From meal prepping, vehicle conditioning, trip planning, fuel and weight management, finding resting areas, personal safety, loading/off loading, different rules and regulations from different countries, not to mention dealing with traffic, weather conditions and flat tires etc. we haven’t even started the actual driving part of the job. I am in Supply Chain field and learned so much about transportation from your videos which help my work. I love to see people enjoy what they do. Keep up with the good work both your career as well as TH-camr!

I'm glad I randomly came across this video. There's a very relaxing atmosphere with your content it seems. I like the serenity that comes with not just you talking but also the shots in your video. It's also interesting seeing what you do as a trucker! Very cool.
I've watched almost all of Yvette's vlogs over these last couple of months since TH-cam algorithm took me after i watched some Aussie truckie clips. (In Australia, a truckie is a trucker.) Long distance driving is something i do enjoy but i seldom do myself as i am a desk job person. More than 20 years ago, i did a road trip across US and Canada from Ocean to Ocean. It's a great experience all by myself. After 16,000km (10,000miles) in 6 weeks, North America certainly is a land of great diverse beauty and uniqueness. US and Canadian cities, given their relatively recent histories, are similar to those in Australia. However, out in the open road, it's just a kaleidoscope of offerings that are ever amazing to the sensory. I stopped at a few truck stops. Wow, the giant buildings are like small shopping centres and i could even have a shower after long driving. The scale is just another element of road trip across the Norrh America. I could even sleep in my little Nissan compact sedan in the yard among the trucks which was another experience on the road. Every time Yvette goes into one of these in her clips just brought back that child-like eye opening memory for me at the time. This year, i aim to travel in US and perhaps Canada via rail. AMTRAK and VIA Rail will be my transport to see North America from another perspective. Two different transport modes over 2 different eras, literally and technologically. I only wish TH-cam had been around back in in early years of the first decade of 2,000. I recommend all, if possible, do a long road trip in North America, with a friend or two or just by oneself. It'd be an experience that's beyond all expectations. Watching Yvette's vlogs is a great experience all by itself and it brings back a lot of fond memories. Truckies (truckers) and all other transport workers are to be admired and respected for their efforts and dedications. Thanks Yvett..

For your chicken drumstick stew I'd suggest getting an electric pressure cooker. For a young busy person something like an insta pot will make the same dish in less than half the time. Happy travels
I remember in the 80's when we first came to the US as refugee's... My parents would speak of how they miss the old country. We live under the same sky, but it's different how the sky embraces the Mountains, the sound of insects and animals in the distance, the smell of rice fields, how the bamboo rustle in the breeze. I'm pretty sure you feel the same. America is a beautiful country, it's beauty most American born does not see. Lean to make it home with the ones you love. Upper Midwest does suck though.. I know, too cold..

Here is alittle trick to keep your windshield and back window clear just put a old towel over your windshield and back window so when you get snow or frost on the windhield and back window just pull off the towel and you have a clear winshield and back window
I have to say its a good idea. However in this case If there is a strong wind, is there a possibility that the old towel will be blown away by the strong wind?

My brother did long haul from northern BC to The Lower mainland for a few years and he always hated going to lower mainland after a major snow storm as the Lower Mainland id the only place in Canada where drivers cannot drive with even a skiff of snow on the ground. After a few years of doing that and me worrying about him every day he left long haul to do day trip hauling which he has never regretted. Congrats on you as a female driver in a male dominated industry and succeeding especially in long haul driving kudos to you

I've been watching all of your videos recently, and it's really cool to see how much your videography and editing skills have improved since the start. I like how you're opening up more by sharing your thoughts as well. I'm Chinese but my mandarin isn't super fluent so I enjoyed learning some chinese idioms as well haha.
