For everyone that doesn't know: This kind of content does very well on TH-cam and creates a lot of money for the creators as you might imagine if you see the viewer count of currently 46 million. So, the most common way to make content like this is, you take something (like this motorcycle for example), age it artificially so it looks as messy as possible, and then make a video about the restoration process. And this is how you can tell its artificially aged:
If you look at the corrosion patterns, you see a uniform patina that makes it look very beaten up (which in itself doesn't happen naturally). However, if you watch the cleaning-up process, you can see that the corrosion is only on the surface. If it would be slow corrosion over a long period of time, you would have parts more damaged than others and deep pitting in the most exposed parts as well as water condensation within the mechanical parts that aren't exposed to direct weather, which would cause corrosion even in sealed areas.
The insides of the motor look brand new. If you look closely, there is no sign the camshaft has worn. The oil is still liquid. After removing the surface corrosion with light tools, there is hardly any sign of material pitting left. If I would have to guess, I would say they poured salt water on it for a couple of months to make it look like that.
So, yes, you got fooled for money.

Спасибо , было очень смешно и больно )) Братки нанесли грунт без чистки и обезжиривания , после чего прошкурили и без обезжиривания решили сразу покрасить , после чего наглушняк покрасили вилки (с зеркалами) после чего покрасили с внутренней стороны движок , отдельного восхищения заслуживает работа с баком . Замечательно !
Покраска изнутри заслуживает отдельного комментария)) Ну тут мотоцикл на 1 выезд чисто, если поедет

Что это, как они реставрируют? На это смотреть невозможно. Они про существование смазки типа литола там, графитки не знают? Оси и болты на сухую загоняют. Зачем-то на дисках тормозных рабочую поверхность покрасили. Перья тоже покрасили, сальники не поменяли. Мот весь ржавый, ясно же что и камера загорания полна всякого шлака и он завести его ещё пытается. Поршневая вся ржавая, так он ещё и задиров по наделал после попытки завести. Та нормально, наждачкой потёр и поставил, во 👍. Надеюсь хотя бы кольца поршневые новые поставил. Прокладки под блок ю, и бумаги вырезал походу. Герметика на блок под целиндры нахреначил, масло каналы перекрыть может. Подшипники старые хрен знает в каком состоянии, помыл и обратно поставил. Ни клапана не притёр, ни сальников не поменял, ни момент затяжки по мануалу не выставил. Собрал двиг, заводить начал. Понял что ГРМ не выставил, слава богу, что клапана с поршнем не поздаровались. Цепь ГРМ растянутая может, замена. Свечи ржавые, забитые сажей, помыл, поставил обратно. Он гайды посмотрел хотя бы какие-нибудь. А мотоцикл жалко на самом деле.

На самом деле я удивлен, что они его завели) мот видать больше терпеть эти издевательства не смог и запустился только чтоб уехать от них😂

The motorcylce seemed to be abandoned for so long, yet the tyres isn't flat at all.. amazing..
So amazing, and these guys do this with no bike lift. I would have left the frame and the swingarm all rusty then clear coat them. Show some of it's old self in the design. TH-cam is the best, I love this whole vibe...with just the clicks and clinks of metal. A tiny bit of ambient music, the editing...incredible!

You did an excellent Job
That was obviously a good working bike, defaced and made to look a particular way over a very short space of time. Note the way certain rubber hoses came off, no dry rotting of the rubber etc, and the exact same tires went back on. Still a good job of disassembling and reassembling this bike, I also noted that paint went some places that are not supposed to be painted, like the shocks and inside the engine casing. and some parts went in with no grease, like the axels. Nice vid with a lot of trickery involved.

@@kochkin1086 думаю не только про неё. С закрашенным зеркалом амортизатора работа подвески становится на порядок лучше. А тормозной диск после покраски еще смазать желательно, чтоб не тормозил вообще.

Even more amazing than the motorcycle transformation was how the heck you put that engine back together correctly.
Not as amazing as why did they pull it apart in the first place? Why did they attempt to start it before even doing the valve timing?

Did you watch the engine sequence? It definitely needed going through. These motors are not difficult, and motorcycles in general are fun to work on, because everything is pretty accessible. In the western world though, a bike like this would just as likely be sent to the junkyard, because its not cost effective to pay a shop to rebuild it, and not that many guys want to learn how to repair their own machinery.

You are amazing. I know guys with twice the tools, a garage, and access to every kind of auto parts store you can imagine - NONE of them could do what you did. The parts you re-used would have been thrown out without even trying. AWESOME amazing job.

It was an enjoyable video to watch, but dont be fooled that bike was not restored, it was cleaned and painted with liberal amounts of bondo. Theres a reason alot of those parts wouldnt be re used for safety reasons. The chassis was full of rust holes and id be very concerned of its structural integrity. Bit of paint is not gonna re chrome the fork stantions for example causing fork oil to coat the brakes or tyres, not to mention cause unpredictable handling. The engine clearly was running very poorly i even saw they painted the cam bearing journals. Brakes werent serviced properly at all and stuck on immediately upon use. Bike would be downright dangeous to ride and a risk to the rider. Im all for recycling parts but safety should come first.

The other thing I will agree totally that’s a dangerous chassis. I was in the jungle of Mindanao I was in some town after learning jungle survival with my squad . Thank you Philippines special forces. Totally bad asses! I seen a father mother with 2 or 3 children all on the same bike while carrying groceries. So your right about the frame
@@thomasgun1329 I am a motorcycle mechanic from the UK i restore these things for a living, the main difference is i spend alot of money on bearings, seals, piston rings, crankshafts get rebuilt with new conrods and new wrist pins. Camshafts are re ground or replaced with new followers cam chains are replaced along with new guides. I build engines in a clean room and hone or re bore barrels in a machine not with a bit of sandpaper by hand. Valves get ground and seats are re cut with three angles for adjustment of seat width, i use dye and various calipers to measure components anything out of spec goes in the bin and i replace with new. I buy new base and head gaskets and check piston to head clearances, o rings are replaced also you dont just throw a bit of silicone on every single mating surface and hope for the best. Honestly I could go on and on with the issues i have with this "restoration" but by no means do i need a definition of what it means to restore something.
Ive done many of this style rebuilds when i was younger and learning and theres nothing wrong with it but if your putting it on youtube with a huge audience it should be done safely so people dont end up killing themselves or someone else.
