Sara looks a lot like Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls. When I first watched this movie at the theater I totally thought it was Alexis Bledel (this was of course before I knew who Sara was). Also, the actor playing the young "virgin" boy in this movie was the little boy in Gladiator. My, has he grown up.
@Howitfeel2bloved I think it's awesome that she volunteered to portray Mari in the film. Maybe the scene will convince people to get up off their asses and donate to shelters for sexual assault victims (organizations like RAINN). The scene really brings it home, you know?

The remake definitely was better than the original. Its bizarre hearing an actress say that she trusts the actor who plays the character who rapes her character. That is a nasty numb place to go to inside your head and why would she even want to. She gave an excellent performance but I still believe rape scenes are unnecessary.

@superfreak3634 I would have to say for it's time this version. The 1972 version scene's have too much filler with harassing the police, and not showing Mari shot. So this version isn't more brutal, but it has more depth.

I thought it was a great horror Flick. The rape scene was done with amazing acting. I could never put my thoughts into something like that, and have it come out the way it did. She is an AMZ+AZING actress to be able to be in that mind set.

Oh another hard scene to watch is from Steven King movie Doctor Sleep when Jacob Trembly character got brutally killed and the cast had a hard time doing it because of his screaming and they were all shocked how well he did the scene. Rebecca Ferguson had a hard time of them all. they had to cut a little bit of it out but you can see a some tears when she was crying.
