Unfortunately, low public spending translates into poor development outcomes. The country is among the eight economies with the lowest human capital in the world, ranked 167th out of 174 countries on the World Bank’s Human Capital Index. @mbhekitembe2179 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

GDP per Capita of a country is a function of the relationship the citizens have with their economy. Many Nigerians are fixated in amassing as much money rather than expenditure within the economy. This leads to a very thin middle class, and without a strong middle class, there is no hope of economic prosperity. Nigerian society must take a close look in the mirror and see themselves for who they are.

It's time we got rid off the ANC and bring the DA to take SA to the top because I don't think the Nationalist EFF wannabe PRO Pan-African crew can fix SA economic mess resulted from the poor ANC mis Mismanaging off SA taxes since 1994 and failing fully to fix the imbalances off wealth, lands and inequalities left by the apartheid gov. The ANC tried a bit to fix the errors off Apartheid out of 10 may give them 3. Now we need a new party neither the EFF or the ANC but the DA to test SA democratic systems.

Multichoice is South Afican. Nigeria does not have a middle class. That is the reason. In South Africa we have even more alternatives than Nigeria. You can make up all the excuses in the world for Nigeria. The truth is that the Nigerian economy is very weak. In 2024 the Nigerian economy is at $253 billion . The GDP of Joburg alone is $223 billion. Imagine 21 million people in Nigeria and 5,7 million people in Joburg. Stop comparing SA to any other African country. It will give you heart palpations. Products from SAn companies have always been cheaper in Nigeria than in SA. I noted MTN and MultiChoice in particular. My parents worked for the SA High Commission in Abuja from 2006 to 2011. When they got there, DStv premium was around R400 a month when we were paying R480 at that time. The Rand was trading at N20 at that time. We used to buzz them and they would call us using their MTN SIM card because it was always cheaper to call SA than for us to call Nigeria. If SA get rid off the ANC and bring in the DA to fix SA econony SA can take its rightful spot being the real Giant off Africa. The ANC has been too nice to Nigeria and to the rest off african states in terms of conducting business as concerned. The ANC became sloppy and got slipping when the MTN was fined in Nigeria to boost Nigeria GDP. When u compare what SA gives Nigeria in terms off employment and SA big corporations that pay taxes over the in Nigeria dont match what Nigeria gives SA.
