killed. Then he shot and killed 69 people on the small island Utøya, mostly youths. So in total 77 people were killed that day🥺
I found her only 2 months ago. Since then i have watched dozens of her songs/videos. She is still progressing in her music. Watch some of her Vevo Live recordings . Im so obsessed that im seeing her in October 2nd at The Royal Albert Hall London. Acoustics will be amazing in there
Yes, great reaction, she is a wonderfully weird, quirky and so very authentic artist. Would love for you to check out her most recent live Vevo performance of Some Type of Skin or done the same day at Vevo, Soul With No King from her current album dropped 6/7/2024. Thanks, hope to see more Aurora on your channel soon.
If you can handle watching with subtitles for an hour, this is an incredible visit with Aurora and includes a surprise concert! Haik : th-cam.com/video/n_uW-0HDWoc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P_cHjRLjIXbTcnyz
Yes, to know Aurora is to adore her! She's also known for her interviews. One of my favorites: th-cam.com/video/uoYgReFWq2c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZK0MkakoknDwI6mf
I've become as addicted to Aurora the person as I am to her music. All of her interviews are insightful, weird, and just warm your heart. She also has two documentaries I'd recommend even if it's on your own time (HAIK and Once Aurora). As far as what to react to next...since you did two of her earliest performances it might be fun to do her most recent (and then hit the million in between). Here are two very recent Vevo live performances that are fantastic... th-cam.com/video/s95nd960XsY/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/hSdieDadgM8/w-d-xo.html

Could you elaborate on Thore messages? Link to interview? Please?
I belive her true gift is using music to capture feelings most of us have but cannot put into words.

👍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
Her cover of David Bowie 'Life on Mars' (NRK April 2016) is probably better than Bowie's original....and you don't say something like that lightly!
Ilora dannon? I have not heard a reference to Willow for some time. Aurora is brilliant.
