What a great tone. I really enjoy hearing you play, and wish I'd make it to play as well as you. I've always been confused when wind instrument teachers say something that has to do with knowing how to control your diaphragm, because they ask if I can feel it with referring to my breathing patterns as I play. To me, it's like saying if I can feel my lungs, kidneys, etc... doing their jobs, and I'm a more visual person. Do you know how to clarify something like that?
Thank you for your kind words! I know it can be really tricky to describe things about your breathing as a flute player- you are totally right! How can I feel my lungs?!? Sometimes you have to use your imagination and use pictures/ images ( like opening and closing shutters on a window- breathing in is opening the shutters and breathing out is closing them). I sometimes have students lie on the floor with a book on their tummy and try to raise the book when they breathe in. It takes time- keep working and practicing! You will see improvement with consistency always!
The Mazzoni Duo strike again with flute and piano! I like God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen because of its snappy cadence!
This happens to be one of our all-time favorite carols! Glad you enjoyed it.
Sublime ❤
Thanks!

Notes?
It’s easy , most primary school flute duets include these but playing well is difficult!
We have this arrangement available for download - contact us at www.mazzonimusic.com for more info. Thanks for listening!
